  • I Just noticed there's no Glock 29 Close up video, maybe in the near future :)?

  • What kind of ammo do you primarily use in the 10mm?

  • Glock model 40 10mm. .40 and.357 barrels to be had. Still hitting with the Sig cartridge most likely. Still would be cool though!

  • I found the 29 to be not as accurate as the 30as well. I was rooting for the 10mm too.

  • How come no 11 round +1 mags for the 29? Or no Glock 40 10mm G36 platform w/7 shot +1 mag. Flush mag would be 6. By the way no 5 round flush mags for the 36???

  • Awesome. I'm getting one of these when I turn 21 next month.

  • I've got an accounting final exam in a half hour.

    ...I'm at home watching hickok45.

  • I just picked my 29 up today!!! Sweetness!

  • Congrats on the "Trophy Gun", that will be my next Glock purchase.

  • Picked my 29SF today! Love it.

  • Wow, those 10's hit hard!

  • Hickok, awesome ass little range you've got there. I am about to buy a new subcompact gun, How would you rate the recoil with this weapon compared to the Glock 30? About the same?

  • Nice shooting! When others on youtube shoot that gun, it looks like it's gonna jump out of their hands, Hickok makes it look like a .22!

  • Hi, i watch alot of your videos and like them a lot. I own a glock 20SF and a Glock 22, When 1st fired them they both was hitting a litle high and to the right. I was wondering if your glocks came like this and if that is normal. And also if u have any tips on what i am doing wrong and how to change this so that they are more on target it would be greatly appreciated

  • Hey, hickok. You sure are getting famous on here. I have been watching your videos for some time now and have been venturing back to the G29 vids over and over, in fact I noticed that I had commented on John's 10mm vid a year ago. I finally got one today though! :) It's my 4th glock, and I must say...the recoil is VERY tolerable. I read so much nonsense about it being harsh; that's totally not the case. I barely noticed a difference from my 27 and 30.

    Love the socom vids too...drool...

  • im surprised you dont get slide bite shootin like that....lol

  • man hickok45 you can shoot! :D

  • you need to enter yourself for Top Shot no joke

  • 4:42 - Hickok is so dang scary with a Glock he makes targets faint.

  • I'm on the market for a handgun. Tough time deciding between sig or glock? .40 10mm or .45acp. Also, what are the hottest hollow point loads one can purchase for each of these calibers? I've read that the glocl models chambered for the 10mm developed cracks ...is this true or false? Should I be concerned?

  • Oh man, I'd love for you and John to do an Chapter 3 with this great gun. It would look real purty on that new camera of yours.

  • I bought a 29 today. Thanks hickok. Oh, my other gun is the other 29. Thanks Elmer.

  • You have the best shooting vids on Youtube. Im considering this little hand cannon when I come back from overseas but the ammo is so expensive. I carry a Ruger sr40 when im back home. Do you recomend the double tap 135 grain for 10mm self defense?

  • Thank you Hickok for keeping me up late at night watching your excellent videos. The 10 MM is the most powerful Glock made, by far. I do use the 29 as a CW, I have the Glock 20 mag in it with the extended grip cover. Georgia arms for cheap ammo... I verify that they are sending me brass not steel casing. I use Double Tap as my self defense round, 230 grain. It does not get better then that. I mostly use this weapon as self defense only & practice with a Glock 19 or a .22 full size sig .

  • @weaponseducation , You carrying the 230 gr. cast bullets? They give horrible accuracy in my stock barrel, tumbling at 15 yards. my barrel won't stabilize them, I suppose. Not sure what all the reasons are.

  • @hickok45 I am looking at getting the Glock 29 but the tumbling bullets is a concern. Are the 230 grain the only 10mm loads that you have noticed tumbling, or are there others? I appreciate your input, and love the videos!

  • @weaponseducation so you are using the "equalizer" double projectile catridges. how do you like them.

  • I just want to pick the brass up after he shoots

  • @fiznurazzudno I'll be picking up the brass also like a range rat.lol

  • i am curious as to how powerful the 10mm round is compared to a .45 acp like in some of the other Glocks?

  • this just might be my first glock

  • Take that you stupid jugs!

