oh my god..this brings me back to when i was like...4-5 years old..had Ys series on my Turbo grafix 16 with the cd attachment..fucking blew my mind back then..i'm tempted to get this for the PSP now that i can play it when i can actually read and understand what's going on....oh man...nostalgia...

ys 1 is just a standard game,....but ys 2 is the most OMGWTF moment i've played on psp so far,....it play like bullet hell shooter,which i love,.....

Man Ys seven was the bomb, first psp game to actually get me to play it nonstop. But this doesn't seem like it has the same gameplay as Ys seven so i'm not sure if i should get it.

There is a big reason, Ys Books 1 and 2 for the DS were complete shit compared to the version i played way back on the Turbo Duo(tho i still have it today :)) To this day it remains my favorite of the entire Ys series. I have Ys 1, 2 and 3 for the turbo duo and these games are by far story wise beyond what the legend of zelda has ever been. If this is anything like the Ys 1 and 2 Complete for the pc(which the vids are showing it is) I highly recommend giving this a go. Cheers!

I have it on pre-order. Due out Feb 15th for the US. I think they planned that. Get that pesky Valentines day out of the way so you can have some uninterrupted Ys time.

I'd suggest going all out on the 14th, since if you're a REAL fan, you won't see her for a good two weeks.

Played Ys Books 1&2 on my Turbografx CD player in 1991. Then played Ys 3 Wanderers from Ys on it in 1994. Then played Ys 4 Dawn of Ys on my Turbo Duo in 1996. Played Ys 6 Ark of Napishtim on my PS2 recently and I can hardly wait for Ys Chronicles 1&2 so it seems its come full circle. All we need now is Ys 4 Masks of the Sun on the PSP and itll be complete. Ys 4 Dawn of Ys would be awesome to but unfortunately its not canon but a PSP disc could hold both of them easily.

@Iseeme63 Can't even FIND a copy of Book I&II for the Duo. As good and awesome as this will be, I've always wanted to play what is, arguably, the definitive version of the first two games.

Still, I thank XSEED games for doing all this. Between this; Seven; Oath in Felgahana; and Ark of Napishtim, I feel like I actually have a collection of Ys games! Now, if they'd just bring out a release of IV (the cannon Mask of the Sun) and V, so we can finally have all the Ys games in English...

You know, I think it was about the time that I owned a Turbo Graphic 16 and Genesis systems. I can remember seeing the marketing for Ys in EGM, but even though I was interested, I never got the chance to experience the world. I feel that the latest PSP games are a good move and now The OATH in Felghana has gone GOLD! Ys SEVEN was my first Ys experience and I must say that I am hooked. This old style action RPG adventures are really fun and provide a nice break from next Generation gamming!

@khfan49 That's awasome! With all of the great titles out right know, I bought the LE of The Oath in Felghana, but I haven't had a chance to play it yet. I recently bought Castlevania Lords of Shadow LE, Enslaved, Fallout New Vegas LE, Vanquish, Y's SEVEN LE and Ys T.O.I.Felghana LE. Not to mention that Assassins Creed Brotherhood comes out on Tuesday. I'm excited to play T.O.I.Felghana though and I also plan on buying the LE for Ys I & II cronicles. Damn, it's a good time to be a gamer!

@punkztar16 if you are interested, i know there is a mini anime about the first 2 tomes of Ys, i only know them in french but u gotta be able to find them somewhere in english. And Ys 1&2 ORIGINAL version are available on wii virtual console for 800 wii points (turbografx16)...if you dont want to wait. The music is still awesome

@stfb1055 I dont know why the complain of people about non jumping on ys 7, I dont seem to need to jump, really loved this game lot of action and fast, and good level of skill. good story reminded me like a zselda with a legend of mana or something, the temples of fire water earth etc reminded me to a zelda game.

@alanvamp If anyone should complain about something is Adol's lack of personality. Ive only recently started the psp ys seven so I don't now about the rest but at some point the quite thing just pissed me off. His group had all the emotions. Don't know if adding some lines for him and emotions would be good but it pissed me off quite a bit to see everyone reacting to the situations except him. Its him i want screaming and getting pissed off, not the group. I still love the game though lol.

Ah...the first RPG to ever win a perfect 10 on one of the most respected video game magazines at the time, EGM. When I first fired up this game, I was disappointed at how Adol attacked...but since I shelled out cash for one of the few games the TG-CD had, i bit the bullet and played it through. My gosh, it was the best video game experience of my childhood; rivaled only by Final Fantasy 3 (US Version). Can't wait to relive this next year.

@alanvamp - It's import-only...for now. Xseed announced awhile back that they are bringing over both Ys I & II AND Ys Oath in Felghana. Ys:OiF will be released first around Nov. and this game, Ys I & II, will be released early next year...

it was on the PS2 it just never made it over seas sadly. his version a bit Different though it featuring the 3D & 2D graphics blended togeather like in the DS release but features CD sound, better resoluiton, and better special effects
