Hum, had Randy not had his life cut short would say Randy would be a better all around technical player( when on tour the first thing he did when getting to every town was grab the yellow pages and get a guitar lesson, usually classical) But, for just raw playing and feel would have to go with Ed, plus Ed has inspired more players world wide and when VH1 came out, it was like he was dropped to earth by a space ship, I was playing at the time and was like WTF is this?

Van Halen does have a new CD completed. But Eddie has been in slow motion phase for the last few years dragging out everything. Every prediction and time element has been wrong ever since the end of their reunion tour, taking longer to do every step! So now that they have said the album is complete and it will be a Fall 2011 release and tour, dont be surprised if this ends up being a 2012 release and your. But I cant see it not happening, the album is done and already being remixed!
