  • the only reason Tsarist Russia was gravitating towards constitutional Duma was due to the efforts of the people, both peasant and inellectual, bourgeoisie and radical. It was NOT due to Nicholas II.

  • and Tar was intentional. Just because I dont like the royals of the Empires doesn't make me a Bolshevik. It makes me a democrat.

  • Great video !

  • Comment removed

  • God save Tsar and his family !

  • 1400 people died at this coronation.

  • You forgot the part where 1,000 people got crushed in a stampede.

  • Russia under Tsar = prosperity and mighty Russian Empire.

Russia under Lenin and his followers = shithole .....

Yeah long live Lenin and communism !

  • youtube: Anthony Sutton Bolshevik Revolution

People don't understand they are fed Jewish revision of history. No one lies like the Jews.

  • ohh genial un claro ejemplo de el cine lumiere :D

  • this is amazing... I said to my A level students I would try and find a video of this but didnt know if one existed and it does!!! They will be soo happy!

  • Dios salve al zar y a toda la santa familia imperial

  • Well. Lewnin and Stallin were not perfects and liked to close newspapers , radios, etc, that were against them but the Duma Police closed some newspapers and all of them ( not only the newspapers ruled by communists ) said things against Rasutin and some people of the royal family.

  • @Capitalist09

LONG LIVE TSAR NICHOLAOS II !!!!!!!!

  • The Monarchy will come back in Russia. Hopefully H.I.H. Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna will become the Empress of Russia as a constitutional monarch.

  • @Capitalist09 Fuck Tsar who ruled like a dictator condemned a lot of people to dead ( the communists too ) and was an hypocrit who have treats with the german Emperor but became his enemy in WW I.

While the Tsar have the power the russians were poor , in villages a woman could be punished for fornication, or the childrens can be punished too if the police wanted punish their parents !!!!!!!

  • @Laventanaindiscreta1 The Tsar was just a really bad leader, but he wasn't a bad man. He was deceived many time by many peoples. Khodynka Tragedy and Bloody Sunday were just 2 provocations by the Jews and Rasputin was a black magician and also a German spy. It was all a set up byt Askenazi jews. years before Rothchild swear that he would kill tsar's alexander ii family because Alexander didn't let him do his "bank business" on Russia. We all know that Lenin and Trotsky were funded by Rothchilds.

  • @KidJohnnyStorm Yes, the Tsar was a good kind man but a BAD BAD leader. Well, the jews are not guilty of all the things that happened the last 1000 years and Rasputin couldn't be a german spy because he was only a poor russian farmer and a fraudter, and couldn't be a magician because MAGIC POWERS DON'T EXIST.

And I learned Lenin was helped by the German Kaiser Government who hekped him to return to Russia by train and gave him 100,000 rubles too; not the Rotschild bank :(

  • @Laventanaindiscreta1 Yeah soz the Rothchild bank didnt not funded Lenin ... only Trotsky. Lenin were funded by the Germans and they helped him return to Russian by a train exactly like you said. Well i believe that magic powers exist and Rasputin have actually black magic. He was a mysticism and he somehow held Alexandra hostage (i think) that's why she did everything he said. He sometimes said to Tsaritsa that the devil came inside him. I also heard that he was addicted to sex. What a monk ...

  • @KidJohnnyStorm Well, Rasputin was a " very special russian monk" he had an unclean life. He was adict to sex, often had sex with whores and the russian newspapers told that rasputin had sex also with the Queen and his daughters but the Tsar's wife always thought at Rasputin as a Holly Healer who was sent by God :( I respect your opinion but I don't believe in magic powers :)

  • @Laventanaindiscreta1 Anyway.

But just to make it clear, Trotsky and Alexander Parvus took over 2 newpapers and start to propagandize things against the Tsar, his family etc.

The funny thing is that Nicholai didnt "close" any newspaper which was against him (But Lenin did).

    CENSORSHIP !!!

Who is the real fascist? :)

  • Witte's quote is from his memoirs. He wrote it while in France as Nicholas had his house in Russia regularly searched. Witte himself remained a dedicated monarchist until his end. Even a dedicated monarchist like Witte having such a poor opinion of Nicholas II justs shows what a low and mean person Nicholas II was. More from Witte's memoirs:

  • "I may observe here that His Majesty does not tolerate about his person anybody he considers more intelligent than himself or anybody with opinions differing from those of the court camarilla. There is an optimistic strain in His Majesty's character, and he is afflicted with a strange near-sightedness, as far as time and space are concerned. He experiences fear only when the storm is actually upon him, but soon as the imminent danger is over his fear vanishes.

