  • What type of connectors are you using to plug into the pins on the relay? I'm going to do this bypass and I need to know what the connectors are called when I go to the store.

  • Any part numbers for the relay??? Plz lemme kno!!!

  • @JxOxExYxC its just a 5 pin relay... they are all the same.

  • will this work for a clarion nx501

  • How many amps does this relay have?

  • @louie000007 you would only need 10

  • will this work for a jensen vm9424BT unit

  • will this work for a jensen vm9424BT unit

  • but what if im using my blue remote wire to go to my rear amplifiers can i still splice in a wire to do that?

  • @Beautifulchaosx0 of course.

  • worked on jvc kd-avx77, for anyone like me that has not done this before, you have to splice into the ground wire(black) because it has to be attached between the car's harness and the decks harness.

  • all good except you have 86 & 30 named backwards on your video

  • @niceconcepts, good stuff it worked!

  • @H22TRUCK Of course :-)

  • hey i want to know it work with an eclipse avn 6620 thanks

  • @d15villeda certainly does mate

  • @chogg123 thanks man it was really helpful

  • Hey DUDE !!!!thanks so much for putting this up...it was so easy to do and solved my issues.......learned something today....by the way my radio is a avh-p3200bt

  • @MrGregsr37 no worries

  • Hey DUDE !!!!thanks so much for putting this up...it was so easy to do and solved my issues.......learned something today....

  • Круто чувак расказал

  • Hay bud, well I hooked up the relay and some times it over rides it and some times it don't. So how would I hook a switch to the relay?

  • @Homaho97 it has to work always... it cant just work sometimes.... You are prolly turning the car on to fast or something like that. Put it to accessories, let it all start, then it will click the relay just after the headunit is on.

    unless your relay is faulty....

A switch can be put in somewhere between the remote connection.

  • I just put a avh 3300bt into my car and couldn`t get a picture...i cut the green handbrake wire and grounded it to the unit and bingo job done,,,slipped it along the top of the unit and screwed it to one of the 8 screws that hold the unit in the dash...

  • @Homaho97 wire the switch in between the remote wire (blue) if you wish to have control over the relay.

  • i have the pioneer 3200. i watched your videoand see that you are using a 5 pin relay. is it possible for me to use a 4 in relay instead. considering that you only need 4 pins on the 5 pin relay. if so how would i go about wiring in the 4 pin relay. its a 4 pin 12v 30 amp relay. Will this work?

  • Hay bud, I bought a clarion vz401 and im seeing videos of people wireing up a switch to it because i guess you have to sometimes flip the switch acouple times to get the video to display. Also one guy said something about puting a relay in line with the switch. So my questions are, one, do i still need to have a switch if i run a relay? two if so how do you reccomend wiring the switch with the relay? please let me know thanks

  • @Homaho97 na man, the point of the relay is so you dont need a switch bro....

    easy peasy.

  • thank you so much for putting this up... perfect instructions and everything, worked perfectly with my PIONEER AVH-P3300BT

  • @dablow5454 Not a drama.....

  • where can i get one of them relay thing? can u give me a link please if u dont mind

  • @mu5t11 its just a bosch 5 pin relay.... any electrical store in the world will have them

  • thanks alot bro. ill have to replace my toggle switch with a relay

  • @wdissident No worries bud. Definatley alot neater and smoother install.

  • what if i have a amplifier conected to my remote wire? how do i attach the relay to it?

  • @wdissident simple, Just join the wire coming out of your relay power slot (85) to the wire you have now powering your amp. It will just draw its current from that. It wont effect anything else you have installed.

Just tap into it and solder it up. Very easy.

That blue wire (remote wire) simply provides a 12V source after the headdeck has power. It can be used for anything for example, To turn on your power antenna after the car has ign or for an amp (as in your case)

  • if the blue one is remote and the top is parking brake.where does the 86 wire go?

  • @wdissident @1:15 it says.

86 and 87 needs to be grounded.

  • any questions?

  • @chogg123 can this be done with a four pin relay instead of 5 pin ?

  • @arrymanbboy Yep. just make sure you connect it to the same pin numbers....

I only had a 5 pin laying around so it should work fine mate.

let me know how you go.
