  • In the distant future, our grandkids will look back on the same sex battles, the way we look at interracial battles, and ask,"What were we really thinking?"

    What do we tell them?

  • In the distant

  • As a Quaker I am more than happy with Maggie Gallagher condemning herself to her own hell as that is where she wants others to go for being themselves.

  • Best video ever!

  • Super awesome!

  • No offense, but it's insulting to Christians to just assume we're all like Maggie Gallagher. There's PLENTY of examples of normal man and woman marriages in the Bible. You just pulled out sensational examples to make your own point against a straw woman.

  • @ngrey651: I think you've missed the point. The video doesn't assume all Christians are like Maggie Gallagher -- in fact, the point is that Maggie Gallagher does NOT represent Christian virtue.

  • @ngrey651 Christians started the whole slavery thing, as well as not letting women talk in church, and now they twist the bible to justify their right to condemn us gays, they have done this crap for years and years. Christianity is a horrible cult and it needs to be stopped. Jesus would never say or do any of the things that modern day fundamentalist christians pigs are doing.

  • @smurfboywv It was also Christians like the Quakers who were the first to OPPOSE it. Also, Christians DIDN'T start the whole "Slavery" thing. There were slaves in Greek times, BEFORE their was Christianity, and the USA's slavery was around before religion entered the picture. Also, a great deal of what Christian's believe comes from Jewish culture and laws, are you going to insult the Jews for their "old-fashioned" beliefs? And you don't need to be religious to bash gays, just dumb.

  • @smurfboywv Dude, as a queer Wiccan, I feel obliged to correct you. Slavery has existed in damn near every human society in history. Christians did not start it. Also, most Christians aren't nearly as nasty as the disgusting bigots you hear about in the Republican Party.

  • @ngrey651 Ummm - Saint Peter is a Christian.

  • This is hilarious.

  • The Maggie avatar is much too good-looking, to say nothing of being too skinny.

    roflol ><

  • This woman will go to hell were she belongs.

  • LOL.....wouldn't it be great to live in a society where it would be legal to kidnap Maggie Gallagher and put her in a room showing her this video over and over for days at a time. Along with Brokeback Mountain, Torch Song Trillogy, His Secret Life, etc.

  • @SethKlan Nah. I would just tie her to a chair and make her listen to the Pet Shop Boys for three days straight. If "Domino Dancing" doesn't make her gay I don't know what the fuck will.

As for your movie screening list, you can do better than that. Where's "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert", "Rocky Horror Picture Show" "The Birdcage" and "Hedwig & The Angry Inch"? :-p

  • very excellent!

  • well done....poor maggie can't see she is a Pharisee and not a christian

  • What program did you use to make this? I love it!

  • Maggie is such a fat, hateful, piece of crap!

    ♥ this video!

  • I could not possibly "like" this enough times, even if I had 10,000+ YouTube accounts. AWESOME!!!

  • I LOVE THIS.

  • should have made her 2000lbs larger to make it more realistic.

  • Yup, when you strip away the florid language she uses you know she just hates gay people.

  • People mind your own damn bussiness and pay attention to your own life and problems and stop pushing your religious beleifs onto others. If you really are a follower of the word of Jesus you will stop judging and stop making other people suffer because you are uncomfortable with their love. If you want to follow the writings of those who wrote against gay actions then you will stop eating shellfish, stop cutting your hair, and stop wearing clothes made out of two or more diferent materials.

  • Can you imagine spending your life promoting bigotry? What a sad life. I live in the South--there are plenty of people here who held or still hold racist views. They tried to stop equality but ultimately failed and in the process wasted a lot of energy and time. The real ethical insight of the 20th century was that no one group can dominate another--no one group has a God-given right to abuse another. Gallagher misses this point and like so many religious people lacks any moral authority.

  • @conor143 this video uses st. Peter (from the Bible) to give reason for the argument that gay marriage is fine, sooo if you are going to bring the Bible into the argument (IN THE VIDEO) you might as well answer with Biblical answers

  • @Eighty8bwKeys why dont u christians have a sense of humour?

