I wish Mr. Eastwood would of finished the Man with no name and Dirty Harry! I got the perfect plot for both of them and would love to see the closure on both characters. I love the common sense that Mr. Eastwood laid out in this video! Don't waste your life texting, live in the now!!!!!!!!!
great clint, afwul couric, she seems intent on this being rude: clint's last chance,to say his worst film is,,,,,his most awful actors were,,,when are you headed for the river to fish, drink beer and die,,meanwhile she is boring us and clint, one of the finest actor/director, in the short history of motion pictures.
Yeah Katie where was you at when every witch way but lose came out.that wasnt a flop.that was the big hit of its time.geee'sInsult Eastwood why dont ya nag
Now Katie! why you ask a question of age.you know if a man would hve ask that age question it would have been "will Clint Eastwood is rude"! shame on ya katie
Great interview with two of my favorite celebrities. Thanks Katie and CBS. Mr. Eastwood, I've seen every film you've been in and/or directed/produced. Every one with a great social commentary or message we take with us. I love all you've ever done, including the social adverts for Humane treatment of animals (my life); you've helped influence the animal rights movement showing a man can be a tough guy, so admired, but understands the compassion of treating animals with love. With gratitude.
Couric is too much of a square to be conducting a twenty-minute interview with a reflective filmmaker like Eastwood. Indeed, she comes across as a house wife who won a chance to interview Clint Eastwood; if you're really prepared, how do you not know the title of a film that you're referencing?
By the way, Eastwood directed his first film before he ever played Dirty Harry, the title is "Changeling," not "The Changeling," and Eastwood doesn't direct "blockbusters" in that sense of the word.
Unrelated to family JEWELS: CLINT eastWOOD as JEWEL thief Luther Whitney in "Absolute Power” is compelling. The film’s VALENTINE’s DAY 1997 release coincided with my battling an outrageous transgression theft in my own life. Nevertheless, ED HARRIS as Seth FRANK; Scott GLENN as Bill Burton; melORA HARDin as Christy; ELaiNe KAGAN as Valerie could evoke youtube.com/watch?v=YsJyfJ0b-WA considering real-life (supposedly) P.O.T.U.S. Barack Hussein Obama putting ELeNA KAGAN on the U.S. Supreme Court
Do interviews with Couric types train in a special way to ask the most annoying questions - she's rude and arrogant and what has she done?! She's a talking head. Clint Eastwood handled himself like the gent he is, Katie Couric is most irritating. I listened because I enjoy Clint Eastwood.
Not a particularly good interview - mainly because every question was predictable and slightly dull - however, Clint is a true gentleman and is always worth stopping to listen to. His work rate is phenomenal and the quality he turns out is exceptional. It took a while but Eastwood the director is definitely among the American greats!
She asks the stupidest questions, one after another. I'm at 12:05 and she just asked Clint who was the most annoying person he ever worked with, and Clint just doesn't know what to say to that.
God i freaking love this guy. He has great acting skills, great morals, and a great outlook on life. I love listening people his age because of the wisdom that they have gained over time. People like this truly enlighten me.
I saw him at Disneyworld 15 years ago getting on space mountain and I couldnt bring myself to say hi cause I know the man has no privacy and I can tell you from what I seen in his eye he really appreciates privacy!
a little bit more CREDIT. CLINT should've ignored that "Go ahead, make my day" plea altogether and give her one of those priceless Walt Kowalski grunts, which made GRAN TORINO such an unforgettable experience to watch. "GET OFF MY LAWN, MISS COURIC!" "OR YOU"LL BE WEARING YOUR ASS FOR A HAT!"

When I saw my first CLINT EASTWOOD-movie "TWO MULES FOR SISTER SARA" at of the age of 12, I was pretty much, like his French adversaries, BLOWN AWAY. And from that moment on, that spellbound first encounter with his stunning portrayal of "that Hogan guy", I became more than a bit dedicated and

@uk6strings I think having the GUMPTION for her to ask him something like that AND him saying it was awesome!! No, not as catchy as the original but he thought about the scene and did a heck of a job. GREAT INTERVIEW!! 2 thumbs up = D
Aw, when he said "Go ahead, Make my day" exactly like in the film. So beautiful and touching. Don't ask me why it is. It makes my crying a little :'-)
I have to say, Katie Couric is a lousy interviewer. She seemed like she was trying to go for the "Tabloid Headline" more than just interviewing a man who is an icon in the movies and had had a brilliant career, and still going. I mean she asked about Every Which Way But Loose in a way that degraded the picture when in fact it was not only just a hit movie, but a fun well made movie at the time. Asking if there was someone who was a pain to work with is a ridiculous question! ............
....... And these people who keep bringing up Dirty Harry, it isn't even a little humorous anymore. It was a great role, they were great movies, but to keep sort of comparing everything with Harry Callahan after almost 40 years doesn't strike me as someone who is taking their interview serious. Clint has done so many great roles, from Kelly's Heroes to Play Misty For Me which I still think is an underrated film. Clint was great in Absolute Power and In The Line Of Fire as well as Coogan's Bluff
.... The list goes on and on. He's taken chances and I don't think he regrets whatever movie may not have been a "Hit" because I don't believe a "Hit" is what he expects. His choices I think have all been that of someone who sees taking a chance as fun and interesting as well as a learning experience. I think Two Mules ... was a misunderstood and underrated movie. The Outlaw Jose Wales, The Gauntlet, so many great roles and these morons keep asking him to say "Make My Day" lmao
.... Then there are so many great movies that he directed and didn't act in. Clint has become a brilliant director and will be remembered for his directing contributions to the movies. It was great to see him again on screen in Grand Torino yet interviewers the morons they are compared that character with Dirty harry! lol Same actor different role idiots! lol
If Clint played a blind gay man, someone would ask him if the character was an older blind Harry Callahan who realized he was queer! lol No matter what he does these idiots can't see past Dirty Harry! Every western John Wayne made he wasn't asked if it was a continuation of Tom Duncan his Red River character, yet because Wayne was the actor they all weren't Duncan they were all John Wayne. I don't know? I love the Dirty Harry movies, but I even get sick of hearing Clint ALWAYS asked about it.JMO

@KajiCarson You speak the truth. The subject matter (that heaven forbid, a racist can redeem himself and have valid reasons behind his fear of other races) insensed many of the snobs who would prefer purile, surpy and forgetable garbage like "Slumdog Millionaire" for Best Picture.

@KajiCarson Actually, if you're reffering to the academy awards, one director can only have one film up for awards if he releases 2 films in the same year, they chose the changelling - I personally preffered gran torino, but because they picked one doesn't mean they snubbed it.
@SpeedingStudent Gran Torino is one of my least-favorite movies of his. That doesn't mean it's not a good movie, just that I didn't like it. Million Dollar Baby was much better.
