My first cymbals, besides the cymbals my set came with. Honestly, for the price, they are great. I dont like the 14 inch crash but I plan to upgrade to an A custom 16in crash. Eventually, I will upgrade them all, but for now, they work great. At my school, I brought in my 16in crash and it blended really well with the Zildjian A series cymbals, which is a 16in crash, 20in ride, and 14in new beat hihats.

I have A Customs, K Customs, and Ks and I honestly think these are good beginner cymbals. But when someone says these are better than anything like A Zildjian/K Zildjian/A Custom/K Custom, that's a definite lie.

Would you guys recommend the 13" or 14" inch hi-hats?

zbt are the basic ones... i used them as my very first cymbal kit... and they suck lol

there preattty good if you play rock but i own them and im a jazz player but its still fine

i sampled the zbt ride at sam ash.has and awesome ping on the bell. but too much overtone but with a little moongel theres no problem!

I have the 16 . It's good but long overtone, weird hum sometimes when hit and not so clean. Though I have found an enjoyment wearing ear plugs they sound high class haha. I'm getting. B8s or b8 pros next.

Check out the video on the lathing process b8's go through to get a pro sound at entry price. Look up "sabian b8 gear wire" it's the one that says lathed just like the big boys on it.

I personally prefer the Sabian B8's because they sound way more clean and crisp than these. I was looking at buying ZBT's until I saw the videos on B8's. I was surprised at the sound and come with a warranty so since I can't afford A customs I think B8's are what I'm going for at this point. I've also heard they last longer, and if not I'll have a warranty backing me up.

I must say so far I like the sabian b8's better for a starter cymbal.

Ive had ZBTs for a long time. I really hate them, but the ride is half decent. I hand hammered it when I was bored and got lots more ping and the annoying ring and wash is gone. The crashes are very bad, but not quatity wise. They have the wierdest overtones. Before you buy these, check out Wuhan's Traditional cymbals. They are hand hammered, made of a B20 bronze alloy (while ZBT's are B8), and are a fraction of the price, and I am talking about $45 for a 16 crash! You will be amazed.

i own the zbt 20" ride! really good instrument! absolutely amazing in the studio.. I bought a 20" k custom hybrid ride but i still use the zbt as a secondary ride!

I have these cymbals and i dont like them. You dont have to a pro to know they sound pretty bad. Go with Sabian's if you are starting out.

I hate ZBTs the crashes have a weird ring and after I bought it i played it for 3 min. and the edges dented, I am not buying them again.

I have mine ages and there not dented but theres a crack in the 18 inch crash.

yah thats how i started out...with zbt's lol. my dad bought me a pair of zbt hats, splash, and a ride. the ride was my favorite but now im upgraded. i saved up my money and its worth it playing with top of the line zildjians!

save up for armands...you will be blown away. i started with zbt's though, i just hated the sound of them...they're all tinny you know?

i would like to help but i honestly dont have a clew!!haha.

1 thing i do no is that sabien are slightly stronger cymbals than the zildjian zbt.i have a little crack in my 18'' crash after just under a year!!
