  • wouldent the infinint be another way of saying repetition?

  • lets throw justin bieber in one

  • @Nazasssin

And Rick Perry. We don't need him either

  • @Nazasssin good idea..... gets evil smile ahhahaha

  • Nice And Informative Video..

  • In my Christian view, gravity can be a force that is nothing but continuous expressions of God's omnipresent will, a force which only in certain circumstances, as for instance in solar system, is proportional to mass. Things like gravity, black holes, dark matter, dark energy and background radiation from the Big Bang can be but scientific fictions, while the simple truth may be that God the Almighty is continuously ruling and moving the universe in many different ways and in any way he wants.

  • @mikilavush Prove it.

  • I vaguely remember something about black holes having a spin, which would result in a size slightly larger than zero. Do you know anything about that?

  • THERE ARE NO BLACKHOLES-THEY EXIST IN MATHEMATICAL EQUATION ONLY.

  • @Ni1234ckA

    And observed reality, of course.

  • Comment removed

  • is this proven? how would they know...jw

  • 54 people are Catholic.

  • @Antihippiemachine ? Catholic's can believe in black holes... utrollin'?

  • lol japnese/afrincan acant im am NOT A RACIST!

  • featured on 2;39

where can we find this picture?

  • "Now that's fun!" LOL shutup :/

  • Remember if you saw a black hole, run! .. dont worry :) you wont see it.. YOUR JUST SCREW

  • Thats niot fucking fun where gonna die!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Science is fun you uncultred bastards

  • indeed this is fun but i got a question that scare's me what if a black hole swallows the earth will we die in pain or easily and what after it swallow us? afterward will it make a spiral galaxy?

  • @vaironxxrd I'm not an expert in the field but what I do know is that if a BH were to enter our solar system, we be dead long before the event horizon actually hit us. Its gravity would create 100 ft tidal waves all over the globe, earth orbit would be screwed bringing superheated summers (too close to the sun) and unsurvivable winters (pulled too far away from the sun). meteors would be slingshoted towards us and assuming you survived all that, that atmosphere would be sucked off so no air.

  • @elevate07 Well anyways thx for that but basically we would suffer alot of pain huh? people would try to kill them self ?

  • Comment removed

  • @vaironxxrd probably. I'm mean really though it takes everything we got just to put a man on the moon and there aren't any earthlike planets for lightyears. If a black hole was to come there'd be nothing we could do but sit and wait to die. The chances of that happening are extremely small though so I wouldn't even worry about it. and to answer your other question, a stellar mass black hole cannot create a galaxy on its own. the milky way black hole is 7 million times stronger than our sun iirc

  • Well made with one possible caveat. We may know within the next 5 years or so whether tachyons exist (thanks LHC), and they may have the required velocity.

  • Einstein never killed anyone but the people he worked for did and so what. There were more people killed in the battle for Leningrad or the Tokyo fire storm. War is a tough business and it seems to be the one that we are really good at. ....................... Only the dead have seen the end of war. Plato

  • Realscience1 you are an idiot, they are real and it has been proved. Read a book or do some research other than YouTube. Try a subscription to Science Digest!

  • Black holes don't even exist. A more simple explanation is they are regions of electric discharge. cf Plasma Cosmology. cheers.

  • blackholes may no be "forever" .... as you suggest

  • i dont know why SOME people THINK that hes smart ????

  • also Einstein was responsible of killing 243 THOUSAND PEOPLE IN JAPAN .

  • einstein was a patent clerk FOR SEVEN YEARS !!!! Therefore he STOLE other people's inventions and attributed To himself ...

NOT To mention That he ALSO Advocated homosexuality when he was in berlin Germany .

  • one thing i'd like to know is if black holes will just crush you at the point of singularity or will they transport u to other rips in the universe or not i have no clue whatsoever so i'd like to know haha

  • @xXcrackheadfoogabeXx the amount of Heat, Force, Radiation, would kill you before you really ever enter it.

  • @xXcrackheadfoogabeXx

a singularity can not transport you anywhere as some science fictionists would like you to believe.

  • @Anthonyk312 woww i see thanks man =)

  • @xXcrackheadfoogabeXx

also wormholes don't exist because to make one you would need to rip the fabric of spacetime, which einstein said you cannot do, and there is absolutely no evidence for whiteholes at all.

