They are reeling in Mississippi and the pardon no one can forgive is David Gatlin.
Gatlin shot his wife dead with their son in her arms and walked out of jail a free man last week, the beneficiary of one of about 200 pardons or early releases granted by former Gov. Haley Barbour during his last days in office.
Gatlin was freed before the courts could step in and halt the release, and tonight no one knows where he is.
All good people of Louisiana, VOTE FOR THE PORN STAR!!! This man is a con pig that needs to go down the toilet where bush took the rest of the party. Bye bye haley idiot barber!!
They're really the same difference, to me, I'm sorry to say. They both are known for rampant racism, blatant ignorance, horrible accents like this man....typical republican strongholds.
You like the war, but you don't like a reformation of helping Americans get better health insurance. You want everyone to die early. Why? Because your state doesn't like paying Social Security benefits? Or do you just like to see young people go to war and the emergency room?
I r is Haley Barbah of Missipah tell u dat we is tired of duh fedral gubnit meddlin in stayte affayers.
hell, duh cival rytes acts of ateen sixtay tu were enough, but no the fedral gubnit made us have eekwal public facilitays and we had tu let duh black pepo vote.
dey is just strippen every staytes rytes er dai. Now Obawmuh iz goin tuu make deth panuls fo duh old pepo and rashun helth cayre.
Obawmuh is nutin but an merica' haytin muzlum and he will tayke way ur gunz.
You've got a helluva lot more to worry about than liberals being made to look "stupid" with men like barber and the bush legacy. Flush. down go republicans with the rest of the poop.
Those conservatives and fear mongering republicans who keep nagging and scaring us about government run programs must remember the USPS and government run universities and Medicare have all work just fine and they provide the much-needed competition in the market. They did not increase the federal deficit, the imperialistic, oil-addicted republicans were the ones who created the largest federal deficit by spending on military and invading other countries.
Fear mongering Republicans? That Nigerian bastard with the bomb on the plane to Detroit makes me plenty scared. I don't need any "mongering." Obama, to say nothing of the innocent airline passengers who almost died, dodged an enormous bullet. Do you realize that if that bomb had gone off, Obama's presidency would be over less than a year into his first term? It was blind chance that it didn't. Thank God it didn't, but this president scares me more than any Republican.
You fear about a failed terrorist attempt that could have killed 200 American lives. Don't forget the thousands of lives lost in Iraq and Afghanistan who were sent to punish a dictator who we supported for many years during the Iran-Iraq war. We sent thousands of troops to Afghanistan to capture Bin Laden whom we supported for many years to fight against the Russians. The real terrorists are ourselves by feeding these monsters who become our enemies later.
If you're in agreement with me, then you'd agree it's best to spend billions improving our healthcare and education systems than invading other countries. That's the main topic of discussion on this forum. Apparently, Republicans would like to spend more on the so called "war on terror" which really means "let us invade oil reach countries and have a foothold in strategic regions in the world"
Now, regrettably, I'm disagreeing with you. And I hope you have no illusions about the alleged dovishness of the current occupant of the White House. Please remember that he made his desire to invade Pakistan one of the cornerstones of his campaign.
I don't understand what you agree and what you disagree with anymore. It seems you want to turn this into an Obama-bashing discussion. I rather discuss issues than individuals.
You sound too stupid to be scared. That's how we got bush then cheney and now the mess you created with them. I hope cons live by accountability when it comes time to explain what you were doing during the bush years. Get your story straight!
This is supposed to reduce cost? Can anyone name a government run social program that has worked well? Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid are all broke. The war on poverty has cost about 5 trillion dollars since LBJ implemented it, and the poverty level hasn't changed at all. The government will use increased efficiency in other programs to fund this one? Yeah, right.
Barbour says "Don't take my word for it" in regards to NJ and Virginia voters expressing dissatisfaction with Obama's policies. I won't. Exit polls in both states asked voters whether or not the President had any effect on how they voted. 60% said no, 20% said they were expressing dissatisfaction with Obama, and 19% said they were expressing support for him. Those numbers pretty much cancel each other out, so clearly, these elections were not a rebuke of the President. Don't tell the GOP though.
We would not have to yell at Obama and his healthcare plan if this was truly a christian nation based upon christian virtues and values like caring and helping the poor, the sick, the old and the young. They do that in many countries, they call it civilized in this country we call it socialism, but it is us who got it wrong, we really do not care about the week, the elder, the poor, the sick and the young do we??
How does a bankrupt nation "help" the poor? How does endless spending on governmnet mandated medical consumption help anyone?
We already *know* that all government programs go many many times over their promised budgets. We KNOW it. It is not even a question. We also know that government programs almost always fail. Did the war on poverty end poverty? Did the government take over of education make children better educated?
Grow up, children. Time to take your big boy pills.
And we also know, that in every way you can measure... be it time, money, pints of blood.... the ideological / Christian right gives far, far, far more.
The more left you go in the ideological spectrum... the more socialist... the lest giving the person. Not speculation. Clearly studied facts. (read: "Who really cares?" and "The Tradegy of American Compassion")
You are mistaking governmen power over people for "caring".
At least the republicans are smart enough to vote NO on Pelosi's health care monstrosity. If only the dems would read it, they too would know it's an unconstitutional obamination.
GOP is the NO party and do nothing to contribute to the well being of American people. They are paid operatives of big corporations and will do everything to make sure Obama fails. It's the type of partisan politics we do NOT NEED in this country.
Your statement consists of over generalizations and falsehoods. Get the details from an outlet other than MSNBC and CNN. Obama's admin is as partisan as it gets. The Democratic Party is the party of YES to MORE DEBT, LESS CHOICES AND FREEDOMS, and ANTI-CAPITALISM. Obama is failing just fine on his own. He doesn't need any help.
Yeah... he is not very attractive... and not so chrismatic. I only vote for people with charisma. What is the point of being a boring politician... if you are on tv, you should be entertaining, and that goes for politicians, otherwise, why watch at all? I want my politicians to get on tv and inspire me to be better. I think that is their job... all of this "law" stuff, and "oaths" an other garbage is stupid. Give me attractive and fun politicians.. especially of the right racial background!

LOL Republicans get the Governorship back in in Virginia and think they are coming back into power.
Apparently Republicans still can't count.
58 Democratic Senators, 2 Indies that caucus with Dems...
and a huge majority in the House.
Even if you win big in 2010, I seriously doubt you'll have a majority.
Suck it repubs, get used to being in the minority :)

how is obama's health care helping everyone, if the quality goes down as a whole?
what about the ones who actually pay for their health care? they lose numerous options and rights
health care is not simply about "helping" people
how much help do you really think its going to give the people?
not to mention a 1.2 trillion price tag over the next decade
whos paying for that?

Because they are not SUPPOSED TO. Political parties simply give direction to those that would serve in the VERY limited roles of government...
All that this is for is to allow for basic stability, so that the free people of America can live as they see fit to.
Only someone with NO understanding of history, freedom, and basic liberty would mistake politics for the well being of the people.