  • Thus, even after the granting of the Constitution, Nicholas considered himself an autocratic sovereign in a sense which might be formulated as follows : "I do what I wish, and what I wish is good; if people do not see it, it is because they are plain mortals, while I am God's anointed." He is incapable of playing fair and he always seeks under- hand means and underground ways. He has a veritable passion for secret notes and methods.

  • Even at the most critical moments, such as the period which immediately preceded the granting of the Constitution, His Majesty did not relinquish his "Byzantine" habits. But inasmuch as he does not possess the talents of either Metternich or Talleyrand, he usually lands in a mud puddle or in a pool of blood."

  • According the great intellect Trotsky:

At the very dawn of his reign Nicholas praised the Phanagoritsy regiment as “fine fellows” for shooting down workers. He always “read with satisfaction” how they flogged with whips the bob-haired girl-students, or cracked the heads of defenceless people during Jewish pogroms. This crowned black sheep gravitated with all his soul to the very dregs of society, the Black Hundred hooligans.

  • @1mrnewman Quoting Trotsky adds very little to such a discussion. He was a genocidal maniac and a political extremist. His thoughts on the political situation in the Russian empire doesn't have anymore value than Adolf Hitler's thoughts on the political situation of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Not to mention was known for his hypocrisy and political prostitution. Through out his entire political career he was supported financially by wealthy capitalists.

  • He not only paid them generously from the state treasury, but loved to chat with them about their exploits, and would pardon them when they accidentally got mixed up in the murder of an opposition deputy. Witte, who stood at the head of the government during the putting down of the first revolution, has written in his memoirs: “When news of the useless cruel antics of the chiefs of those detachments reached the sovereign, they met with his approval, or in any case his defence.”

  • @1mrnewman While I tend to have some skepticism towards Witte's claims, you seem to rely very heavily on his writings. Would you mind citing this particular quote ?

  • @bobmarleyisgod1 But some people's lives are worth more than others, a brain surgeon's life is much more valuable than the life of a serial killer. A dedicated and caring mother's life is worth more than a hobo...

  • The reds who killed the czars family bayoneted the children after thinking they were dead while they were taking there bodies. What kind of people are they.

  • cool!!! a blast from da past :))))

  • It's sad to think that everybody in this film is dead.

  • This footage is 115 years old. Cool!

I do love the USSR, but the Russian Empire was the Grand Jewel!

Had it survived, it would have captured Constantinople and annexed Turkey while expelling Turks to Central Asia.

And from there it would unite an Orthodox Christian Empire! A Byzantine II some would call it, and revenge for the Orthodox empire which was crushed by Turks and terrorized for 500 years.

Imagine! But the dream isn't dead yet.

  • @havee3333333 It almost happened in 1878 under Alexander II.

  • @ImperialRussianGuard

I'm aware. Romania and Serbia was freed from the slave chains of Turkish fascists. :)

I wish they made an amphibious invasion of Constantinople. I'm sure that if they did that, there would be a lot of rebellion in the Empire, or at least the Christian regions.

But who knows, I didn't live in the era and I would only be predicting something that would have sounded ridiculous at the time.

Today is a better time than any for this, let's just hope we don't waste time.

  • The Romanovs lived in splendor while their people starved.

  • that is big big lie, created by the bolchevism,

  • @littlehorse49 Many millions more suffered under the communists

  • And exactly two days later the horrible Scene at the field with 5000 dead people woul be the first nail in the coffin of the Romanow Dynasty

  • Remember that Imperial Russia was a very backwards land. It had little industrialization, there was a rigid 3-class system (which was pretty much gone from the rest of Europe by the mid 1800's) and was a nation based on farming. Lenin and Stalin with their NEP and Five Year Plan turned Russia from an almost feudal country to the industrial power it is today. So economically the Soviets helped A LOT.

  • @SniperWarfareOhio Actually Russia was becoming a very industrialized nation under Nicholas II. The railway network grew 57 % between 1898 and 1913. Also pig iron production grew by over 100% in those years. Industrial output grew at annual rate of 5 %. Also would you call a nation in which theories on rocket science were being published backwards ? the only thing Lenin and Stalin did was murder millions of Russians. Nicholas II would never do that to his subjects.

