He got flushed out , the undercut was not that bad, like it was not enough to 'suck you under'. If you look, I got pinned in the same spot just before him, but as I rolled, I just braced and waited to get flushed out away from the rock, then I did my roll and snapped back up, only to watch the other guy get pinned and pull his skirt.
I got pinned against that wall too. The flow was real forcefull. I just set up for my for and waited it out till the flow floated me away from the wall then I rolled right up. As you can see I left my helmet cam on the whole time.
yh espadaverdad i saw the wholoe vid i just had no idea what caused him to have to bail or anything.. its clearer now!

That flow was about 160 cfs. a little low . I think that at that flow the undercut is more exposed and forcefull.
When the flow is higher, say at 250 or 300 cfs , the undercut is deeper and the suface water is flowing over and around better, not as forceful.
