Richard Dowling is one of the greatest straight and ragtime pianists I have come across in ages. No wonder he is in such demand. wonder if he will vever come to Australia,. We are starved of such talent as his, especially in the ragtime department.

I will soon be attending one of the finest Ragtime Festivals in the world at Sacramento, California in November. It is the Annual West Coast Ragtime Festival, and I have posted tons of videos of performances at that festival over the past 4 years on my YouTube channel. A good many of the Best Ragtime performers on the Ragtime scene here in the USA have been classically trained musicians & perform in both genres regularly

I am not a performer (well, a little bit of washboard now and then), but I do lots of video of the performers at these events. I now have over 1800 videos on my YouTube channel and a great many were captured at various ragtime and early jazz festivals around the USA. It has been a wonderful hobby and I love the great collection of music that you can see on my channel. I've been fortunate to meet and become pals with a good many of the stars you see in my videos.

I think that Richard's best ever piece recorded on YouTube is the 'Graceful Ghost Rag'(Unfortunately not the one that you posted!) - but this one has been removed from YouTube because of a copyright claim. A great pity. The other one is his 'Original Rags'. Both of these were posted by rtpress.