  • dont forget about nagants shooting 7.62x25 :)

  • lol@ 2:33

    aaaAH feels good.

  • Comment removed

  • @Mace2A 2:33 rather

  • was wondering since you shoot alot where do you get your ammo since you must get it at a good deal since you shoot so much

  • @whatsmyname252 , I get it at the same place everybody else does; there's no free lunch. It's just expensive.

  • @hickok45 I thought you were a history teacher, not economics! :)

  • @whatsmyname252 he uses the check youtube sends him to pay for ammo

  • Hey Hickok45 do you shoot the .40 S&W round out of your 10mm Glocks?...many claim that it works out of Glock and that its safe.

  • @boostimalaka1 , I've tried it and it works, but I don't think it's wise to do much of it. Seems pretty hard on the extractor to hold the case in place. In a pinch, though, when zombies are crowding in and all you have is .40 ammo and a 10mm, go for it!! :-)

  • Did you notice better accuracy or the same .I also herd the same thing about the extractor. That's what many guys shoot at the range and save the 10mm ammo since the cost is high and ammo is scarce.

  • @boostimalaka1 , No difference; see my "Accuracy" video. :-)

  • Hickok45 I did see your Accuracy video and agree with what you are saying.I believe you are giving the thumbs up on shooting the .40 S&W out of any Glock 10mm.I would like you to do a video on this. You can show that a .357 mag can shoot .38 spl .44 mag & .44 spl. That would be a great video Hickok.

  • Is that a Mustang GT I hear in the background @ 3:53? Haha

  • Hi Hickock - wich handgun would you prefer on a trip into a bear country? I'm talking about brown bears because we in central Europe don't have anything bigger (thank god ;-) for that) here to threaten us. I am considering a Glock of course, you got me to them ;-) and also a Smith & Wesson revolver model 629 with 5" barrel - would the 5" barrel be enough for the powder to burn and for the bullet to get the right velocity? I like both but would the 10mm be enough in FMJ bullet configuration?

  • @GunnerYuri , Yeah, I'd say with the right ammo, that 5" 629 might get the job done.

  • @hickok45 LOL, I think you and steven seagal "THE LAW MAN" should have a little shooting compitition lol, I dont mean to blow smoke up your rear, but I think you would be a better shot! LOL, great job!!!

  • Do you feel like you shoot the 45 better than the 10?

  • WHo the hell put that comment at 7:16?? Can we get rid of it? Why try ruin a perfectly humble yet incredibly knowledgable guy's video?

Hickok45, you are a legend. I'm very envious of your arsenal, especially the G20 and G29, and I love that range!

Wish you were my uncle or something so i could visit and waste some of your ammo. Don't have a long lost nephew in Australia do you?

Ignore any critics, you do a great job. Keep it up. I'd love to buy you a beer!

  • @AssaultMechRider675 , That's just me making fun of myself. I changed it to "I." I never thought about people not realizing that I'm the one who does all the annotations. :-)

  • Im going to get my CHL on September 25 and I don't no if to use my g26,g27, g30 or g29 o and ruger lcp 380 what do you think? I need some advice.

  • i like your videos. I love my glocks I have the g26,g27,g29 and g30. I saw your ak 47 video like it. I like to shot my ak 47 ther bad ass 2.

  • I just got a g29 but it's use. He shoot 1000 rounds in it.Is that good or bad? can I send it to glock to get the finish redo on it sorry for my spelling?

  • @lilchris423 , I think you can send any

Glock back to Glock for refinishing. I'm not sure what they charge.

  • You have an interesting way of posture when positioning for firing. My question is are you flexing your shoulders, back, and arms forward thereby locking into position before firing? It would appear you are thus reducing recoil effect.

  • So if I buy the LW conversion barrel will this be easier on the extractor???

  • @rbelena , If you buy it in .40 caliber.

  • I was wondering if you could answer a question for me. I own a Glock 29, 10mm. I can buy a conversion barrel for this gun from LW to fire 40 cal. My question is why do I need to buy a conversion barrel since 10 mm and 40 cal. are the same projectile? The 10 mm barrel in any case should be a stronger barrel given the higher balistics of the 10 mm round. Please advise if you can.

