  • Love to see this Bike in such Good Shape Thank You for Posting ! :) QC

  • The owner appreciates the interest. At present, he wants to keep it... and share its story with others.

  • Would you ever consider selling it and if so how much?

  • What's it worth?

  • gave me wood

  • happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday INDIAN happy bithday to you!!!

  • This was from when men were men and all motorcycle riders were mechanics!

  • Put a Windjammer on it!

  • thats worth alot of money to the right person

  • You should bring it to PawnStars.

  • @ToneProjectTV That's a dumb idea. You would lose quite a bit of money by going that route. If someone were ever to sell a bike like this (which they would probably have to be crazy to do,) the best place to do it would be at a vintage motorcycle swap meet or an auction. Better chance of making more money in the end. But like I said, why would anyone want to sell one of these?

  • If you ever find a car or motorcycle in a barn, it has been tarnished and weathered, but yet it still runs, DON'T RESTORE IT! Well, sure it will make the car look better, but restoring it takes all the patina off of it, and it won't be in original condition.

(I got this advice from Wayne Carini when he found a 1965 Saab 900 in a barn on a land trust)

  • Re speed, on another website, someone says, "The single-cylinder motor was modeled after the de Dion-Bouton vélocipède engine, which produced 1.75-horsepower. The Indian Single could reach a top speed of 25 miles per hour."

  • @2cvdave I think the information you presented is in regards to the earlier single cylinder bikes. I think at this point (1911) the 500cc singles were producing 4hp, and the twins were producing 7hp. Of course, I could be thinking of another manufacturer. There were planty back then..

  • How fast does it go?

  • 'Cuz rust is a decoration.

  • COOL! is it considered rideable?

  • Awesome!

  • Great video. Thanks for sharing!!

  • That is just too cool. i would kill to have an old vintage bike like this. it just amazes me how good these bikes were built back then. just awesome.

  • Nothing beats the old Indians!

    hardcoremotorycle . com

  • I just fell in love

  • That is sooooo cool !

  • almost 100 years old

  • ok its running now can you ride the piece of shit?

  • @nickslayer1 you turd

  • Is it just me, or is this the oldest running unrestored engine in the world?

  • I'm more into older cars but this is a good peice of history :-D My dad only has old Vw beetles neihter in restorable conditions so they will be race bugs :/

  • Wow that is to cool. Great find, thanks for sharing.

  • Haha its 100 years old! Thats cool!

  • looks like a free style motocross bike! lol

  • Truely Amazing! I would be like those guys there and just stare at it for hours! The more you look at it, the more things you find that you didn't see before! ---Thanks for sharing this video with us!!!

  • Ditto.

  • I wish they still made bikes like this.

  • I wish I could find one in a barn.

  • i heard that! i can find in barns is horse, cow, and pig......shit!

  • amazing such an old motorcycle still runs, especially in unrestored condition...

  • Yes, the owner replaced the tires, and rode it onto the field. It's a great bike!

  • beautiful bike, does it drive?

  • wow

  • Beautiful machine.

  • Thanks... the owner plans to keep it as found.

  • 4 bhp? nice bike... cool

  • keep that bad boy original for sure

  • I agree with those who say "never restore this bike". Man, what a nachine.

I would like to find an antique like this.

  • As long as it took to shut down, makes me wonder what the compression is. Amazing to hear this run. Great vid.

  • wow

  • yea they must be good quality still runs

  • INDIAN - kicking Harley ass since 1908 ......

  • @1947Chief

if Indian is kicking harleys ass then why do you see way more harleys on the road then indians?

  • I was at this show and the guy drove this bike in and parked it without dumping it on the wet grass it has a very funny driving stance and it looks like you have very little control of this bike

  • I had one of these and it didn't half stink of curry.

  • my grandpa has a beaser bantam from about 20/30 years ago and I will go on the back of it one day and I am only 9

  • 9 is a great time to start. Enjoy!

  • @Woodyf650 so what ? want a prize ??

  • @Woodyf650 Who said i was talking to you ! A bit strange

  • Harley tried,,Indian WON !!! Respects to both but eh,,wah hoo bubba !!!

  • Wonderfull piece of art!

  • A great piece of history and still running nice

  • 97 years old and it still runs that good.wonder how a 2008 Harley will run in 2105?Hopfuly it will at all. :)

  • A Harley today probably wouldn't make 50 years!

  • That's clever how they made a hidden, in-handlebar throttle back then!!

  • Awesome! My Grandfather had a 53 Indian Chief!

  • At first I thought this was a still picture and a motor sound. Good thing I watched the rest.

  • It's exceelent to see people taking care of vintage motorcycles... Don't ever restore it! =)

  • you can hear the strokes of the motor and the firing in the cylinder 1/4

  • Awesome. Great to hear these old girls running. I sure hope it's never restored. What a shame to cover up all that original finish.

  • Thats amazing... i wouldn't think it would even like turn over or get even close to starting lol

  • i hope it NEVER gets restored....fantastic just the way it is

  • great job!

  • wow i cant believe it . how many 1911 indians still run? it will only be unrestoed once . VERY COOOL

  • Look at that pushrod go! That's my first look at an F-Head running, thanks...

  • 1911, just a bit more than 10 years since the invention of the combustion engine motorcycle.

  • You don't see something like that everyday...Great post!

  • This is a common sight during events held by The Antique Motorcycle Club of America.

  • 1911!! yeah yeah yeah! how sweet it is!!!