  • @ImperialRussianGuard ever heard of the bloody sunday?

after the lost war against japan in 1905 the people in st. petersburg were demonstrating for more rights and better pay. It wasn´t even menat rude as they loved their tsar. They just wanted him to think about the innerpolitical problems russia had in 1904/1905.

during the demonstration, suddenly people heard mg fire

2300 people died, because the russian army killed them.....

guess who gave the order :)

i don´t want to be rude, just saying ;)

  • @xyvvz I have as a matter of fact. I also happen to know that Nicholas II wasn't even in St.Petersburg at the time, let alone ordered for troops to open fire on the protesters. There is no evidence that the troops acted with any orders from higher command, let alone the the Tsar himself. In his diary, Nicholas II expressed sadness at the event. He was unfairly blamed for it.

  • @ImperialRussianGuard oh i didn´t even know his diary was available, that´s amazing!!

do you remember where you found what he wrote inside?? that would be interesting!!

and do you also know where you have the other facts from and give me a link?

i would like to take a look on it.

    thx :)

  • @ImperialRussianGuard Nicholas II had it too easy. He should have been put into a gulag.

  • @ImperialRussianGuard

production of raw material isnt industrialisation. mass industrialisation only occured in russia during the first 5 year plan. However youre right that 1913 and 1916 were most prosperous years for russia.

  • @ImperialRussianGuard EXACTLY...Russia was evolving into a constitutional monarchy but World War 1 destroyed that effort and brought into power the worst system of government imaginable.....Lenin and Stalin murdered countless millions of their own people and others and produced a grossly inefficient economic system to boot....Drag Lenin's corpse out of it's resting place and burn in the middle of Red Square........

  • @ImperialRussianGuard um, you do know that Tar Nicholas personally ordered the war against Germany and Austro-Hungary, a war which led in the end to the deaths of around 3 to 4 million Russians. That's 3000000 people. They were not statistics. Moreover, Nicholas was responsible for Bloody Sunday, for the disaster against Japan. If you want to see the real Nicholas II, who called constitutions 'senseless dreams,' watch Fiddler on the Roof, where we get to see pogroms!

  • @ImperialRussianGuard So you would argue that; In the expense of millions of workers and peasants, Nicholas II industrialized the country, yet you fail to see Stalin who also industrialized the country and made it a superpower at the expense of bourgeoisie?

  • @SniperWarfareOhio You need to read a good history book, the industrial revolution was already well on its way in Russia before the revolution.

  • last white tsar

  • Stalin was a total c**t. Lenin was also a c**t, but less so than Stalin. Nicholas, though a nice guy, didn't have a clue what he was doing (through no fault of his own, he just wasn't Czar material) so to a much lesser extent was also a c**t. Conclusion - people are c**ts. Argument over.

  • @bobmarleyisgod1 Pogroms are natures way of fighting infection. Any institution that disables that natural reflex disables a nations immune system. And you see the world now has a full blown case of AIDS.

  • After the zars or russia where murderd! all farm land was taken away from the farmers and millions starved to death FACT! The United States sent 100s of 1000s of tons of corn and wheat to stop the starvation and it worked. Thene the slave labor was put to work planting and harvesting the crops. There was still famin and hunger because the communist party and military ATE! FIRST!

  • Da romanovs

    was a bunch of toffs

    dat took a good beating

    from stalin and lenin

    da girls doe was pretty

    wid very nice titty

    wish ide been around

ide have giv dem a pound

  • @UKFOREIGNERSUNITED You're drunk aren't you ?

  • Who would have thought at that time that it would be unfortunately, the last Romanov coronation..

  • I'm glad this film is so available to us now.

I'd really love to see the coronation of Charlemagne. Any help would be appreciated.

  • @afjaggers Just in case you were not aware: The coronation of Charlemagne took place in approximately 800 CE (Common Era). You are not going to find any videos of the actual event. If you are interested in what the coronation of Charlemagne might have been like, you might try looking for a feature film interpretation or a History Channel documentary. You will be hard pressed to find any video footage of historical events or persons prior to the late nineteenth century.

  • I'm glad this film was able to be made so acessible.

I really wish I could find a copy of Charlemagne's coronation. Anyone have a copy of that?

  • @bobmarleyisgod1 Once again you're jumping topics. Anyhow you do realize quality of life greatly improved under Tsar Nicholas II? The mortality rates went greatly down while per capita incomes rose. Education greatly grew. By 1914 3/4 of all school aged children were receiving an education. In 1916 2/3 of all private cultivated land in Western Russia belonged to peasants. So, no they were not starving to death or treated like cabbage.

