  • ahhh, so you can request the tissue expanders be put in before chemo.. must tell my little sis this, thanks x & had preventative surgery about 4 years ago & looked like that.. people thought I was 'insane mutilating my body like that' their words not mine.. was kind of thinking that too until my sis phoned me last week telling me she had 2 cancerous lumps on her breast.. she's 34... I almost hit the floor.. we are all brca1 carriers and we were aware the risk was high..

  • i'm so scared. i'm 42 and so scared. i'm watching this with no sound on as my wonderful husband is asleep next to me. thank you for this. but i can't stop crying. you are lovely. i go on saturday the 16th. please think of me. :)

  • I'm due for a mastectomy this April, 2011 and i want to thank you for sharing your journey. It gives me encouragement and information about what to expect before and after the surgery. Again, thank you and God bless for your speedy recuperation.

  • You look great! The incisions look good, too! They will certainly fade ~ when you can, keep them moisturized. I use a sunless tan lotion on mine. Your tubes came out fast!!! I had the hematoma and they had to open me back up three days after the double mastectomy and I had my tubes for WEEKS!!!! Then I had to have more when they did the expander to implant transfer because of another hematoma. I have Lupus Anticoagulant Disorder (blood) and I had clotting issues. YOU LOOK BEAUTIFUL!!!!
