Russian Kremlin's puppets, stop lying about Ukraininan history. The true, objective history of Ukraine may only be written in Ukraine, not in Kremlin. We understand that you are homesick for Soviet Era, but fortunatelly it's over and still you're planning another invasion of Ukraine. It is obvious by seeing your anti-Ukrainian activity and efforts to influence the people using your false propaganda.
@ChuprynkaN You really shouldn't let your own propaganda blind you to the point where you don't question things. This video is just exploring the possibilities of what happened. I understand you've probably been brainwashed by your parents or something, but you should really open your mind.
All I know is Pro-Russian or Pro-Western..its for the country itself to decide. An why does NATO still exist if the true goal now should be to get along with every nation including Russia? It's just sad how all this hate is what we continue to teach our children now...This world hasn't changed one bit. I guess we really can't be mature and get along without being bullies to eachother. ah well millions of Russians lost there lives fighting for the Crimea from UK,Turkey,France Austrian Hugarian empire. You guys ran into Russia when Nazi Germany took your ass over. There 11,500,000 speaking Russians In Ukraine 7 million alone in Crimean Penisula so Just end it This is A crock that Kruschev who was part Ukranian Had a Summer home in the Crimea and Transferred it to you guys cause he was part Ukranian this is not just your land Ukraine its Russias to!!!!!!!!!!

The spirit of Orange Revolution was good and will live forever in this country. We'll continue to struggle for the orange-ideals... The problem was the executives of this revolution - that's the main problem... Not the revolution or it's ideals! ... It was in the wrong hands.... Hopefully we'll get greater politicians in the future who will manage to achieve the goals of Orange revolution.
RT has SO MUCH coverage of ukraine's election. ukraine is a nation of 40 million people with a per capita gdp of less than $4000/year. on the edge of europe its only real significance is that it can block passage of natural gas from russia to europe. why is RT wasting so much time on the election? it seems that the amount of time RT is devoting to ukraine election is WAY OUT of proportion with ukraine's relevance/significance to the world
Ukraine is important for Russia. Because ruining Ukraine in last 5 years PHYSICALLY has influence on Russia. Because we are main trade partners and have fabrics, technology, which worked together many years before. US puppet Ushenko, ruining Ukrainian producers, ruined Russian also, because it has strong connection. This is how american terrorist empire is acting.
But not only economic. 5 years the nationalistic (former fascists became "heroes") propaganda also created problems for Russia.
You are wrong that is like saying my country Japan would be try to be independent from the American influence, and become more pro-asia. Ukrainians ultimately choose there own path, and the pro-western model failed them, so of course they would try to be a better neighbor in the countries surround Ukraine. Ultimately the Anglo Suckson Trash can stay out of Eastern Europe for all i care.
Typical American right winger you are, the pro western model also leads to a rise in Fascism, i saw the video, of the former president congratulating people who fraught with the Nazis, in my mind that is unacceptable. EU they very well get in NATO not in the near future.
Soviet tyranny my ass. The only way you would know how they lived is that you would have lived there yourself and I doubt you did. It wasn't tyranny, yes there were flaws but The US have flaws too. All in all, don't say something without having a reliable source.
From an etymological viewpoint, this is of course entirely correct.
In the world of 'adversarial' realpolitik, however, this is a completely kookish postulation.
Constitutional rights are rather tenuous, at best. One needs only to look to the USA for an example of easily these can be taken away. Handing over control of a nation's economy for such a guilded illusion is a rather drunken gamble.
This is the dumbest thing I have heard do you seriously think that Russia still wants an "empire" come on. Puppet please puppet for what . What can Ukraine do to help Russia for their empire. Nothing, because Ukraine is a third world country and they don't have the power to change anything. Look I am Ukrainian and I think that what they did to Russia is unforgivable.
Orange Revolution is in ruins, just like the cuban revolution, but at least the cuban revolution was not a pro-usa revolution and have some achievements
Ukraine is a fiction - you're foreign policy is dictated from Brussels and Washington D.C. and your media and politics are bought and sold by a few non-Ukrainian (mostly Jewish) oligarchs. Get over it.
Who do you think runs Russia dummy? 33 billionaires in Moscow and you expect any logical person to believe they attained that wealth through fair game? Corrupt and nasty country it is, with as much jewish influence as any other country in the world, probably even more so, as 6 of the 7 major oligarchs at the collapse of the Soviet Union were Jewish.
Youre a hypocrite and a propaganda party of Russias propaganda machine. Russia is a polluted swamp, blessed is Ukraine if it stays away from it.
West and North Ukraine are mostly pro west while East and South Ukraine is very much pro Russia. Many(not all) people in these parts would rather go back to the Soviet ways then what has happened since the collapse of the Soviet Union. It would not surprise me if Natalya Vitrenko gets involved with the help of Putin and his KGB pals. She is definately for the old Soviet Union and hates the U.S. and NATO.
