  • Nice handling tips. However seeing as you own Ts...you should know that Bella deserves a better enclosure...Its NOT a terrestrial species...Its arboreal.. They need height rather than floor space. Please fix it.

  • that is a great question. My rec. is this: have the person watch several other people handle the tarantula (friends, family, etc).  See that it doesn't hurt or bite others. educate them on tarantula body language and what movements mean and don't mean. what I have done and it has worked is to let the tarantula crawl from one person to the next and see how it feels to have a tarantula crawl on them. usually this is a big step and things go smoothly after this.

  • so how would a nervous person get to handle a really docile t?..like a ex-arachnophobic say and they have a pink zebra beauty that's been handled in the past.

    What would be the best start for him/her to take to build up confidence.
