Even in The Netherlands are GSA's now. But they're not at University, but at the secondary schools! And I am the president of a GSA and I am the president of the Student Council of my school too! So The GSA-concept is all over the world now!

A few years ago, a family (mother, father, two kids) were walking down the beach there and gays started throwing rocks and bottles at them yelling "BREEDERS!". That, my friend, is a hate crime.

I went to Pattonville High School & have many gay friends. Even though I don't personally agree with homosexuals I am not opposed to having a club for them, but just not IN high school. We had a few Lesbians that graduated my year & I always felt bad for them because they were always treated bad. I think any club that accepts kids, especially when they need it, to feel like they belong is a good thing. I just don't agree with it being IN high school. Hello! That's what the drama club is for!
I was in it last year, 07-08, and I hate that I had to move back to Louisiana. I miss you all, and you guys really opened my eyes to the gay community that I wouldn't have necessarily shunned, but would have been ignorant towards.

you want to talk hate crimes? ok, let's talk hate crimes. Where I live, we have a "gay" section of town. Every July 4th they have a fireworks show. A few years ago, a family (mother, father, two kids) were walking down the beach there and gays started throwing rocks and bottles at them yelling "BREEDERS!". That, my friend, is a hate crime.

But you can't blame a whole group of people just because one or two of them are screwballs. that's like me saying that my house had it's windows destroyed by neighborhood boys about 18-19 years old shouting "GO AWAY FAG!", and that I now believe that all straight people are cold and hateful and that I could never support what any of them do. but I don't hate you.

I went to Pattonville High School & have many gay friends. Even though I don't personally agree with homosexuals I am not opposed to having a club for them, but just not IN high school. We had a few Lesbians that graduated my year & I always felt bad for them because they were always treated bad. I think any club that accepts kids, especially when they need it, to feel like they belong is a good thing. I just don't agree with it being IN high school. Hello! That's what the drama club is for!

I was in it last year, 07-08, and I hate that I had to move back to Louisiana. I miss you all, and you guys really opened my eyes to the gay community that I wouldn't have necessarily shunned, but would have been ignorant towards.
You guys have something amazing there that sadly, in the bible belt where I am stuck, is harder to create and maintain. KEEP IT UP!!!

This is so inspirational! I've just joined the GSA at my school. At first I was scared because I knew people would judge me, but now I feel much more comfortable with my decision to join and I'm glad I did it.

This was really touching. I had no idea there was activity like that in the States. Too bad we don't have anything like that in Finland. I mean we don't have clubs and what not here. We just study in school and then go home. It would have been nice to know should I have hided or not in my school. My girlfriend was form another school touh, so it didn't matter as much.
