  • It definitely sounds like that particular horn responds very well...

  • The mahler wasn't fat enough lol.

  • it's not even funny how easy he makes Tomasi look...

  • @TheElliotGreen

    It isn't THAT hard..

  • lol at the end "that sound alright?" haha no joe that was terrible!

  • Ah, and ending with the Tomasi Concerto. Mmmm.

  • I LOVE JOE ALESSI

  • Tomasi near the end -3

  • "does that sounds alright..?" "Oh yeah, its really nice." haha

  • what's name of the first piece Alessi played?

  • @ibtrill It's a bordogni etude. He is able to take it up an octave at the end, flawlessly.

  • @malestrom92 Indeed. I've been working on that piece for fun for a little while, and he just blew it out of the water. amazing.

  • Yay Mahler 3.

  • I HAVE A GRIEGO MOUTHPIECE and I LOVE IT. Gah, I'm such a screaming fan girl for both of these men. <3

  • Will we see this manifest into a bass trombone ever?

  • this video is worth watching just for Mr. Alessi's playing in the beginning

  • @tromboneandy i've done that so many times lol.

  • I've messed with the horn first-hand at the Edwards shop, and I must say it is probably the best trombone I have ever picked up and played, including other very nice brands, like shires and Holton. I'm only 17 now, but I definitely want to get one, it's pretty pricey though. From what I know, you won't get away without paying at least $4000.

  • wow... speechless... actually, no I am not. I LOVE IT!!!

  • yeaaaaaaaaaa this is GREAT....very nice Joe...greetings from PERÚ..

  • Maestro Joe Alessi.....una leyenda viviente del trombón....saludos desde PERÚ.

  • Joe is one of the few classical trombonists who can get away with slide vibrato every once in a while and still sound really good. Still loving his inspirational sound. =)

  • @Kevinescence640 That's only because nobody seems to know what to do with it anymore! Not sure what's so scary about it... Slide vibrato is one of the most unique expressive tools we have at our disposal on the instrument! It's gorgeous!
