Each flag is a flag-draped coffin. In addition to these 3000 or so flags, we could add 47,000 wounded and 655,000 civilian deaths. We went there looking for WMD. None was found. It's time to come home.
Our president created those terrorists who use those IEDs to kill our troops. We invaded their country. What did you expect the Iraqis to do? Throw flowers?
Thanks for admiting that you think killing our troops is the right thing for the terrorists to do in their situation (as opposed to supporting the new free government and rebuilding the country). But how do you explain that they are killing far more Iraqis than Americans with their attacks?
I never said what the insurgents are doing is right. I am just smart enough to understand WHY they are killing our troops. And since there are a lot more Iraqis than coalition troops, of course more of them are going to die.
Thanks for the post. I agree with Katie, just think, each flag represents a young life that had the potential and possibility to make a contribution to our society in a meaningful way. A war that never should have been.
How very sad. Each flag represents a young life snuffed out for a war that should have never occurred. Shame on the Bush crime family for profiting from their deaths. Let's hope Karma truly is a bitch.
Shame on Saddam for defying the U.N. for 12 years and blatantly ignoring 17 resolutions. Shame on him for being stubborn enought to thumb his nose at U.N. resolution 1441 that required him to open all his books and weapons facilities or face military action. This war is his.
And Bush ignored the UN and illegally invaded Iraq. Shame on him! These soldiers would be alive if not for our war criminal president. How insane to blame this on Saddam.
Saddam did allow the UN back into Iraq and the weapons inspectors were doing their job when Bush forced them to leave. I suggest you get your history straight. Your revisions are laughable.
Wow! That is a lot of flags! I live in OP also. I live around the downtown OP area. Where about is this guys house?

Your user name is laughable. And all the history revisions are the ones people like you make to turn Saddam hero.
travisalong 5 years ago
Oh good grief. Learn how to read. No one is claiming Saddam is a hero, travis.
Since you appear to support this invasion, when will you be enlisting?
