Do take proper care of yourself and I wish you a complete and speedy recovery. Listen,if you can handle such an 'exotic' instrument as the erhu...then the cello will certainly be a piece of cake at mastery. Many thanks for this very moving showcase.
I had one of those, but could never work out how to play it properly. My wife and I are very impressed. We wish you a speedy recovery from your eye surgery.
I often hear the erhu played here in Hong Kong. It has a really beautiful sound when played by the experts. I've also occasionally sung to erhu accompaniment.
i must confess i have never heard of the Chinese Erhu.sounds like the classic American Fiddle.i honestly can feel your magnificent version of shady grove cutting into my soul.magnificent!!!
Not really resurrected... I had eye surgery yesterday (right eye) and I have many restrictions concerning my activities. No bending, no lifting, no straining, no exertion, etc. In order to pass the time I got out my erhu which I haven't paid much attention to in quite awhile.
I thought I might as well make a few videos even though I am not very good at playing the erhu.
Hello
Lew...
Do take proper care of yourself and I wish you a complete and speedy recovery. Listen,if you can handle such an 'exotic' instrument as the erhu...then the cello will certainly be a piece of cake at mastery. Many thanks for this very moving showcase.

You got that right... the part about the experts.
I was taught by Lei Qiang back in the mid 90's but never really got the hang of it.
If you search Lei Qiang erhu on youtube you will hear this expert play.

So has Lew Dite been resurrected? Anyway, this is great. You have to be talented to play that thing and sing at the same time... Five stars.
