I absolutely love this movie. I see new things every time I watch it. The subtle changes in the character as he turns native, like not shaving, losing the tie, forgetting his watch on the beach to eventually ditching his suit completely and joining in at the ceilidh.

'. . . we have an injured rabbit also.' I wonder if that's a reference to Arto Paasilinna's 'The Year of the Hare'. It must be because that book and this film are so similar.
