  • vegans are faggots

  • @OurBenefactors That's what you're going with? nice

  • Hmm, Veggie Burger with cheese, which comes from milk which comes from, er Cows? Roasted Root Vegetables which are grown in the ground which you put manure on which comes from, er Cows? Oriental stir fry made with Soy Sauce which comes from Soya beans which according to your video are grown by destroying rain forest. You've not really thought this one through very well have you. STOP blaming individuals for global warming. Greedy Bstard corporations are the ones primarily responsible for it

  • Fantastic!

  • I like it! As Switzerland’s first Tofu-Master (1981) and Vegetarian since age 14, I find promoting “Grow Food to People a Great Idea”! Let's do it! Children shouldn't die anymore in Africa and other places!!

  • Animals wouldn't cease to exist if we stopped eating them They would still be animals, and living natural life cycles. They eat grass (mowers) and their manure is gold to an organic farmer. Animal overpopulation is due to human greed. We do not need meat protein to survive, and thrive.

  • This video is good but I have a question, supposing everyone in Britain did stop eating meat - what would happen to the animals? They'd cease to exist which defeats the object doesn't it? Cows, sheep & pigs are farmed...the farmers can barely afford to keep them healthy (vets bills, vacines etc) & fed now - that's with knowing they'll be slaughtered for meat - that's where their profit is...I mean we're not supposed to use them for dairy produce either are we?

  • @kellybabe6 if animals would be kept in smaller numbers, they would suffer less stress ans be heakthier, resulting in less vet bills etc.

It's the intensive farming that causes so much trouble as opposed to extensive farming that respects the biodiversity.

  • I eat soya and I run marathons go vegan!!!!!

  • fantastic video

  • Marvelous, but just Monday ain't enough for the wounded planet..

  • Guys, the meat eating matter is far beyond animal liberation.

  • Our Outfoor ED Teacher showed my class this video, i love meat, but im gonna have a go

  • And The Difference Is You .

  • Great video.

  • Excellent short appeal. There are SO many reasons for living without animal flesh in your mouth and their bones in your kitchen garbage.

  • You can do it meat lovers. One day a week !!

  • yeah , but Burgers taste Good !

  • @JulieGanee

    Taste does not justify suicide.

  • I allways eet vegan! And I don't see why so many people refuce to eat vegan just one day a week, it's not such a big deal. Just eat a nice veggie burger once a week and you'll be saving maney lives and...the earth!

  • This is just how it is. This is the truth. if we just have one day whitout meat.. thatwould make such a difference! I'm doing it .. Now the rest of the world, Great job!

  • Really, why would you feed your cows soya? Rumanants have the ability to consume grass due to the micro flora in their rumens. How else can you utilize foostuff that can not be digested by monogastric animals (like humans). Maybe there should more be made by the carbon destruction by fires on a continent like Africa.

  • @vanderwesthuizens Because it's the cheapest way to feed the cows. There isn't enough pasture to grass feed all the animals because we've bred them to insane numbers to keep up with demand for meat.

  • @vanderwesthuizens Because we consume a lot of meat, so there's not enough pasture for that many cows. One way to help and not give up the meat eating it to only eat Grass-fed Cattle :)

  • excellent!

  • 1 cow makes a burger? farm factories for cattle?

I think this 'one day' is a great idea - from a health perspective as well - but when the message feels sensationlised - it becomes diluted.

eg:......The envelope you place your charity donation in was made from Amazon forest trees......

As a meat eater I'd like to try this and encourage others to as well but this video makes me feel as though I've been played.

  • @Mayemerald1 '1 cow makes a burger'? Actually they say every kg feed and 11,000 litres water you get a burger. If cows are factory farmed then why not 'farm factories for cattle', search 'cattle factory'. Yes, great idea. Unfortunately we've forgotten that meat used to be a luxury!

  • @Mayemerald1 I am not saying that any of your points are wrong. They all are right =) It's just that things like paper production and the other billions of destructive things that man is doing, will all take a lot of time to stop. But, by taking care of one problem at a time, at least in some way, as an individual we take some responsibility for the environment we live in. And whatever is said in this video about the amount of food and water used to feed these animals is alarmingly true.

  • meat free monday it`s a fun day ! ! !

  • Far from all cows are fed on soy. I can't help that Americas food production is totally messed up. But that doesn't apply in all parts of the world. And besides, the sheep that drop down on the plate are more likely to be fed on grass, which isn't very nutritious for human beings, not even ruminant vegitarians. But animals can convert grass into nutritious meat which is amazing. Please consider this next time you wan't to save the planet with a youtube video.

  • very good video!

  • Well, at least all the lovers and haters are discussing and thinking, right? Research for yourself. There are so many ways we can help ourselves and the planet become healthier. Start with Meatfree Mondays and go from there. Going veg can only help, right? Nicely done video, btw. -- Veggie Val

  • If we made the meat industry more environmentally friendly, then these skewed numbers wouldn't exist.

