Many politicians will rhetorically support the concept of a free market economy, and then turn around and support a bailout of institutions and speculators that should have been allowed to fail. On the other hand it is quite possible that the collapse of the economy is the result of the easy money policies of the FED that allowed rampant speculation to occur. Everything was running fine until there was a 1/4% increase in the prime rate back in 05 and it was like slamming on the brakes at Daytona
@gardee37 you mean "breeding" lmao...you epitomize what you so despise. How ironic. People really need to get over Dems vs Reps...right vs left..it's sooooo outdated. Teh
@davehutchinson67 The problems that face this nation are greater than any one political party. It's time to end the wars, end the fed, bring the troops back home. I"m voting for Ron Paul Do I agree with everything he says..hell no..but he is the most honest man I have ever seen run for a political office. Only one closer would be Jimmy Carter. Don't flip out everyone....I'm talking about HONESTY..pure and simple.
@davehutchinson67 I agree with everything you say, but as a compromise rather than end the FED simply put them on a short leash that only allows marginal adjustments to monetary policy pending Congressional approval. Jimmy really was the best President of the later 20th century and it is a shame that so many people fail to recognize an honest man of faith.
We the people should vote on what WE!!! spend our money on, Why are we Borrowing money from Our selves via the Federal Reserve and pay it back with interest, but the money does not come back to us, I am so fed up with this.
Not sure the exact amount of people showing to the protest I'm just collecting signatures but there are 12 protests total (one for each federal reserve) Which one are you planning to be at?
I agree. Everything should start with helping the American people, not the stupid corporations who didn't know how to properly balance their checkbooks.
I do not support the bailout bill because it represents corporate fascism and it also represents acceptance of fraud and extortion by the banks and lack of controls by the government.
Why would you do that when there's Mckinney running as a green, and Nader running as an independant? They share his views on just about everything I can think of.
But WHY did he jump around like a crazy fanatic chanting OBAMA OBAMA before the election. What the hey? What was going on , did some aliens probe his brain and make him dance? I want to like the guy but if he doesn't know obama is the most dangerous thing to ever happen to the world, what does he know?
@TheGoodnessIsGood This was a bill passed under the Bush Administration. The date shows this quite clearly - 3rd October 2008. This was before the election.
The USA citizens are required to pay for their "Right to Work" - the Income Tax, which is unconstitutional. Furthermore, the government uses the people's hard worked money (income tax) to kill innocent people in wars. The USA tax payers are financing the killing of innocent people. Wake up!!!
The dollar is not backed by gold or silver. It is just paper backed by speculation.
Inflation=devaluation of the currency, which means that the dollar is worth less.
If Bush was so concerned about this society (I am s he is not), why he just two months ago declared that there is no problem with economy? Either he was lying, or they artificially created a crisis to intimidate the population and , before they leave the office, to make sure the rope is on the neck of the nation. Otherwise he would call a committee of economists carefully to work on a project which would be a real rescue one.
Here is what happened; Paulson/bush came over night to rob Ame.nation they paid pimps (pelosy-obama-cain-other-junk); NOW THEY ARE READY. They will rape USA people+some nations on earth as much as they can and then kill the victims.

Well time has shown that the financial bailout bill was completely and totally the wrong thing to do.
Time has proven the bailout to be a scam of the highest order.
The backers of the bailout needs to be charged with treason at the very least they should be tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail.

We should natioalize the malls and walmart. and then turn them into factories to build solar panels.

@tonylee1973 Yeah, we should give $535 million dollar loans to solar companies! Oh wait, Obama did that and the company went bankrupt

All i know is that the Constitution doesn't weigh 7 lbs. This bail out package needs that much to destroy or economic policies.