  • What St.Peter DIDN'T ask Maggie was if she got knocked up at 22 and was unmarried and then later married a man of the Hindu faith..

St Peter tell Maggie what the bible says about having children out of wedlock and what it says about marrying others of different faiths,

  • *doesn't

  • The person who made this video took all of the points that are convenient for them to slap those who are against gay marriage in the face and don't really look into what they really believe. OF COURSE we care about the children in orphanages. Also, the Bible speaks AGAINST gay marriage multiple times. I'll even give references:

    -1 Corinthians 6:9; 10

    -Leviticus 18:22

    -Leviticus 20:13

-Deuteronomy 23:17***[sodomy is a synonym for homosexuality in the Bible]

So in reality (which is most certainl

  • @Eighty8bwKeys How is the Bible in any way relevant to a discussion on civil marriage?

  • Comment removed

  • @Eighty8

Sodomy is NOT a synonym for homosexuality! Through the ages, churches and mankind developed and marketed that correlation based on their own "icky" views of same-sex relations. They had no understanding, at that time, of a homosexual orientation, let alone situations of same sex attraction, love and commitment. Sodomy clearly was referring to the heinous act of rape, and most specifically violent male rape with the sole intent to terrorize, humiliate or emasculate. God hates rape!

  • @Eighty8bwKeys

Why is it that christians are the least educated about the bible? I suggest there is a strong correlation between learning disabilities and christianity.

  • Lmao...oh how sad but true how ignorant some people are. Very creative way to show how someone who thinks they help people just create more problems for everyone else!

  • This makes a really good point... How "traditional" is traditional marriage really?

Women didn't even get the right to vote until 1920. The supreme court didn't legalize interracial marriage until 1967. The bible isn't a good reference either, because people in the bible have multiple wives, marry their sisters, and have prostitutes.

The definition of marriage wasn't even just the general "One man and one woman" until 1967 (It was, "One man and one woman of the same race" before that)

  • I have never, NEVER found "nom" or her funny until now. I *NEVER* find this stuff this funny and I was laughing until it hurt. This was incredible.

I know the woman knows she's hateful. I know they know they're all hateful. I know that "nom" knows it's full of shit. We all know they know it. There's NO WAY they don't know it. They are targeting ONE GROUP and no one else. They care about nothing else but targeting ONE group.

    But this? This was hilarious.

  • Maggie you're a hateful bitch and your group NOM has been classified as an anti gay hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Now go eat 3 pizzas and 10 brownies you fat fuck!

  • I'm well aware of what the Bible says, but I'm also aware that the Council of Nicea and other scholars/politicians/ideologues have incorporated their own ideas, so religions are hardly ONLY guided by the Bible.

  • But doesn't the same also apply to philosophies? What people posit in books like "The Leviathan" or "Das Kapital" will in time find others incorporating their own ideas into such philosophies. Religions aren't the only things in the world guided only by what's written in the "textbook of rules" they come with. Hell, the WORKPLACE isn't only about what's written in the rules, but ultimately what's in said book is where everyone eventually turns to to settle squabbles. @Timmybear

  • @ngrey651 - true.

  • Mother Teresa did almost as much harm as good, so she's a bad example to cite. And part of the flaw of your argument is that it presumes that it was BECAUSE of their religiosity that they did good works. And it should be added that Martin Luther King threw one of his reps to the wolves because he was gay, so he wasn't fighting so tirelessly for HIS rights. To assume that they did good BECAUSE of their religion is like assuming I can do no good because I don't have one.

  • True, but it's wrong to assume that religion in itself is the problem. Or that a religion (in the single sense like Christianity) is the problem. Religions are tools. They're meant to be used to make you into a better person, just as other things like self-help books or community service or charity work building a house are tools to make you into a better person while helping others. If it doesn't do that when so many others have succeeded, the problem's not the religion, but you. @Timmybear

  • Hilarious!