  • @rbelena , I've fired a couple of .40 rounds in my Glock 10mm pistols, but it's not advised to do it much. It's hard on the extractor, and the chamber in the 10mm is longer. It requires much more work from the extractor, as I understand it.

  • I had thought of getting a Glock 29, but ammo for 10 mm is expensive.

Are you using your own reloads or factory?

  • @frankgon4 , Mostly my handloads.

  • @frankgon4 - compared to 9mm, yeah, 10mm is expensive. Compared to .45acp? Not so much. A lot of times I'll find the .45 ammo is a couple bucks more than the 10mm.

  • Hickok, are you shooting the Glock 29 or the Glock 29SF?

  • @Tadpoleriver , I'm not sure the G29 SF was even available when I did this video. It's the standard G29.

  • liked the mustang in the background :)

    You're an excellent shooter

  • @GT4604, Okay, that's impressive; you identified a Mustang from the sound of the engine. I probably could have been looking at it and not told you what it was! If you're so good, though, tell us what color it was! :-)

  • hickok, when you are shooting I notice there isn't much muzzle flip. Do you use your left hand to push against the right thereby neutralizing the flip or is the left hand basically neutral?

  • @retthok , My left hand is not totally neutral, but I don't apply too much pressure with it.

  • Glock needs to be sponsoring you

  • My absolute favorite auto pistol cartridge; anything less is like plinking with a .22. :) Only difference is that I prefer the colt delta elite. Have you ever shot one of those?

  • @PowerliftingWSM , No, but I'm very familiar with shooting 1911s. I like the way the Glock absorbs the power of the 10mm.

  • You sir, are an amazing shooter! After watching these videos, I've determined that my next purchase will indeed be a G29... I like the idea of a compact powerhouse in a versatile caliber with Glock reliability.

One question - do you prefer the SF model or the normal G29? I have pretty big hands so I figure either will probably do, but wanted to ask.

  • @K0wK1lla , My large hands actually prefer the standard models.

  • Gee... Hickok, you handle 10 mm mighty recoil as if it was .22

Amazing... I can't control even 9 mm as firm as you control 10 mm, or .45. You have some hands man!

    Great video!

  • cant find a good price on this gun do you have any recommendations on where i can find one under $500?

  • hickok45 what would u say has more recoil the g29 or g30?

  • The G29.

  • i could here that efi 302 mustang burnin some rubber in the background.

  • could anyone tell me what which caliber would you compare the 10mm to

  • I got a question for you kickok45 wat hit's harder the glock 30 or the glock 29??? can you tell me that please

  • I guess with full power ammo, the G29 might hit a little harder.

  • you're a badass, where do you buy your full power loads are they double tap?

  • I load full power loads, as well as buy some Double Taps. Got some 230 grain 10mm loads from Double Tap this week. CAn't wait to play with them.

  • are you left eye domminant? if so howcome you shoot your rifles right handed?

  • I shot everything right eye and right handed up until a few years ago. I noticed that I got a clearer sight picture with my left eye, so I switched over to my left eye for handguns. It's clearer for long guns, too, but it's a much harder proposition to switch over those. It only because my vision is better in my left eye, although I AM left eye dominant.

  • Man that thing carries alot of energy down range, and as always nice shooting!!!

  • I am a firm beleiver in the 10mm I will say it has the most versatile use of any auto loader cartridge.I like your vids. I find it unfortunate that the ammo is not easier to come by and that contributes alot in my opinion from someone who would have bought a 10mm having to settle for something less.

  • can u recomend a good place to buy this?

  • Which kicks more in your opinion, the G29 or G30?

  • Glock 29 kicks a bit more.

  • what is the availability of 10MM ammunition? I love the idea of the 10MM but ammo seems to be hard to come by.

  • what happened at 5:24 .

  • I got a bad round / primer.

  • I envy your property. I wish I could set up something like that, unfoortunately I live in the city and am forced to go to a range. I would like a place in the country with alot of property...someday,

    nice vid

  • I meant the yellow targets...

