Rodriguez has no sense of good taste whatsoever. Featuring a character as a Mexican janitor in one movie, then using that to bait kids into watching the same character glamorizing Reconquista and chopping off heads and swinging from intestines in another film in which all the women are naked and hiding cell phones in their vaginas?
I hereby conjecture that Mr. Rodriguez is one sick bastard.

@DozerfleetProd I don't think Rodriguez was planning on making Machete (the movie) when he made Spy Kids. or maybe he was, but he never got around to it and decided to test the character out. Anyway, Spy Kids and Machete are set in the same universe, which makes things interesting. I wonder that will be referenced in "Machete Kills" or in "Spy Kids 4"... I would be pretty cool to see Machete use some Spy Kids tech in one of his movies.