  • There must be a lot of money in the "hate-gay-for-pay" industry for Ms. Gallagher to be willing to hurt gay couples and their children, with much public ridicule for doing so, for a fat paycheck. I wonder if St. Peter really will inquire as to how she spent her time on earth, and what she'll say???

  • Execute Maggie Gallagher!

  • Being religion, is such a fairy tale, why would anybody listen to anything they have to say?

  • What gives with the whack-ass computer voice? Otherwise, slam dunk.

  • There are many Christians out there who sacrifice their time and resources to take in orphans, feed the poor, & give hope to those in prison. More often than not they are loving, compassionate people who care very much about God's created beings.

As Jesus said Himself "love the sinner, but not the sin" and YES we sin for we were born sinners. Our goal is to become more like Christ Himself.

  • @M94ATT - please do not presume to place your first person plural pronoun on me. I don't believe in sin, and I also don't believe in becoming either a man who died 2000 years ago or a fictional overlay of divinity on same. And while much of the above is true, if not all, it's certainly not the exclusive property of Christians. I've participated in feeding the poor and working as a prison volunteer, and I'm a godless socialist. :)

  • Well good for you, but are you aware that Religion has given us people like Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King, Gandhi and others who fought tirelessly for the sake of others, for ideals like compassion, justice and love? How about showing some gratitude for religion considering all of the good it's brought us? Religion is a tool, it can be used for good purposes or evil ones, but you shouldn't simply dismiss it's worth out of hand simply because you don't believe in it. @Timmybear

  • That's pretty childish.

Why dispute what God himself says about marriage in Genesis 1:18,20-25

The Lord God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him." But for Adam no suitable helper was found. So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

  • @M94ATT Religion is childish bullshit.

  • @mspookie I agree, as far as I'm concerned religion is for people who are afraid to think for themselves, sad isn't it?

  • You know, Nazi Germany and Stalin's Russia banned religion and they were filled with people who didn't think for themselves and do what would have been "Christian", aka "loving their neighbors as themselves". Allowing for Religious tolerance is an important American ideal and it's ignorant to say that religion is just for people who cannot think for themselves. @Poochalot

  • @ngrey651 - even though part of the reason the Pilgrims came to the New World was because they were annoyed that the King wouldn't allow them to oppress other religions? It's a bitter irony indeed - and it should be added that part of the reason that Stalin's Russia went bad was because of the actions of the frequently Christian Whites and their American/Canadian/British backers who spread lies and fought against any recognition of the new state.

  • Are you forgetting that the Quaker movement was a religious movement that was against slavery, for religious tolerance AND pacifistic? And they were around in the early days of the colonies as well. And Stalin's Russia went bad because Stalin was the sort of person who would kill the first person to stop clapping whenever he entered the room. Trying to say it was solely the fault of Christians isn't true. They played only a small part, if any. Any good historian would tell you so. @Timmybear

  • @ngrey651 - oh, I have few objections to the Quakers. They actually published a volume of gay male love poems in the early 70s, in fact. And they make very good Oatmeal too. :) (But, again, it's their actions, not their religious background, which impresses me)

  • Well, any religion that's worth it's salt, as I said, should help you become a better person by encouraging you to do good actions. After all, Christianity insisted for years that the way to Heaven was through charity, faith and good works. @Timmybear

  • @ngrey651 - I have no religion, have never had anyone in my family encourage good actions, but do them anyway. Actually, a lot of branches of Christianity say that good works are irrelevant to getting to Heaven, from what I understand from the myths I've heard.

  • Luther stated that faith alone was necessary to get into Heaven, but it's written right in the Bible that God judges us by our good deeds as well. Did you clothe the poor? Feed the Hungry? All found in Revelations. But religion or not, doing good because it's the right thing to do should be reason enough for altruism. @Timmybear

  • @M94ATT - And your proof that God said this, rather than several different authors? The Bible is clearly the work of various humans, who did not even have access to other writers' works. It seems to me that God would have been a better editor, with perfect memory.

