@indarkened ever heard of the Powerglide tranny? one of the most famous, best performance transmissions that nearly all pro street cars use... its an auto. you say it drives us closer to being perfect at shifting.. the answer is an auto transmission haha. not to mention they have nearly half the maintenance of a manual tranny
@person3213 Yeah that would be important if you were getting payed a lot to drag race ur automatic TA. But if you want to actually have fun and not just push a pedal, you should probably get a real transmission.
The TA is about ten years old first off. Secondly, you have to mod the colbalt to make it faster than the TA. I doubt it could be done. The Trans Am is the benchmark, and the car you all want to compare to, and again this car is ten years old if not older...

i have a 383 stroker in my s10. im pushin almost 650 horse out of that thing, its fast i also have a 39' coupe with the same motor that is pushing 920 without the supercharger on. i can run in the high 7's with the air on
@4wheeler14 That's not up and down shifting.. Anyone who has the common sense to understand how a Torque converter , or an automatic transmission in general works would notice that.
A converter with a stall as high as 3,500 is practically free revving until it locks up. They'll move enough trans. fluid to lope along at 2,000 RPM in the city, but won't lock up and really get going until nearly 4 grand, which is great for cutting 60' times, and overall performance.
okay if anybody would help i have a trans am wen i got it the rear end was spinning both tires and it went out cause it was the original rear end my car has 140,000 miles still run strong and got a rearend from a camaro ss now i got a one tire fire what can i do?
@goyogarcia08 you need a new rear end your old one was a posi (both wheels spin) and now you have a non posi (one tire spins) sorry but you need to replace it

this is my video. my trans am was sold : ( i got the new 2009 turbo cobalt ss. i miss the t.a but i like the new car. ITS FAST AS HELL. it would have killed my t.a . i ran the trans am like 10 times and the best i got out of it was 12.3 at 113. it was auto with a 3500 vig stall converter. exhaust and intake lid and mild tune.
You do know that there are regular SS cobalts with a N/A 2.4, there are also 2.0 S/C SS's as well. Then the new ones are turbo charged and set a production FWD record at the nurburgring.

An 08 Mustang GT isn't exactly slow but it's not the fastest thing in the world. I pulled on an Sn197 Gt from a 70 roll in my S2000 which only has a CAI. The Mustang had a nice exhaust at the very least. It was loud as hell I thought for sure I was gonna get stomped. But nope, I didn't. Ive also raced my buddies WS6 with just a K&N drop in and an exhaust and he pulled me. Sorry buddy, the WS6 is a little bit faster.
well I havent lost to one yet. I guess it just depends who the drive is. I can get 0-60 in 4.3 and my buddy drove my car and he got it in 5.2 so i guess its really the driver. Im running 384.18 rwhp and 391.84 rwtq which is dyno proven
Well if your car has 384 rwhp than your car is not even close to being stock. And you can mod an LS1 just like you can a mod motor. Stock vs Stock, an Ls1 f-body will walk all over a SN95 or SN197 GT.

Less traffic means a hell of alot more safety. To you and to the civilians just driving around. And around here after 2AM the highways are completely empty. Which means plenty of room to run and have fun with little or no risk to others. Yeah, cops do expect racing to be done at night but if you're careful, you can get away with alot at night.

say whatever you want i just bought an lt4 camaro from muscle motors. i actually luv the shit outta it so i retract my previous statement. but it has roughly 400 hp. itll only just beat my s5. but the audi isnt just fast. its amazing in every way. i do luv my lt4 though. its sick! so sorry i was an ass. but to me these video didnt seem very fast. but the muscle car experience in general is awesome. i just bought a nice phone. ill upload some races later for you

First goes up to 43 second goes to 65 third goes to 101 fourth goes to 137 and i dont know what fifth tops out at well at least mine does, and I guarentee my 08 mustang gt is not slow. 0-60 in 4.5........I really dont think thats slow

An 08 Mustang GT isn't exactly slow but it's not the fastest thing in the world. I pulled on an Sn197 Gt from a 70 roll in my S2000 which only has a CAI. The Mustang had a nice exhaust at the very least. It was loud as hell I thought for sure I was gonna get stomped. But nope, I didn't. Ive also raced my buddies WS6 with just a K&N drop in and an exhaust and he pulled me. Sorry buddy, the WS6 is a little bit faster.

well I havent lost to one yet. I guess it just depends who the drive is. I can get 0-60 in 4.3 and my buddy drove my car and he got it in 5.2 so i guess its really the driver. Im running 384.18 rwhp and 391.84 rwtq which is dyno proven

Well if your car has 384 rwhp than your car is not even close to being stock. And you can mod an LS1 just like you can a mod motor. Stock vs Stock, an Ls1 f-body will walk all over a SN95 or SN197 GT.

Why at night? I say daytime is better cause cops know how to hide at night and they usually don't expect racing as much during the day.

Less traffic means a hell of alot more safety. To you and to the civilians just driving around. And around here after 2AM the highways are completely empty. Which means plenty of room to run and have fun with little or no risk to others. Yeah, cops do expect racing to be done at night but if you're careful, you can get away with alot at night.
