Don't know what the UFO was, but to allay the fears of some of the commentators:

That was just plain old digital sky-writing.

Five airplanes fly abreast, with a wireless data link to a laptop, running a program that triggers a device on each plane, which in turn, injects a splash of oil into the engine exhaust of each plane, creating a puff of white smoke, spelling out words, like an old dot-matrix printer.

Hasn't ANYONE ever seen the Skytypers?!? They are a skywriting team that fly several abreast, and with a computer controlled system emit little puffs of smoke from their planes and type a complete message across the sky. Of course, angles, and wind need to be right to read it, and since this message was seeming to appear right to left, the videographer was "upside down" and could not make out the message. They fly left to right, like we read. As for her "orb" I call those "birds."