  • @bobmarleyisgod1 You have completely gone off topic. You made a ridiculous claim that Lenin was not a Communist. When I replied informing of of this you instead go on a rant on the distinction between Communism and Socialism. Regardless if Lenin was a communist or a socialist he was blood thirsty murderer. Supporting him only discredits you.

  • You do realize you are arguing about one hundred year old politics on youtube, right?

  • @bobmarleyisgod1 I never said that Hitler was a left-wing socialist. I merely said that to claim that Lenin was not a Communist is to claim Hitler was not a National Socialist. Your reading comprehension concerns me,

  • @bobmarleyisgod1 Lenin wasn't a Communist ? And I'm sure Hitler wasn't a National Socialist ?

  • @bobmarleyisgod1 You claim I lie yet you have done nothing to disprove any of my claims. I have quoted from primary sources and provided statistics. You have done nothing but yell " Communists are good, Tsar is bad!"

  • So the Tsar should have been killed for a supposed " White terror" even though no such terror existed ? Even so why should he have been killed for something he took no part in ? You claim that Tsar Nicholas II ruled with an iron fist ( which I don't understand how that is a bad thing ). However if you were to read some memoirs of some people from that time one sees how merciful. One policemen write how he pardoned a revolutionary after a teary appeal from revolutionaries fiancee.

  • Millions were starving ? What sources do you have back up those claims ? Your claims are not only completely absurd but also completely false. If the Tsar did not care about his people why did he work so hard to improve education? Thanks to his tireless efforts by 1914 3/4 of all children were attending School. During Lenin's time literacy rates actually greatly went down. Tsar Nicholas II and his Prime minster introduced a series of reforms which made the peasants more independent.

  • @bobmarleyisgod1 "YOU IDIOT" speaks for itself. You came to power - you got what you wanted. But generations will pay for what you did. There is only one book to be carefully studied to understand the world and its history and you, unfortunately, missed it... Don't bother to reply. It is useless.

  • @bobmarleyisgod1 Tsar Nicholas 2 was too kind. There was no iron hand. Millions starved to death under bolsheviks.

  • @bobmarleyisgod1 Lenin wasn't any angel either. I suggest you research the "Red terror" . Not only Stalin is to blame for the failure of communism.

  • @Capitalist09 I respect all ideologies, and now I tell you, Russia was better with Stalin than with Romanov. Nikolai were a real motherfucker, he killed more people than Stalin, he sent children to die in the War I while he stayed at his palace, he never gave a fuck for Russian People, he stole all their food and killed many people only for asking for bread. With reds Russia wasnt well but it was better. So please stop wathcing Anastasia (Cartoon Movie) And Study more History.

  • @ZeOgrobe Из того, что Вы сказали, видно, что Вы не очень хорошо знаете Россию и ее историю.

  • @ZeOgrobe I just remembered. After Stalin's death the guide taking people around Kremlin was telling the tourists that all Russian tzars taken together hadn't spilt so much human blood as Stalin did.

  • @ZeOgrobe Anyone who claims that Stalin was better than Tsar Nicholas II cannot be taken seriously. Such people are ether attempting at being comedian or are genuinely that stupid.

  • @ImperialRussianGuard Anyone who thinks Tsar Nicholas II was a saint should not be taken seriously either. Nicholas was like W Bush, a foolish man placed in a position of way too much power

  • @bobmarleyisgod1 Lenin and Stalin is the same trash, they were killers millons of people, It's not true that Russia had better lives.

  • the moral of the story is, never let dumb peasants into a position of power

  • @Capitalist09 russia would had never become a super power without Lenin, idiot.

  • @irondeth2

you really have no fucking clue what your talking about do you? read ANYTHING about russian history, you fool

  • Lenin MURDERED MILLIONS AND YOY JOHANN OLSSON DARE TO INSULT RUSSIA!!

  • Amazingly well-preserved and remastered for such an old film. Very good.

  • Tsar Nicholas II we will always have you in our mind =)! People of today complaining that he was a tyrant, are you really that brainwashed ? When the discussing reds took the power, they killed more of its own people than anyone else did, Stalin, Lenin killed more than 20 million of Russians and other neighbors! If Tsar Nicholas II empire would survived then Russia wouldn't be a stone age country! Dead to communism, to brainwashing! Better Dead Than Red! Rest in peace to Anastacia =(((((((((

  • @JohanOlsson you are as stupid as your beloved Nicky. No wonder you idiot can't count. Thank to God some one taught you to read and write, must be wise man.

