why is everyone talking and focusing on drawing a picture? I thought it was the Mantra here that was supposed to be the focus ...is the mantra working for anyone? Please give examples...

is hard for me to pray to ganesh even if I want to.... first I do not have a statue or image, 2ND I don't have a puja I don't have none of those tools... so even though I close my eyes and I chant his name it never works because of that. i don't have THE MONEY to buy all those accesories.... make s me feel realy bad. :( i feel in my heart he is good, but I can't never feel his presence. can someone help me? thanks

Do the best you can, and use inexpensive versions of the tools, if you feel you need them. Draw a picture and color it if you need an image........Ganesh is not going to hold poverty against you, he is there to OPEN the path to a better life. He does not live by the limits of our beliefs, he lives by celestial laws...let yourself be expansive and creative about Ganesh......He is a big Sweetheart!!!!! No tears! ; ))

ravenoptima point is advice is right on, sometimes I will only have an orange and green 3''x5'' index card placed with a sketch of Lord Ganesha - I will also keep a plate out of fresh-fruit in thought and offer to Ganesha - using a Mala, String of Beads, or a Length of Rope with knots tied in it 'works" - to keep focus is needed while meditating, but to invite Ganesha into your Heart is to keep him there -, this can be repeated day and night, in your mind, anywhere, all the time

All paths are the same ~ I honestly do have a Rosary next to me ATM, and if I may suggest to maybe - imagine many soft beads floating freely through out a glowing blue stream of light/with every thoughtful inventive sweet breath/feel the beads you have imagined - glow even brighter, begin to warm up as the BlueLight expands into a powdery mist of baby blues and textural soft White Light -

Look, everyone is on their own spiritual path. We are lead where we need to go to experience and learn. I never knew about Lord Ganesh until I watched Eat, Pray, Love. I did some research on the internet about him and found it really interesting. I now wear a Ganesh constantly. I may not be Hindu but that doesn't mean I can't believe in him and his power. I've been studying alot of different Spiritual paths for the last 18 years. When the time is right the teacher will appear.

I mean I 'm new in this kind of thing. never tried this before , but every time i want to chant his name and close my  eyes i just get scare. @Chilenita2009 hey dear, I am great I don't know how to say this right, you can say, devotee or a great friend of Ganesh.... There is absolutely nothing to be scared of. The fact that you are intending do to this itself means a lot to my dear Ganesh. He will always be with you and guide you on your right path. I think no one is perfect in knowning how to chant... you are ur teacher... u need to find the way you feel comfortable chanting Lord's name.... Bless!!!

@chellamsangary thank you so much... i really want to experience this and ge t to know ganesh. i do not want t o be afraid of him i just want to feel his prescence, you see i'm christian nd staff. and i heard people saying that christians should not worship or praying to other gods.... bu i mean is that bad?? according to some people this ganesh and the others  idols have some kind of evil spirit... according to some people. what do you think?

@Chilenita2009 hey listen sorry to get back to so late... but prayers and mediation are done for one's spritual enhancement... there are loads of other ways you can approach Lord Ganesh.... even via reading ur Bible and doing the prayers your own way... Just remember Allah, Lord Ganesh and etc are just another name and another form of the Holy Trinity! I hope I helped! x

How weird is it that a non- believer posts this video. I assume whomever must have been into spiritual disciplines for a while only to lose faith for whatever the reason may be. I myself have been down that road many times, however giving up is no good. Some ppl, even in here, may have had incredible experiences while others have not and for those that haven't (yet), it doesn't mean Gods or blessings are non- existent, it just means you need to try harder to reach them :)

For all you non believers, I am a 18 year old white guy from texas that has never studied hinduism in my life. I set a small ganesh statue in front of me on my bed, and chanted this several times. after about 10 minutes of chanting my whole body started to vibrate, I closed my eyes and saw all purple with the outline of Ganesh floating in front of me for about 5 minutes. Do not doubt the existance of Lord Ganesha

There is no need to get hostile and insult my experience because I would not be sharing if it did not happen. Try turning inward and letting go of your doubts/premeditated beliefs, and you may experience something great as well. Open up your spirit rather than your brain.

I have had similar experiences while praying to Lord Ganesha. Now, I have seen people ask you this very same question repeatedly and I have yet to see a response; if you do not believe in Ganesha, why did you post this video? Perhaps you are the one who is mad.

Do you use recite mentally throughout the day? Use 108 mala beads, before and after sleep? Or recite mentally during sitting meditation? Which is more effective? Are all methods effective? I started using this mantra about 3 days ago, and I am noticing obstacles moving aside. Maybe it's my imagination, but I'm sold on this Mantra.

Just keep chanting, you don;t have to use a mala. You can say it mentally or out loud,

if in public, say it mentally. Ganesha is a true Blessing.