  • Does it help in any way that your targets are slightly "downhill" relative to the shooting point? I love your videos, they are the best on Youtube that I could find, very informative and lots of shooting, not just talking. Thanks for your hard work uploading so many of them. Lots of stars and ad clicks from me.

  • 10mm is more expensive because it is more better! just like anything that is better than norm.

  • i try to explain that to people as well the10>.45>9mm you get what you pay for

  • is the 10mm glock sinificantly harder to shoot accuracy wise compared to the 9mm?

  • Not if you shoot a fair amount and if you are used to some recoil.

  • Are you sighting with youre left eye?

  • Yes, I do sight with my left eye.

  • @hickok45 What is your favorite Glock?

  • WOW, I finally saw you flinch! lol. Keep up the great vids.

    At 5:23

  • I have watched several of you videos. I am impressed at your skill. You have set a standard that i will try and match. Your long range shooting is just amazing. i will try it myself. my hat is off to you sir.

  • Love the Glocks Hickok! I wouldn't mind owning a 10mm someday but just can't justify the expense since it's not really a widely distributed round just yet.

  • I agree, its more availble than it use too be but not as avalible as it should be. I think that the 10mm is the best round in a standard size handgun. I love my Delta Elite. Its been around since 1983 and dont understand why its not more popular or more widley avalible.

  • Nice! I haven't had a chance to fire a 10mm yet. However the new MCS coming out from MSAR might change my mind, heh.

  • They don't ricochet, they break up on impact because they are frangible rounds. Ammunition is typically made of copper and lead, both of which are malleable and break easily on impact (this is a good thing).

  • I was wondering, do you reload?

  • i have a glock 20. they are beast.

  • Is the 10mm your favorite? I don't think you're foolin' anybody! Great stuff bud! Retire from teaching already and just do vids.

  • have you ever been complained for disturbing neighbors or are you way out in a shooting range in the woods

  • NO, I'm out in the county where it's legal to shoot all you want.

  • sweet, wish i could

  • loved hearing that american muscle in the backround of your shooting.

  • The G29 is the ultimate pocket cannon.

  • I really dig your range, sir.

Always good to see you have fun out there.

    5 stars.

  • I am full on envious of his range.

  • thank you hickok45 for my daily dose of gunshot noise. hehe if i cant shoot everyday, I can watch someone do it.

  • Sorry, but I think I've addressed this question as many times as my brain will allow. View all my Vlogs and my G30 video.

  • It's a pistol round, it's not going to spray metal everywhere, cause it's slow.

  • That made me thirsty!

  • What happened at 5:24? Hangfire? Out of battery?

  • Not sure. Bad primer or dirt in chamber from my handloads.

  • whats a Hangfire?

  • glocks are such great guns i dont care what any of the haters say they just work and work well. i am running a sig 239 as my conceal carry but come tax return i want to get one of these to carry once and awhile. i love that full power 10mm.

  • you control the recoil really well. it looks like the web of your hand is really close to the slide

  • Hickok -

Love the Chapter 2 mindset! Great shooting. Thanks!

  • Let's hear what feeble excuse he dreams up after those 3 misses! :)

  • Are you shooting hand load ? If not what load are you shooting ?

  • great vid, and great shooting man!! also is the g29 more powerful than the g30?

  • glock 30 is a .45 acp...29 is a 10mm...so i would say 29 is more powerful

  • Can you make a video of Glock 26? Thank you!

Always your big FAN!!! Nice shooting!!

  • at 3:45-4:00 was great, somebody with some meat under the hood and a stick shift

(5.0 mustang!?!) went by while hickok was shooting...priceless :)

  • i bet with all the guns u have u have a card in ur wallet so u now what shelles to buy when ur out wow grates videos i would love to have a place like this someday

  • 10mm is expansive to shot

  • Wow, I wish my recoil control was half as good as yours... you make the recoil look as if it were little more than 9 mm.

Another awesome video and obviously really nice accurate shooting, as always.

  • You can really see the ground now in winter.

Hundreds of years from now, people might wonder if a great battle occurred on that land.

    There's copper n' lead everywhere!

