  • Today one baby lobster showed up at my yard!

It scared the crap out of my wife lol

I am keeping it in a small tank, but I don't know what to do with it.

  • Wow, you must be one of the lucky family that even a baby lobster (BL) would like to be a member of your family.

Okay, I don't know if your BL is a fresh or sea water ones. Anyway, you'll need a tank, water, a simple and cheap water filter with air bubbling, and some sinkable fish food or red blood worm if avaliable.

You can go to your nearest Live Fish Store to ask for more information. Have fun. :@)

  • Thank you! We have decided to keep it, thanks for the information again.

  • You're welcome and maybe, you can make a short video of your BL so everyone can get to see it and share your joy. :@)

  • those are crayfish

  • there so cute have they ever hurt yuu before?

  • I did not put my hands in and I'm also a little afraid of them more than they're firghten of me. LOL... :@)

  • were can u get a peet lobster?

there my second favorite animal besides geoducks

  • Sorry, I don't know what a peet lobster is. I think I cannot answer your question. :@)

  • rofl i think he meant PET lobster >XD

  • Thank you. Okay, I bought my baby lobster at a fish pet store.

  • these real lobbies or crayfish

btw, did u put them in a heated tank? because orange is not a natural color for these

  • Sorry for my late reply. Orange is their natural color for this species. Others are blue, black, brown and white. :@)

  • 21 March 2008. A very big Thank You to all who have came to see my baby lobsters. Now, the only one left has kicked the bucket too. :@(

Good bye, my baby lobsters. :@(

  • 12 March 2008. One of my baby lobster passed away. So sad... and that's the pain of having pets when they die but not forgetting the joy they bring while they were still alive... :@(

So, treasure what you have and while you're having it. :@)

  • sea creatures? i thought they live in freshwater? haha anyway nice lobster you have there

  • Oh cool! Guess what? I have two of those myself lol. Except I have an Electric Blue one and then a larger green one that has blue claws and legs, the guy at the store didn't really know the species of it so I'm still trying to figure that one out...

  • I like pets where I've to keep my hands out of it. I'm weird. LOL... Oink :@)

  • Haha xD

  • Hey this is a nice video, and your lobsters look really great, nice colours too;) I'm suggesting you add some rocks, gravel as a substrate and some water plants/sea weed so they can feel more at home and have places to hide. Also live plants would be a good addition too as they would eat some types. Happy lobster keeping!;) I'm thinkin of getting a a few too, or maybe some crabs! hehe

  • Hey, thanks for your good suggestions, I'll consider getting some rocks for them to feel more at home. I've tried some plants but it was difficult to keep the plants alive as there was no sunlight directed at the tank. The Orange lobsters live longer than those which are blue or dark grey in color. I've kept baby crabs before but they cannot live long. Puffer fishes are cute but watch your fingers and the water pH is a problem. Have a nice day. :@)

  • cool!! :) my dad doesn't keep lobsters as pets.. he keeps fishes, marine and freshwater..:)

are you thinking of rasing them and eating them later lol? i wouldn't ..but my mom would love to!

  • No, I don't eat my pets. :@)

  • Amen to that!!

  • Aren't they cute? What do they eat? Don't they need salt water?

  • They eat frozen red blood worm and these lobsters are the fresh water ones but I'd add a little Aqu-Salt plus a little ANTI-CHLORINE solution into the water. :@)

  • maybe u could get some feeder fish guppys and giv em some