  • @Anthonyk312 ohhh man i see theres so much i need to know man thank u for letting me understand thatt =) the last thing i want is to be ignorant to anything i'd like to be well rounded to everything or as much as possible anywayy haha

  • If the previously exploded mass collapses back down to form a dense solid , where is the "hole"?

You've shown all the gravitational pull on one side to form a funnel shape. Isn't there gravitational pull all the way around in a spherical shape? How can it be a hole? "black hole"?

  • @ytmachx

Black holes aren't really funnel shape, thats the bending of spacetime. You are right in saying that they are actually spherical. this is one of the greates misnomers of science that i thought he would clarify in this video but guess not.

  • Quick and to the point.

  • so if light speed is teh fastest thing in the galxy yet a black hole goes faster then light speed isnt the fastest speed u can achieve-_-

  • Black hole doesn't go fasster than light speed. Light speed is the fastest thing in the universe, so far.

  • To make it clear, the light has this speed because it has no mass, so it's not directly gravity that pulls it, but space itself that folds faster than light is travelling passed the event horizon...

  • Space itself doesn't fold faster than light.

  • From what i've understood, that's what happen passed event horizon... Perhaps you can explain me rather than simply denying, if i was wrong, i'd like to know when and how... Sincerly...

  • I mean space is so streched that light can't make it's way out...

And for such space to be streched infinitely in a definite volume, it has to be folded, no ?

BTW, doesn't it take millions of years for photons to escape even from the center of a star ?

As you guess, english isn't my first tongue... ^^

  • Sorry, by folded i meant ruffled... Just looked on babel fish... Sorry, but still in for clarification...

  • It's black hole's gravity doesn't allow the speed of light and light itself to escape.

  • How does gravity affect photons wich have no mass ?

That's why i thought it was space/time being bent/streched infinitely by gravity that prevented photons to escape, giving them an infinite distance to travel once event horizon passed, plunging toward the singularity in a never ending travel...

I'm not a professional but i've read much about astrophysics and that's what i've understood till now, and it seems logical to me...

  • Light cannot escape the black hole.

  • Ok, i'll stick to what i know as you don't seem to understand the why and the how...

  • "How does gravity affect photons wich have no mass?"

Photons have no rest mass, but they do have mass. We call this mass relativistic mass. And this is effected by gravity. If you were to travel at something like 90% the speed of light, you would become significantly more massive. The difference would be your relativistic mass.

"doesn't it take millions of years for photons to escape even from the center of a star ?"

    About 10,000 to 200,000 years.

  • Thank you for these precisions... I'll look closer at reativistic mass...

  • @Acrimonator everything has mass...

  • black holes trap light because black holes bend space itself

  • Perhaps you can help then, am i wrong in any of my previous statements, and if so, how ?

  • To the person who said light is waves, you're a fucking retard. Light can exist as waves OR particles, for example, when an electron and a positron meet, they anihilate and give off gamma radiation, gamma radiation is a PHOTON, a PHOTON of light, a PHOTON particle, this is called wave-particle duality. Please, do not comment on videos when you have no idea what you're talking about..

  • I admit over simplifying, it's not a reason to insult me. You should have developped/answered rather than ranting and capitalizing.

I know light acts sometimes like wave and other times like particles. In french, we even have a word for it, ondicule, wich is like saying, in english, wavicle.

But i make a difference between particles and what's generally called matter wich is a broader denomination. Ok ? Matter ≠ particles.

When i don't know the people i'm responding, i try to keep it simple.

  • BTW, light having no mass can't be consider like matter, it can ACT like matter, that doesn't make it matter...

  • Interesting stuff

  • According to the general theory of relativity, it is space/time that is warped by every and anything to whatever degree...and so, if "time" is warped to a certain extent then even something as "fast" as light would travel too "slow" to overcome the everchanging warping of space/time. This is somewhat similar to being caught in a riptide. Space/time being comparable to the flow of water.

  • @greenjeans7 No space/time is reffered to as a blanket if u want to argue with me then bring it i know college level and proffesser level physics and i know everything about black holes that they have put in books internet etc. and same with nuclear physics and im only 11 but you r partially correct

  • @Tricky858 Yes I could tell you were 11, because your clearly young enough to think you know everything about black holes. Even Stephen Hawking (The professor who discovered Hawking Radiation), Karl Shwarzschild (the professor who discovered the Shwarzschild Radius) and Albert Einstein (The professor who proposed the general theory of relativity)'s brains all composed together wouldn't know everything about black holes simply because they are a very unknown part of science

  • Black hole is Invisble, sleep & wake up like volcano : )

  • You can see a black hole by the distortion it causes to its surroundings...