  • @Capitalist09 Thanks a lot for sharing my opinion =)!

  • bloody tyrant. Shame of russian nation.

  • So fasinating to watch

  • So many tragic circumstances came together to destroy them. Rasputin, the peoples' mistrust of their German Czarina, her reluctance to tell her people of her son's illness, leaving them to imagine all sorts of terrible reasons why she retained Rasputin in her court. He was a letch who fooled her by day and screwed around with countless women at night. The people hated him and subsequently her for allowing him to have so much influence. She believed he was keeping her son alive.

  • Dmitrij Miedwiediew

  • Even if people thought the Tsar had to die to win the Revolution, the Communists had no right to kill Olga, Tatiana, Marie, Anastasia, and Alexei. The children did nothing wrong, just born into a political game of chess where they were the pawns.

  • @kyotogirl0345 i agree, they shouldn't have wasted bullets on the girls, just stomp them to death. ha ha ha

  • @890buddha Cruel.

  • @890buddha Look ho w ugly they were!

  • @kyotogirl0345 I must disagree with you (although it pains me to say this) but if the communists desired a revolution, and the abolishon of their Monachy, then killing the Tsar alone would simply not achieve this, all inheritors and inheritrixes must also be killed.. using this logic there is a case for sparing the life of Alix, as without the Tsar she couldn't of made another heir. It's all bloody tragic, i wish Russia retained it's monachy.. it would probably be in a better place now if it had

  • @kyotogirl0345 These monsters knew the history. And they were sure that the people would want the tzar back as they wanted to bring back the king in England. That is why they killed everyone. Then started killing each other like poisonous spiders in a jar... Russia could have been a rich country without them with all these human and natural resources it had.

  • @kyotogirl0345 Because revolutions are bloody, Turns humans to killer animals. He should of sent his kids off somewhere like Gaddafi did

  • The only constant in the universe is change.

Every empire has risen and fallen,

every house has gone from sandals to sandals.

In the end, this too shall be forgotten.

  • Indeed Heterodoxy, and no doubt a great number of them where killed by Stalin.

  • I totally found this by accident. I was just reading about him on Wiki. I had no idea there was video. This is a reminder that the people have the power. This family met a tragic end but unfortunately their splendor was the result of untold suffering.

  • Once upon a time "one" could respect Russia, since the revolution we (the free world) have not been able to..... Not even a war declaration would be honored now just a republic of bandits if soviet or russian, no difference!!!!

  • @Vonwar01 Russia is the best country in the GD world. Look at what Bush did to us, and look at what Nick did for them.

  • He was such a kind man. Shame he hardly knew how to rule a country...

  • Give me Holy Monarchy any day!

  • so sad what happened to that family

  • @karrrido i totally agree- my great grandfather was there as a guard that night, and took pictures of the family being taken. He said it was the worst night of his life.

He couldnt fight for them, not in russia, not then.

  • He was the richest man in the world during his reign.

  • @thegreendestiny

    ABSOLUTLY!

  • Где царь, блядь? Заебали толпу показывать, где коронация?! Оператор, убейся ап стену, лох

  • @kloratis

  • the revolution was good, but the tsar and his family didn't deserve to die

  • I wish Russia would transform into social conservative republic. No democracy - because Russians live in democracy today worse than under communism and monarchy. Democracy is a very long process and mafia bribes officials who have huge impact on elections, passing of bills, etc...for such a big country like Russia major reforms are needed, but it takes too long for this mess. Our presidents are building casinos in front of Pushkin monument when rest of country has no water. Sorry for my English.

  • @RodinaZovet russia was always fucked up , regardless of political system

  • @sewagedweller

I agree - only Russians have jokes between themselves against Tsarist rule, Soviet rule and today's rule. Only time Russians were living good was when there was principalities and knyazi which was 500 years ago - when government had limited control. Russians, I think, need an anarchist form government - these people are the only people I can think of that were literally always fucked by the government.

  • with the kings went God

  • how rich was he? and where did he get his money from? was he a billionaire back then?

  • It was a great coronation, I was there!

  • OMG! That´s impressive!

  • Lening should have changed the govenrment as a comunist consitituntional monarchy! must be way awsome! If it exsisted...

  • fuck the commies, all dirty fucking jews

the Tsar lead the Russian people with honor, God bless him and his murdered family

  • The Tsar was the greatest!!! Long Live the Tsar :(

  • It seems so very long ago, yet all my grandparents were alive when this happened...