  • One word "Perfect", if only people realized what harm they were doing and what things that actually aren't doing that they should be doing.

  • This hits the nail on the head. Some religious whacko trying to impose her twisted views on all the people! This is so factual! Thanks for posting!

  • RELIGION is the cause of MOST intolerance.

  • I suppose there must be some nice, sane, sensible Christians but, as a group, they're just so deeply irritating. And I am deeply sick and tired of them.

  • EPIC!!

  • At least with this video you get to debate this two-sided issue. Not so at the Catholic News Agency, (CNA), where the Maggie G. video is. Doesn't that make you wonder..... is CNA afraid of fair debate or the truth?

  • @WaderII That's a rhetorical question, yes?

  • @mirakulboy Yes a rhetorical question based on fact. Thanks for the response back!

  • A great BIG "amen" from a priest in Pasadena!

    The Reverend Susan Russell

    All Saints Church, Pasadena

  • Oh man...haven't laughed this hard in awhile. The sad part, is that this video is so true. It's amazing how some human beings can be so concerned with other people's relationships instead of worrying about their own.

  • "...but when did we see you sick, or in prison, or naked, or hungry?" "And Jesus will answer them and say "Since you didn't see fit to listen to me and do for the least of these, our kindred, you didn't do it for me. Now get out of my sight! You sicken me, and I never want to see you again!"

  • I love it!

  • Absolutely brilliant..well done fella, excellent work.

  • Hysterical, I have not laughed so much in years!

  • Hilarious! Wonderful!

  • I can't help but notice (with no small amount of glee, I might add) that none of the self-proclaimed "protectors of marriage" (read: hyper-religious right-wing loonies) have posted to comment on this superb video yet.

Seems like the compelling arguments shut them right up. Good job, Rob. Keep up with the good work, I'd love to see more from you :)

    FMC

  • you forgot to mention in the video the child she had out of wedlock, and her divorce... Thats her marriage. spread her legs wide, and get divorced. yes, she totally saved marriage.

  • Where's the part where St. Peter dope-slaps her? (If not that, then maybe some CPR on her brain?)

  • Absolutely OUTSTANDING - The inane and illogical logic of the bible thumpers is amazing and this demonstrates it soooo well!

  • The dialogue, as written, is excellent. But what's up with the computer-generated voices? The message would be much more effective with real people reading the dialogue and using basic human inflection. As it stands now, the voices are far too distracting.

  • I laughed whenever St. Peter said, "I'm confused."

    Brilliant video. Very well done.

  • That Maggie avatar is way too skinny.

  • Comment removed

  • @johnandrewwalsh Death is slimming.

  • @myhairyscapegoat People with fetishes eat poop and more straight people have HIV than gay people. Educate yourself.

  • @myhairyscapegoat

You certainly have a curious obsession with homosexuality. If you come out of the closet soon, you may be able to avoid further emotional damage. Going to school could help, too. Good luck.

  • Excellent!

  • If they want to "protect traditional marriage", they should ban easy divorce except in casae of violence, and make marriage harder to get into (some kind of test to prove that you REALLY want to get married).

Same-sex marriage isn't a threat (in fact it helps marriage by lowering divorce figures). A much bigger threat by far is the huge divorce rate; over 50% of married people won't be married in a year.

    More marriage = protected marriage.

  • Computer generated voice is a little off. But good message.

  • so great !!!! very nice to use it to fight against homophobia ! we will use it in my educational international network school beyond the walls ! Do you think i can give a french translation for the non-english locutors of our network ? Greetings from France !

  • what do you support madinform bra?

  • Take a look at this video of what happens when Religious Right leader Maggie Gallager meets St. Peter at the gates of heaven.

  • Everyone on facebook... WATCH THIS VIDEO. It's 2 mins 30 seconds long. See if you can last that long and not fall over.

  • Nice one, Rob! Right on point!

  • Brilliant.

  • I rate this 50 Stars, for being truly American!