  • also at the end he says they squash things down to size of infinitive small, yet he states is the size of a singularity, so by computer logic if a singularity is a 1, thats still a size :p might be every mass added adds just so small numbers its not niticeable before you add floater points or larger like 1.00000000000000000001 or something like that, its just very compresesd

  • Yep, a black hole is a sun that has collapsed on itself, our sun will explode or it collapsed but when all will be dead already; I would say i invite you watch my videos !

sorry i don't speak englich very well ...

  • @FusionNinjin

Not exactly... your talking about increasing amounts of mass occupying already occupied space. This isn't compressed air... you figure, if the weight of the water in the ocean was too heavy for it to hold itself up (and had nowhere to escape to, I.e., level out), it would collapse (compress). however, this water would become more and more dense, until it crushed itself and bored a hole straight through the earth.

  • @kindreddarkness

This in turn would make the water, which was too heavy for itself and the planet it occupied, to BECOME the "planet" and force the terra to succomb to waters' gravity. ... all while the water continues to collapse in on it's own weight till it becomes something so dense that the sheer gravity pulls the world into the water, thus collapsing under it's own weight and pulling in more at the same time. Now, your talking all of this the size of a fingernail? Lol... that's infinity.

  • @FusionNinjin in math, singularity means zero, not 1

  • isnt it a contradiction, if light cant escape a black holes gravity, then gravity is faster than light :P

  • That doesnt make sense. If you look at it in a really simplified way, light is essentially matter and gravity is a force. so gravity cant have a speed - it can only slow or speed things up.

  • well, in that case, light that is moveing towards a black hole in that logic will move faster, and in that case theres no upper limit to speed, unless you can name a fact that makes it obviusly logical that the named speed of light speed is the upper limit

  • Light is a wave, i(ts not matter in any way...

  • I said essentially matter. Just making the explanation simpler..

  • Comment removed

  • can it not be both?

  • Space is so bent that light speed isn't enough to escape the "reduction" of its support, space time...

  • so a black hole is like projectile diharia..

  • 0.53 seconds .. Dark Side of The Moon

    xD

  • im 11 ur all talking craziness im scared of black holes

  • im 12 and i am to!! lol

  • im 9 and im not, your total pussys

  • i can tell your 9 bu your spelling kid

  • how could you tell bu my spelling? i know of a lot of ways bu which you can tell someones age, but bu god this is the first time i have heard this technique used bu any one.

  • its a typo idiot but saying your total pussys isnt thats just grammer

  • so a person who dosent punctuate is calling me out on my grammer, hmmmm. not saying that i do, but im not being a english teacher.

  • you actualy replyed back.. just get over it

  • okay i will maybe you should take your own advice to pussy. LAST WORD.

  • @ishowr I CAN TELL YOU THAT I SPELL BETTER THAN ANY OF YOU ADULTS AND IM ONLY 13

  • Incorrect. Earth shrunk to the size of my fingernail would have the same gravitational pull as a full size Earth. If you can see the latter, you could see the former. You just don't want the marble-size Earth to fall on your toe!

  • Is there any black holes as close as us that we can travel to them and get sucked into them?

  • i know that there's one about 2 light years close to us

  • There isnt any in our solar system, and as far as I know we havent yet got anything past the edge of our solar system - so no. It would be a cool way to die though!

  • It would be so painful, I would rather die from a lot of things than a black hole

  • Wouldnt you just black out from the pressure? Unless you were moving at a really slow velocity towards the black hole, where you would be slowly crushed I guess.

  • What would happen is that you may eventually pass out, but all the while you are actually being stratched out and pulled like taffy by the black hole. It might even feel good at first, the stretch I mean, but then it will start becoming uncomfortable and slowly more and more painful as you are torn into peices and perhaps squished between some other objects caught in th gravity. Not very fun at all. But yeah, if your lucky you will black out from the black hole before you get the big stretch.

  • Remember before August 2006 people thought that nothing can escape from black holes.the black holes expell the particles it has absorbed which would recreate you but with diffrent particles. Remember even if you are stuck in a black hole, you will escape. But you will be only 1 particle really

  • yeah

  • The particles didn't escape, the black hole spit it out. So still, so far, nothing can escape the black hole.

