  • @paden981 I asked what kind of works I am Required to DO. Explain this verse;Romans 4:5 (CEV) But you cannot make God accept you because of something you do (baptism). God accepts sinners only because they have faith in him.and Eph 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. What is the definition of a Gift?

  • @JSTEVEWALTER I would say that the definition of a Gift is something that is freely given. But I would argue that gifts while given must also be accepted. I believe salvation is made free to all men everywhere. Doesnt mean everyone is forced to accept it. Also please read col. 2:12. Baptism isnt a work that we do...Baptism is God's work on us. I dont take away my own sins...He does. But it doesnt happen until baptism...

  • @paden981 Just what kind of Works do I Personally Have to DO and what is the Minimum Requirement of such Works that is Required of ME before I Receive Salvation??

  • @JSTEVEWALTER First you have to hear the Gospel, then you from hearing you can have faith which leads to your belief in God followed by repentance of your sins followed by your confession of your belief in Christ as the Son of God. FInally you are required to be baptized so that you may come into contact with the cleansing blood of Christ and recieve remission for your sins and be added to His body.

  • Hebrews 11 is about Faith. Eph, 2 :8.9 is about Salvation. This was Not listed when you said that they got together. I Corth. 14:26 What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up. Someone had a hymn and some joined in in Spirit and Truth.

  • @JSTEVEWALTER Can a man be saved without faith? So why would you make such a seperation between hebrews and ephesians? You think that a man is saved without any works? How ignorant is that view. I have yet to meet a person who will have such a view and then go on to say that belief is not required. I assume you believe that one has to believe in Christ to be saved? Is belief not a work? John 6:28-29? You are doing it right? Jesus is not believing for you is He?

  • Jesus wants people committed to following his way. There is a cost to following Jesus, and eveyone must count that cost before being baptized. The cost is that it will cost every individual their life. They must die to their old selves and desires of the flesh and be reborn as a spiritual follower of Jesus. The people who do this are his church, everyone else has taken the broad road that will lead to destruction and judgement. Jesus paid the price to save you from your sins. Will you accept it?

  • I grew up in this Religion type church. Last time I visited it was the same old same old my way or the hades way. Do Not Judge people on the way they Worship God. Eph. 2:8.9 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. God said this and HE means This.

  • @JSTEVEWALTER The same book also asks Christians to worship God in spirit and in truth. Does this mean we can do whatever we want and it still be pleasing God? Also read hebrews ch 11 and tell me that the people listed there did not have faith with works?

  • Great Job!!! ☺ ♥ ☺
