All of this comes to Amazon purchasers eventually. GAME / Gamestop are jerks and can be avoided here. Origin can be avoided if you hate EA's distribution policies. I have Medal of Honor : Limited Edition so I will be no worse off as regards the 48hr beta thing. Indeed, EA invited me to the Alpha, but I couldn't join because I only had a Mac Mini at the time.

Got a 2.5 GHz Quad-Core iMac now, yet still don't feel any rush to install Windows on it for dual-booting purposes. Closed beta 23/9

You see... it can't start next week because the Tokyo Game Show runs from 15-18th. It therefore makes sense to run the Battlefield 3 Open Beta from the 25th September - which gives them a whole month to stress test the servers and netcode until the launch exactly one month later. Those with EA Origin, Medal of Honor : Limited Edition, or Tier 1 will get a 48hr head start.

Hence: Battlefield 3 Closed Beta from the 23rd September.

Sorry, about the wait, but better DICE get the game balanced, eh?

@KiiNgYHD Kind of agree, however you do get the back to karkand maps AND the 4 other ingame items. I guess it depends on if you want to spend the extra £10 or not, if I didn't make videos I'm not sure I would bother but its all a matter of opinion I suppose.