  • It wouldn't be painful. it'd be over before you even noticed anything... because the gravity is so strong it will pull you in very quickly. Not to mention it will shake up your brain a bit, you are problaby going to pass out.

  • anyway anyone thought about atoms being sqashed to make "more room"

like when you forse two marshmelows one at the other maybe thats possible ;D

  • black holes=AWSOMENESS!!!

    need.... more.... knowledge...... abot...

BLACK HOLES!!!! lol jk anyway awsome thx

  • being in a black hole, what will happen? yeah, the things we never know xF

(technicaly the time stops in the center)

  • Well what supposedly happens is at the entrence ure ripped apart and at the "singularity" everything is crunched together.

  • yep, thats true

  • How do people know that there isn't something faster than the speed of light? What if there is something beyond our limits of understanding that is MUCH faster than the speed of light?

  • there is something far beond our knowledge.\

  • When matter becomes so dense, it seems to me that it would not be a normal solid any more, and by that I mean you would not have atomic and/or molecular structure any more. There would not be any room for all the empty space inherent in those structures. All the mass would be crushed together in such a way that it would be a homogenous soup of solidness. So... This is a fifth state of matter: the SuperSolid. (Added to the others: Gas, Liquid, Solid, and Plasma.)

  • is plasma not a liquid it is in the human body?

  • No, not that kind of plasma. (You're talking about blood plasma, and yes, that's a liquid.) Plasma is a state of matter that isn't quite a liquid or a gas. Plasma is a highly ionized gas that usually occurs at high temperature. There are lots of free electrons mixed in with the gas ions and it is considered an entirely different state of matter. (There is a good article on Wikipedia on Plasma if you want to learn about it; I am no expert.)

  • This stuff MIND BOGGLES ME!

  • It's Soooo Great To See What Yahwa's!!!

    GODs ) Works:)

  • the universe does have an end, at the very end of it, is the completely white, it is so white it will blind you at an instance before you even see it, so it will be as if you never saw it lol....................

  • there is a giant brick wall at the end of the universe!

  • The universe is always expanding at a faster and faster rate, thus making it impossible to even think about reaching the edge of the universe.. Nevertheless if you somehow managed to do it, I would assume you would bounce into an 11th dimension.

  • deppending on what theory you belive =] eg you explination wouldnt work for string theory te-he =D

  • Nothing is certain. We use theories to attempt to explain the unexplainable.

  • That is if you could make a structure to withstand absolute zero without the energy inside the spacecraft freezing... but space is infinate... nothing stops it... but letting my religious side take a hold Heaven is either another dimension or God's miracle because it is bigger than the universe

  • Jodie Marsh has got a massive hole.....

  • i cant under stand what your saying.

  • infinity huh? Guys i just devived by zero....whats going to happen to me?

  • I presonally belive space it's self is just AMAZING. I mean honestly. Black holes gama rays and super nova. Wow It's also really beautiful

  • yeah, thats gods creation for u ...this life isnt just a coincidence.. there is a purpose in life ...and this amazing creation is just to prove to you that there's god

  • Hmm I personally don't belive in god, but I do belive that there is some massvie force that create everything. But thats just me :D

  • thats what your mom said 8]

  • Still waiting for the proof part.........

  • LMAO! I fucking love it!

  • i wonder if a black hole has an end??? like the unveriser it doesnt have an end

  • well the end of a black hole is it's center...

recall how the guy stated spacetime is 4-dimensional...

well if you look at it from a 4 spatial dimensional view, then you can realize that the center of the black hole is it's end...

words don't suffice but you can look up 4d geometry to understand the concept

  • it has end end to eneywhere it could be like a wormhole you dont know if you are gonn come out in the mittle of a rock or die so y do u want to try ?!?!?!

  • in Soviet Russia you suck in black holes

  • scary!

  • hey i dont know anything bout space and have always wondered why does fire go out when you cut off its oxegyn supply yet there is no oxegyn in space so how come the sun keeps burning???

  • Hydorgen keeps it going

  • yeah yeah id say your mother wishes she had of brought home the afterbirth instead of you coz you really are a foul mouthed little shit who obviously is obsessed with the word retard then again you probably have so many mirrors in your house your that highly educated about the meaning of it too

  • Reading through the comments, I realize that you are a jerk who feels the need to put down every person who don't really have their facts down. You also like to (incorrectly) name random neurological diseases to insult others. You are really immature. Grow up.

