Up to the Mazzy Star Fade into You cover dated Sept. 13, 2011, all my covers have been done with less than perfect hearing either by memory from when I could hear perfectly, by making my voice dirty or flared, or by sense of vibration. That is why I am singing to my hand in Fade into You --because I am not quite trusting my hearing at that point --I was comparing the full sound with the vibration.

Less than a month after posting this song --I had a miraculous recovery of my hearing in my right ear. It happened after I popped my neck --my eustachian tube had been pinched. A doctor had said it was an inverted eardrum. So, that's why I didn't sing this with a crystal clear voice. I didn't want it to be out of key. My hearing in that ear had been muffled for 7 years. So, it makes me wonder if singing this song which is a prayer had anything to do with it. :) Ya never know.
