It's automatic. Once installed, you can't go back. New games will have this update on the gamedisc.

No there is no audio problem now. Some users using HDMI for audio experienced some audio problem after the NXE update last year. But Microsoft fixed that with a new update a couple of weeks ago.

It comes with the original dashboard, but once you get your 360 connected to the internet, you can upgrade your dashboard.

i have to admit the old dashboard is easier to go through, but the new one is good for new xbox live players, not saying im new, my first 12 month subscription is nearly over but i prefer the new experience because of the inclusion of avatars & the whole design is quality to me, the only problem i have experienced is that when you sign on msn messenger you cant sign out (while playing a game) without having to sign out of xbox live

i really love it that u can download a game onto ur xbox 360 hdd and play it so is will play with barley any noise..but u need the cd to be in the drive but the cd dosnt spin..the laser just uses the cd for info...

play from hardrive is shit everybody. you have to have the game in the disc tray while you play. i had GTA 4 downloaded it from friend. just to find out i needed to have disc in the tray when i play.STUPID

Of course it requires the disc, the disc is used as a key to prevent piracy, the reason why they added the functionality is because the read time of the hard drive is faster than the read time of the DVD-ROM drive, so it lets the game load quicker, if you ask me, it's a good idea, except they need to release a 1TB hard drive to make this feature usable (not many games will fit on a 60 or 120GB hard drive)

i think you have to download the game and then you will be able to play that same game without the disc if you downloaded it onto the hardrive

no. the achievement system will still be intact and run the same as usual. the onley way you might lose a game acheviement is if you have 0 on it and you accidently press y while in a certain menu

There are two good thing in my opinion about the update.

1: Group chat.

2: Downloading games from disk (possibly, this depends whether you still need the disks to play).