  • awesome! Im looking inot transitioning from ym current carry (glock 36) to a glock 29 when I have money to buy one...I klnow its slighty bigger and more on par with the glock 30, but I figure Ill go from 6 roudns of 45 to 10 rounds of 10mm which is even better, haha, anyway my question is ina subcompact woudl you say the 10mm is on par with the 45 as far as recoil and follow up shots go?

  • They are very similiar, except the .45 is probably a bit lighter, more of a push. The 10mm is a quicker recoil.

  • Thanks for the quick reply, much appreciated! And as always I really enjoyed the video, thanks!

  • You shoot very well with that baby Glock sir, good job! 5*'s

  • i see you shoot a lot of glocks. any jamming problems?

  • Almost never in 20 + years. It just about has to be an issue with a handload, where the case is old and worn or I'm experimenting with seating bullets differently or something. I don't know that I've ever had a malfunction with a factory round.

  • I always hear trucks in the background.I have to assume they are delivering your ammo.LOL 5*s.

  • Yep, the UPS truck that delivers my ammo has broken three axles I use so much lead. Just keep clicking those ads! :-)

  • Thanks for your opinion on the 357sig vs. 10mm question. After watching this latest video on the 10mm, I think I'm sold. Those heavy steel targets were falling like they were shot with a rifle, good demo of the power 10mm has. Also, it did not appear the recoil was overly high. Even fired from a sub-compact G29 the round looks fairly manageable. Thanks again, and as always, great video!

  • hehehe 2:35

  • @wawawewaryan yea the viagra kicked in.

  • i would hate to be the guy on the other end of your gun XD keep up the good shooting

  • Oorah! put the led down range.

  • hey hickock45, i was wondering where you get your steel targets? i am also looking forward to r. lee ermey's show this friday. i was unaware he had a new show, thanks for clueing some of us in.

  • Most of them I've bought at ArntzenTargets in recent years. They have a website by the same name. I had most of the standing animals made locally back in the '80. Been trying to kill them for decades!

  • hickok stop w/ that ,

" didn't do all that good shooting"

you hardly EVER miss,i know, i watch all ur video's.....

gonna put some lead down-range w/ my G-17 before this weeks out

    great vid as always...!!!

  • Great shooting. Never have shot the 10mm personally, but have been reading a lot about it in my reloading books. Do you prefer to carry 10mm over 40cal?

  • Not generally; it's too thick, unless I'm in bear country! :-) Then I WANT thick!

  • I'm not really a glock fan but you make them look pretty damn nice! Btw are you into Practical Shooting ? I think it's very fun and it's great training for selfdefence.

  • Excellent hickok45 I see the recoil is not too bad how would you compair it to the G27? wich would you carry I know you love your G27??

  • Thanks for another great video. I am already saving my pennies and dimes for my next Glock. I don't have as many as you do...but I'm working on it!

  • Another great video and great shooting. I always enjoy your videos!! Keep up the great work!

  • Hey Hickok45, Great vid. Excellent shooting. Just goes to show, practice makes perfect and even then there's goin to be misses. Have a good'in,

  • Yep, anybody who shoots pistols a lot knows that it's so, so easy to miss, particularly when any distance at all is involved. It's also easy to miss at moderate distances if one is trying to shoot too fast and isn't totally focused. I don't redo these things just because I miss. It's a bit like a reality show, I guess. :-)

  • Yeah, that's what I like about your vids. You don't sugar coat your them. When you miss you miss. No reason to make yourself look perfect by editing the misses out, which by the way, are very few,lol.....

  • Great vid. once again. Do you load your own 10 mm ammo? If so, what loads do your Glocks like?

  • I pretty much duplicate factory loads, but they will even function with light .40 S&W rounds. I don't do it much, but I've shot .40 S&W factory rounds through both the G29 and G20 just to see if it works. It's not recommended, but it does work. Feels about like shooting a .22rimfire in these big heavy Glocks.

  • I'll bet most watching this don't have a clue about how hard it is to actually hit these targets with such consistency at these distances. Great vid as usual.

  • That 10mm looks like it packs a punch!

  • thats some awesome shootin there man. i have the fnp9 and am pretty happy with that. i wanted to pick up another 9mm, either springfield xdm9 or glock 19. after watching alot of these glock videos i think i might go with the g19. keep up the good vids

  • another great video
