Thanks for putting this together. I just came back from my first visit and uploaded a little photo/video montage on my channel too. Though your photos came out a hell of a lot better than mine! Did you use an external flash?
love your pics, my wife and i go there every year to check out the new attractions, every year we go back it just keeps getting better and better, thanks for the memories from your pics
My friend and I visited in 1990. My friend could'nt wait to exit as he said it looked like somebody "threw up" all over the place. I on the other hand loved every square inch of the bizaar , nightmarish, hokey, and sometimes exquisit vision of Alex's collections. I even got a visit to the maintenence shop and met some of the people who were in the process of applying midi controls to some of the instruments. The robot orchestra with the weird players & Mikado still evoke strong images for me.
Nice photo of the Mortier dance organ "Minerva" facade at 5:14 in your video! I just wish they'd sell it already though, since it serves very little purpose at HOTR, and the new facade the current owner had made isn't quite right...

@SilvercityPink90 Completely agree. A real power of this place is this unusual feeling. And you would be missing it for sure.

This place always reminds me of a psychopath's house in a movie where he collects everything and keeps old mannequins.

Some people may not like this place. This is just not their kind of art.

Take a whole tour and plan 5-6 hours. There is a cafeteria in the middle to get some rest. Enjoy!