  • Wow. The last part of the film shows even the Muslim Chechnyans paying homage to the newly coronated Tzar of the Russian Empire. And yet, Nicolas is Russian Orthodox which is one of many Christian faiths.

  • democracy=rothschild

  • interesting footage.

Im glad someone took the time to record it in 1896, when moving pictures were still a novelty.

Who could have guessed that only only 21 years later, Nicholas would be driven from power in such a dramatic manner?

  • Fabulous historical piece of film. Thanks for posting!

  • Do not take your life too seriously. Each and every person you just watched is deceased.

Enjoy life, be kind to others, and be kind to yourself.

  • @Heterodoxy Be kind, rewind.

  • I dont know about that, I thought i saw a couple of guys from this video last week while i was high.

  • Tremendous vizzideo!

  • Wow.

  • Белиссимо видео на русской императорской семьи!

    Поздравления!

  • Comment removed

  • Czar Nicholas II was crowned in 1896, which makes this probably the earliest movie footage ever shot of a major government event. Amazingly well preserved for being 114 years old.

  • I love all the Communist and Royalist propaganda in the comments thing. When will idiots learn the Democracy is the way to go, not because it's a good way to run a country, but because it's better than every other system.

  • i disagree, those countries were much better off as monarchies, russia is a mess now, germany is becoming the same, austria-hungary was much stronger united as a monarchy, italy too

  • Monarchy belongs to the past and has no purpose in modern society.

  • ya because corrupted political parties are so much better, politicians bought and paid for by jewish zionist bankers....democracy is a lie, people dont have a voice, politicians are weak, i want my country run by the aristocracy/Church who would do whats best for the country

  • Who ate all the pies?

  • im sorry i dont understand :/

  • Did you eat all the pies?

  • while monarchy itself is dangerous when it is left unchecked, I think the recent wave of sheer ignorance and hysteria that is taking over the United States shows the real and frightening limitations of democracy. Democracy is not flawless and could easily degenerate into bloody and savage forms of mob rule, which is by far the worst state in any civilized country

efficient and fair monarchies will always be able to prevent mob rule. I can't say the same about democracies

  • @fluffynoses Not really, because monarchs are now only figure heads,an unelected family enjoying handed down wealth and privelege.

  • what are you answering to? an unelected family does not equal tyranny and oppression. If a monarchy is efficient and fair then that is the most idea government

because the problem is, 90% of the time, the democratic electorate is composed of the capricious and idiotic opinions of a voting bloc that often lacks the proper acumen to make effective government decisions.

yes democracy has worked, but in many places it has not been efficient at all (Haiti, Somalia)

  • I thought we had a democracy.

  • yes it has worked in western europe and the united states and canada

but in the grand majority of places, it has fallen flat on its ass. see my fear and distrust is with those who are so willing to assume that democracy is superior. in fact, democracies and republics have produced tyrants as well, look at Robespierre.

democracy can degenerate into mob rule, which is what is so dangerous about it. and mob rule is a million times worse than even the biggest asshole monarch

  • It works because you buy it....

  • @DocGorilla I buy fudge doughnuts and look what they have done to me!!!

  • fluffynoses - that's all fine, as long as you realize that the US was *not* set up to be a "democracy". It was set up to be a republic.

Yes, democracies are insane forms of government, cleverly designed to fail, and deliver the people into a fascism eventually.

After all, what is the definition of democracy?

It is: "Two wolves and a lamb, voting on what's for lunch".

  • "Two wolves and a lamb, voting on what's for lunch."

omfg, that is such a funny and brilliant quote. never heard that used before.

  • @nameofthepen Uh it was established as a representative democracy; apparently you're trying to associate the words republic and democrat with Republican and Democrat - a simpletons mistake.

  • @LambChowder1 - LOL. I love it when people not only display their ignorance of the basics, but add on a childish insult for emphasis. USA was founded as a Constitutional REPUBLIC. Has nothing to do with "Republican and "Democrat" parties.

    .

Suggest you pull your foot outta yo' mouf, and watch this series:

    "Michael Badnarik's Constitution Class"

    /watch?v=_nOMbfsgZ9s

  • @BillDFC Constitutional monarchy is all right.

  • The 9 guards will hold them back tsar. no worry. ... We need about 50 rasputins and 50 broom handle mock guns to hold back the peasants. Asap... ahh wait.. nevermind.. - dead guy

  • Because they did it secretly in a basement cellar. Not to mention 'giving a fuck" would have gotten you shot.

  • Dude, this friggin' awesome. I wish I could've been there...