  • This great with one exception... don't they have an uglier character for the part of Maggie?

  • I REALLY REEEEEEEALLLYYY hope that this is how it will be if there is the actual heaven thing. Fuck this Fat Ballooned Toad looking bimbo and her traditional marraige.

  • Love the video.. really tired of the Microsoft SAM voice that doesn't talk right. Ok site I guess for making quick vids, but the rise of these robo voices is really lacking in the acting dept.

Oh yeah, NOM will get their due. Karma's a bitch baby.

  • No no no....no real human voices! One thing that makes it funny is the automated "by rote" vocals.

  • So Maggie Gallagher is going to HELL?

    NOT MY PROBLEM!

  • "Anti-religious" with a hard "g" LOL.

Gallagher is much better looking this way. ;)

  • @BonnieHalfElven - That's why I often ended up typing odd spellings of words in to get the words pronounced correctly. :)

  • Would be better with human voices...

  • BRILLIANT!

  • @dnitzer01, you're awesome! LOL!

  • @jlv37

Well, I am glad you got the joke! :-)

  • That is hilarious and brilliant.

  • It is obvious from his biased, leading questions that St Peter is another one of those liberal, activist Saints with San Francisco values.

  • @dnitzer01 Biased, leading questions? More like legitimate questions to which NOM has yet to offer a valid answer.

  • @dnitzer01 some people never get it....

  • @dnitzer01 This info is in written form, in the BIBLE, a book that is circulated and supposedly read in more places than SF, and by liberals as well as conservatives. Read it, don't take my word for it.

  • I love this...and I love the automated voices! (i.e., "NOT MY PROBLEM...NOT MY PROBLEM...NOT MY PROPLEM" played as an unrelenting loop.)

In real life, these people are little more than robots, anyway.

  • Wonderful!!!

  • LMFAO!

  • f'ing AWESOME

  • Oh Rob, you religious bigot you.

  • I'd suggest getting real people to read the voices for this. Otherwise, it's great!

  • Why isn't Maggie depicted as the huge loathsome cow she really is?

  • This is fantastic. May I have the script? Also, sorry to say, you have a typo near the end (2:15-16): The word 'religious' is misspelled (and therefore mispronounced) as 'religous' (without the 'i'). Thank you for this simple, to-the-point, clear presentation. I'm completely charmed.

  • Very funny take on Maggie Gallagher's illogical and hypocritical stance on "protecting" marriage. Well done.

  • very good

  • Great job, Rob; a delightful and incisive piece.

  • That is a masterpiece.

    Will be sharing it everywhere.

  • 5 stars

  • It's cute but your original video format is way better.

  • Rob, you're an absolute genius. I loved the video.

  • Oh what an awesome video!! LOVE it! Thank you so much for posting!

  • That was good! Thanks for the video..

  • i have to say this is really good and points out how stupid her reasoning is.

  • @firstclassreno : This video point out the swiss cheese logic of the christian right. Ms. Srivastav has a degree in religious studies. Not law, not psychiatry, not anything close to any real credentials on civil rights. Her argument is purely religious based, nullifying its application to civil law. Science has moved on, but the Catholics have not.

  • Great video

  • Shows just how hilarious and ridiculous their arguments really are. Poor St. Peter.

  • This owns, even with the speech synth.

LOVED St. Peter's /facepalm at the end :)

  • great video. NOM's position is such a mindfuck

  • Awesome, that was hilarious!

  • well done :O)

  • Maggie isn't remotely that attractive. Even in crappy 3D. Increase her width by about 50-fold and then make her look like a toad.

  • the computerized speech is highly annoying. Can it be overdubbed with real humans speaking? The script is fine, just the voices are not good.

  • @DackJarvis It's imitating the videos Maggie Gallagher's organization makes. They were the ones making these 3D, cartoony voice-synth things.

  • @YamiAura --- ahhh... then it makes sense that way. I've only seen her on TV interviews. thanks for clarifying/explaining what it was done this way.

  • LMAOAOAO