Everything has a carbon footprint, vegans don't have a less impact on the planet that is truly significant then omnivores, it just depends on your actions, what you eat, and how you got it.

Just like the auto-industry, the answer isn't to stop it is to change the way things are done.

  • @francisviancourt - Sorry, but... EVERY KILOGRAM OF FEED SHE EATS (for example: soy) + 11,000 LITRES WATER produce ONE burger! Not the whole cow...

    Go Veg!

  • @SzpaNye im not so sure i can believe that. and even if ur right, so what. as long as the human race has been around, cows will still reproduce, soy will grow back every year, and water keeps falling from the sky. now will you pardon me as i have a steak cooking on the grill for dinner. wouldn't want to burn it you know, that would truly be a sin

  • @francisviancourt your ignorance is absolutely astounding! Cows are not on farms anymore (they're on factory farms - very different from farms), they don't reproduce naturally anymore, soya doesn't just grow and most importantly YOUR IGNORANCE ABOUT THE GROWING SCARCITY OF FRESH SAFE WATER IS MOST WORRY! But it's the fact that you just don't care and that you just don't want to educate yourself that is so devastating!

  • @corneliabotha Ahahahaha.... u make me laugh. I haven't decided yet if your british or gay, or both. (then again, is there really a difference?) however i say that YOUR ignorance in fact is truly the 'astounding' one. if you ever get the chance to take a 2 hour drive through mid-Ohio you would see all those hamburgers, um i mean cows out in the open. but your right, I don't care. seeing how ever fall i hunt my food..... why would i care wat is going on with some dumb cows.

  • @francisviancourt

You are an imbecile. No, let me rephrase that to something you may understand. You my friend, are a cunt!

  • Data is inconvenient for meat eaters..

the 'data' of how much energy and grain are used by the meat industry..

the 'data' of the waste created..

the 'data' of the land used..

the 'data' of how unhealthy the heaviest meat-eaters are..

Watching them defend it is pathetic.

  • 11000 L per burger? Really?

Most of what a cow, like a human, drinks goes through them. It's called the water cycle. It's natural.

And only a small percentage of cattle come from rain forest countries. Cutting it down is wrong, no doubt. But eat meat, feeling good that much of our cattle is raised on land that can't be farmed. Only ruminant animals can convert the fibre of grasslands into edible nutrients.

Do what you want but decide based on real info not exaggerated out of context "data"

  • One day is not enough but it is a beginning...

Show respect to other people, our planet and all animals!

    Go vegan!

  • ugh !

  • Not just UK - for the animals -leave them alone.

  • Watch Earthlings on Google Video - Go for it! :-)

  • The movie 'Meat the Truth' also covers this, love music by Moby. :-)

  • This is amazing! I love this! So simple yet so misunderstood!

  • So you believe that the vegetables that feed the animals aren't manipulated? Besides, how easy isn't it to choose non-GMO veggies? (Err, and, you know we don't ONLY eat vegetables right?)

  • Hello people!! Must see movie is "Food inc" !!! If you americans haven't seen it, you just have to!! ;) very educating i can say

  • No one is forcing you to do what you don't want to do. All this video does is to demonstrate what positive changes we could make by just applying minor changing to our habits. It's like if a smoker wants to smoke even though they know it causes cancer and death but still chooses to do it, then by all means smoke, he doesn't have to listen to anyone.

  • That's not what this project is about. We don't say that the concept of "transport" should be stopped, this commecial is just talking about the fact that the meatproduction is destroying the world. :)

  • Pkeers, we are not naive just realistic. Where do you live, on the Moon? Can't you see the destruction due to meat eaters? Read, it can improve your life

    Go Vegan!! Great video

  • @loveganboycott most big companies make millions in profit each year. Britain pays millions in interest each year. There are a lot of things that could theoretically make this world a better place. If everyone shared food rather then sell it noone would suffer from hunger. If everyone who makes enough money to support themselves and make a bit extra, which also is going to be millions of people in this world, would give food or money to other people, the world would be a differerent place.

  • @xXXShinXtremXXx I guess what I'm saying is there's no need to deprive your body to make this world a better place in my opinion.

  • This is beautiful! I'm showing it to all my friends. :) great job Animal Aid!

  • Well, how can you argue with that,

    Go veggie NOW

  • Yes meat, milk and leather are all connected and dependent on one another. So the answer is obvious! Give them all up!!!

As for the majority of cows eating grass??? In their dreams maybe! Whoever believes that, owes it to themselves, the environment and to the animals that they eat, to do some research on factory farming!

  • @PKeers Cowmilk is not meant for human consumption. It still requires the same amount of feed, water, etc. Leather is only possible through highly toxic treatment of chemicals. Again, leather doesn't grow without the same amount of feed, water, etc. Plant alternatives are again far more efficient and gentle upon the planet. Actually, if you look at the stats for rainforest clearance, it is for soy beans for animal and cattle feed. This might be inconvenient for you. But do honest research.

  • Milk is murder. Also, just like the meat industry requires us to feed animals that polute the earth, so does the milk industry!
