@thegreatNEb wouldnt say they were slack shots, he forced federer into the errors on the 2 match points with offensive play. Baggy is 1 player who is capable on his day of taking it right up to the top players, probably should be joining them if it wasnt for injuries.

At this level, in order to win points you have to expect your opponent to make a mistake. Being better means making less mistakes.

give credit where credit is due, that's all i have to say in here. marcos beat federer when no one expected it. the guy, a player I've admired for quite some time now, showed perseverence and poise and stayed in the match mentally and physically when he could have easily just given it up if he had a weak mind. roger had one match point but Marcos made sure he won the match. Sure there were some lucky moments with some unforced errors on Rogers part, but all in all Marcos won beautifully.

Nobody disputes the fact that Roger is probably the best ever, but luck had nothing to do with this today. Markos played the best game of his career to beat Roger for the first time in 7 clashes.

and also do remember, hes just come back from a lung infection so it can take sometime to probably get used to the conditions especially his breathing n stuff.

exactly, first match back from a truly fresh recovery from a lung infection. if Federer was going to be beat, it would be now. he had a little trouble with a qualifier for christ's sake haha, when he would normally breeze through players like him.

it wasnt too bad, cauz he didnt get wiped off the court. this is a good match for him cauz its long and he had a lot of balls to hit for nice practice and looks on his game so far. not a bad performance by both.
