Though your voice is a bit hard to hear, what I could hear sounds great...and your piano interpretation is most impressive. Thank you for posting. Bruce and Roy would be proud.
I've been listening to the Hammersmith 75 album for some time now, and your intro to Thunder Road is amazing. I'm not sure if Bittan or bruce himself played the song to intro the concert, but I wish they had incorporated your intro and wrap-up. I hope you learn the harmonica to get that on the song too. Keep up the work, I expect that we shall see great things from you soon!
The intro is stunning! Such a nice job, and not just with the piano either. You have a great voice as well. Thanks for the post. Keep on playing and keep on singing!
I'm only 16 and I've been brought up in a Bruce fanatic household. I honestly thought I was the last person of my generation to even know who Bruce Springsteen is! :D I don't have a favourite Bruce song, but Thunder Road was the first I really heard and fell in love with. Obviously you weren't as great as Bruce, no one but him is. As a piano player myself, I was listening to the piano not the voice. And that, my friend, you nailed spot on. Fran, England xxx
Reuploaded Thunder Road again;) If you remember my first version I would love to hear your thoughts about it, I would like to know if you think this one is better or worse.. The reason that I want your opinion is that I think you play it to perfection! This is easily the best piano cover of Thunder Road on youtube..
Has anyone ever found sheet music for this Hammersmith version of the song? I've been searching forever and can't seem to find anything. Really, really would love to learn it!!!
Hey Dan;) just put my own version of Thunder road up. I would be thrilled to get your opinion on it:) Already told you several times, this is perfect! love your version more than the original. Cheers!
Dude your piano playing is sheer class thanks. I have a proposition for you. If you send me a backing track of this then I'll sing the vocals for you and post it but its up to you. I just think this track is crying out for some killer vocals and I'd love to sing it for you.
amazing!! ok... i read the description but is there any way you could make the sheet music somehow?? i have been trying to figure this song out on the piano but havent gotten very far, and this version is better than the one i was listening to!! so please if theres any way you could get the music out...
I he used the intro at some during the Darkness tour ('78), check out Passaic Night/Piece De Resistance(bootleg) from 9/19/78. Send me a note if you want a link to where to get it (i can't post websites on comments).....BRUUUCCE!
Thank you! You look like you are surprised yourself of what you are doing! Your hands are playing as if they had wings! Where are the angels hidden? Beautiful! Thank you.
Great job with the piano-would love to see more dynamics employed. This is the first time that I have heard it solely on the piano. I would like to know where I can find this piano arrangement-care to share?
Nice job on this. There's a singer in there, you just need a little more confidence. Try raising the key a little at a time until you have to push to sing it. Don't quit, you're good.
whoa daniel, its gary. i didnt know you played the piano, and ur really goood at it. have sean and them seen this before? i bet sean would make fun of you lol.
Hey! your reply came thru as I was listening to Backstreets! Crack on with Racing in the Street. I ought to send you the Live DVD of the Crystal Palace 2003 version which was the best ever! Good luck!
Dan, just listened to Thunder Road - great stuff! The logical next step has to be "Racing in the Street". The song in Bruce's repertoire with the best piano! Good Luck!
WOW!!! This is amazing! You're a really great piano player! I'm impressed! And you look so young! You must be playing from the cradle! Wonderful job!!! Keep it up! And do more! PLEASE!
Very good Dan! You need to get closer to the mike so your voice can be heard better. I'm just learning to play the piano and I'm trying to pick up on Thunder Road myself (best song ever IMHO). keep playin, bro!
Dude you have to find some other musicians and throw a weekend band together (if you haven't already)and take that talent out for others to hear....playing covers is not a bad thing, especially if you play them as well as you do. Encore, encore....way to play bud...I might just record that...overdub my voice and send it back to yah!
wow ! that's amazing ! keep it up !

that was pretty damn close to note for note perfect! Major Kudos for playing the hammersmith version too.
You should do some others from hammersmith too. Like the solo from kittys back or lost in the flood or saint in the city. That would just be awesome.