  • The argument was over a long time ago. Stop trying to dig up old shit to insult me guy who I've never met. Seriously, get over it.

  • this is all bullshit

  • dude its only stars.

  • HHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAA!!!!

  • only stars can run out of fuel and explode, none of the planets are burning balls of gases.

  • Yes, im retarded. Not necessarily "fucking retarded", but close enough I suppose. Ive never heard of assburgers, are those from Burger King? Though, I have heard of Aspergers Syndrome. In any case, now that I have been told by a few people that my theories were wrong I must say...they were theories. Nothing more, nothing less. Im pretty sure you dont even know the true condition of Aspergers anyway, its much too complicated of a word for you to ever use again....bro.

  • You just told the world that Earth could explode and turn into a black hole and that Mars was dead because it was red. Who's the real dumbass here, bro?

  • Who CARES what I told the world? It was really more of putting my thoughts down to leave a door open for corrections. Which I received. Some were polite...others were complete assholes like yourself. I dont plan on going to work as a scientist and looking into space for a paycheck. I dont care enough to study all of this shit. It DOES fascinate me. I dont REALLY think Earth will explode. Then again, like I said, it was meant to be corrected if incorrect. Now it is, we're done.

  • Clicking your profile I find theirs no way you're actually 23. Unless you do, in fact have down syndrome or some sort of mental handicap. My best of thoughts go out to you living with a terrible condition.

  • You continue to impress me with your immaculate use of words. I didnt know that a mental condition affects the physical appearance of a person. And why would I lie about my age? Whats the fuckin point of that? Im not tryin to be hard over YouTube like you. I dont even need to click on your profile to know youre a complete dick. Thanks for thinking of me though. How the fuck does a rock know the future? Hahaha, Im done with you man, you need a hug or two.

  • I don't need to know the future to know you're going to grow old alone. And also, wow, insulting my user name, not that, please! My life doesn't revolve around electronics like you, you see I have something strange called a life. That why I'm 6 years younger than you and know more than you. Such as down syndrome isn't only a physical handicap you moron, pick up a book before the earth explodes into a black hole.

  • if you did mean aspergers syndrome then you really are an ignorant arsehole all children with aspergers syndrome have a higher IQ than the average child and only lack social skills so it is quite clear they are well ahead of your social capabilities and your intelligence given the comment you just made so you might want to consider it next time you think of using it to insult someone you moron

  • The fact you type like you have Parkinsons disease and the IQ of a small kid on Youtube makes me completely disregard your comment as useless and retarded.

  • 7 miles per second? really?

  • yes that is why it takes 81/2 minutes for light to reach the earth from the sun

  • hope it don't come near us. If it does we'll have to KICK HER ASS?! OR IT'S ASS!!

  • 0:16 google dalek

  • i thought people said you travel in time when u enter a black whole or summin because its so dense and the energy is so great... am i getting this confused with something?

  • Black holes bend space-time so immensely that when you get near one the perception of time between you and an observer further away becomes greatly altered.

  • In which way? Will you age drastically from the observers point of view or will you appear to never age to the oberver? Presuming, of course, that the observer would be watching for 40 years or so.

  • As you are pulled closer to the event horizon an outside observer will see your progression get slower and slower right before you go in, you'll be seen stuck on the brink for infinity by the observer.

  • how do you know?

  • No one can tell. In theory a lot can be said about black holes, but not one thing can be proven physically, other than it being an imploded dead star and an all-consuming something-or-other.

  • that was great information

  • black hole sun,

    won't cha come?

    and wash away the rain?

  • Super massive black hooooole.

  • black holes are so f**king awsome!!!, they are the coolest thing in the universe.

  • f*** dat S*** im confuzzled

  • OMG I love blackholes!

  • kinda cool, but i will say.... BLACKHOLES ARE FREAKY

  • I don't want to go through a black hole it would suck to be deleted. I joke alot just for fun and I do take everything as a joke because why not have fun.

When I said that I wanting to go through a black hole it was just a funny joke.

  • a black hole is a star with such a high gravtiy that it cant send out or reflect light

but im not sure, I read that

  • Anyone who is saying stuff about going "through" a Black hole is a retard. They don't go anywhere, dammit!
