hi, great video - this is just what i want to create for an upcoming performance! i'm testing out modul8 (before buying full version) but cant find the filter menu... are the filter menu + mapping options not available in the demo version?? i'm want to make sure modul8 does everything before i buy ... any assistance hugely appreciated!

Hi, thanks for your immediate answer, we are working hard with our new mac with modul8 and your tut has encourage us to accept a challenging job involving 3D Mapping. The little big problem here is that we can´t find the pespective transform and also we can´t find the modul "filter layers" containing perspective transform. It's not very possible .Only if you pre-render everything in After Effects ! But you hav to know the dimensions of the 3d object! :-(

Hello - I have been watching your tutorial and I'm bit confused as I am unable to find the drop down menu within the filters box. I have opened up the filers box however, it's competely blank with some buttons that say 'enable' 'all' 'edit' and 'none' however, when I click on those nothing happens...a bit confused would be really greatful for your help!

Now if you could hook up a data box that tells the computer to project where the signal beacon is moving. Imagine a guitarist who's guitar is constantly lit in it's specified shape no matter where it goes. But with this as it is you could make a white drum set look very cool.

First of all thank you! Question: Could you please explain how you can swap clips without losing the perspective distorsion created and 2nd, can one still mix various clips in one of the screens created with perspective distortion. Thanks!

ok, so you set up the distortion in a layer.

you then change clips in that layer by clicking in the media set, so the distortion remains the same. what you can't do with this set up is use the x-fader, unless you first duplicate all the relevant layers and move the copies to the B bus, then you can mix away as usual. OK?
