i wish nz sounding dnb like state of mind and trei were popular in the UK, im fed up with subfocus and chase and status sounding music. trei is more melodic.
Yeah London & UK has got a lot of attitude, I can't be bothered with it man, I'm from London and I love seeing scenes abroad, much less attitude, yeah if it wasn't for the massive flight time I would come for a holiday, mind you are come down and spend some time in your area when I go travelling so are wait for that
Oh mate we had to wait 9 hours in that fucken quee, the time we got through the gate we had drunk all our piss we were meant to drink over the new years that we tried so hard to hide, if you didn't have the drugs it would of sucked cos it was muddy and cold lol Phat06 out of nelson was heaps better!
If you are from NZ and love drum and bass and jungle come to the UK. London runs things everyone know this. You are clearly all good people but if you raving to the backing tracks to this video you are being horribly short changed.
Bro I have to disagree with you. As some one who does come from NZ, does LOVE dnb and has come to London purely seeking some dnb goodness. The parties here in London are bigger no doubt but every ones playing the same stuff, and all UK DJs use WAY to many rewinds! whats the point in mixing if your going to violently stop the track anyway? And people arnt playing out tracks like this, its more a backing track. Kiwis like some harder sht like Kilotone etc.
London's great dont get me wrong, I have alot of respect for the birth place of DNB. But Ive found a few ppl in the scene here have "hard man" syndrome and ive never had that back home.
So I say if your from England try come out to NZ, get under the stars and have a good session of nonstop beats with good people and leave the huge ques, body searches and idiots with knifes behind.
But hey this is only my opinion. I'm sure others feel differently.
@nortexoid What a shit comment. I'm sorry that you feel so small you have to rag on a youtube vid to prove your scene is superior. Maybe if it was you wouldn't have to worry about it.
How about London or Europe for a fucking start, beyond you is why you have probably not been or lived any where else in the world have you... is a holiday to Aussie your idea of fun, you want to stay up and watch the sun with your bogan mates, I left this moronic country 8 yrs ago never been bk you all sound like muppetts when you speak, oh yeah I was born there, fucking mug.
@chewyandy i've lived in London and traveled all around Europe (and the rest of the world for that matter), and I still prefer the Drum and Bass scene here than anywhere else in the world. You sound like an abortion and i'm glad you haven't been back here in the past 8 years. you're a mug yourself and i'm stoked that maggots like you aren't involved in the progression of NZDNB.
Nice vid! HAHA I'm in there at just after 30 seconds. I remember this guy infront of me almost got away with heeeaaaps of booze but got snapped just as they cleared him
Hell yeah thanks sbtv for posting this hope ull be there to cover phat 08 and cover more good times. I was at the front when all the random dancers were on stage one of them jumped onto me lol
I'm not actually sure where you can get a copy from. I'm not sure if it has been released yet but you can find trei @ myspace(dot)com /tr3i. we've used a couple of his tunes now and that's out of four shows so far! Big up the one like Trei.