What the citizens of Ukraine can't seem to realize is that all these so called "candidates" are just pawns of reality, and at the first sight of chaos powers much higher are going to take the matter into their own hands and are going to twist the result to their will. Also I don't understand why Ukrainians hate Russians so much. It's the same people torn apart buy time.
NATO is the only imperialistic trash you idiot, Tymoshenko ??? OK she didnt win anyways. what do you know about Ukraine your a Yank , You dont even have historical and cultural connection with Ukraine
LOL at calling others deluded. You should never do that. That's being closed minded. You have your opinions and we have ours. Thinking you're superior only puts you at a disadvantage in life. It will teach you more about wisdom to be less staunch on political ideologies and more on virtues.
Of course they doubled their prices. why shouldn't they? Since the soviet union broke down, Russia has been giving Ukraine gas at low prices because Ukraine was tight with them. But when Ukraine spit in the face of Russia and decided that they want to be in the European union and not have any relationship with Russia. I don't see why Russia could not do that.
Doubling prices is fine over a period of time. Or maybe even during the summer. But doubling them during the winter is like economic sanctions/holodomor. "You can only be friends with Russia or we will hurt you." That's not a good to do, I think. Ukraine has always been friends with Russia but Russia being a bully makes Ukrainians dislike them more and more.
LOL uninformed fools. Russia proposed low price to Ukraine at january 2009. BUT Naftohaz refused (because of Ushenko). So if they refused, Russia proposed normal price and slow movement to European price.
Russia even payed rent for transit on next year, to give money for Ukraine.
But your media NEVER informs you about these nuances. It's just imaging Russia as "evil oppressor" of "democratic neighbours". Typical western propaganda, what should we expect. People are brainwashed by lies.
It's true. Our media is ridiculous. I was in Ukraine while this happened, though. The price change was NOT slow. It was fierce and undeserved. Ukraine's government has been foolish at times towards Russia especially but not to the extent to deserve this. And instead of calling people brainwashed you should consider that perhaps we are not fools or uninformed. If you have good sources share them! I would love to learn more.
Please so not show ignorance, research the long history of the gas trade negotiations and the much lower than market price even the new price represented. The end user price was increased a lot more than the wholesale price was increased primarily due to corruption at the highest levels in Ukraine government.
I am an American who lives in Russia but spends a lot of time in Ukraine and know the history and watched it unfold over time.
It appears that the people in Ukraine decided that a "free market" style democracy was not the way to go and will now most likely fall under the influence of Russia and their more stringent "controlled" democracy(U.S. is not much better right now). I am trying to figure out if this decision was more of a failure of the west or a nostalgia for the past(in regards to being within the U.S.S.R)
I am afraid you are using buzz words and opinions that are no close to reality. Free market in the west means corporate control of public policy, the economy and government. Sadly that is the case now, and just the opposite it Russia, it might be a little too free market right now because it needs more careful regulation. I am a business owner in Russia, and an American and see more economic democracy and opportunities in Russia at this time than in the US. Ukraine would do well to be neutral.
Unfortunately since the O.R, Ukraine has drifted into chaos of control in government and corruption has gotten much worse. Ukrainians are smart, hard working and loyal, and many of them are ethnic Russians. They all deserve better than what was dealt to them by western influences that sold them down the river. Russia and Ukraine are natural trading partners and the election will likely improve the quality of life for most Ukrainians. Russia has seen dramatic improvements in quality of life.
"if politicans can't keep half of their promises then people can hold them accountable" - funny that hasn't happend with the Obama adminstration yet...Looks like Ukraine is more advanced then the so called 'civilized' US.
People, brainwashed by "beautiful words" and "external threat" are realising that everything that was with them in these years - a farce, show, artificial script. They were USED by political technologies, in geopolitical purposes of american terrorist empire.
He is one of our bitter enemies... even more so that i speak for the Slovak nation. Soros funds through dirty money laundring all pro-american politicalparties through countries in Central and Eastern Europe. Recently here in Slovakia a main opposition political party (pro-american) called SDKU has been found for laundering his money.
People in Ukraine have now woken up to the reality of this False Revolution. Countries that have given up their soveriegnty in return for US/Euro enslavement are indeed the losers. Look at Greece, Iceland, Spain, Turkey etc. This is because US is an Empire on its downhill phase and when it goes down so will all its puppets. Russia,China, Iran, Venezuela, Brazil are the emerging Economic/Political regional powers.
It is sad that the revolution was false; it would be good for Ukraine to lose the influence of both Russia and the United States but that is an impossibility. I am of the opinion that the US is using Ukraine to keep Russia in check and Russia desires to hold influence in Ukraine to keep East Europe a safe distance from Moscow. In my opinion, Ukraine is the puppet... it is just a question of whose puppet they are.
While Ukraine may be a means to hold NATO as far away from Russia as possible, however the value of Ukraine in Russian eyes goes far beyond that. Ukraine have lots of Industrial facilities that Russian companies could get ahold of for manufacture of spare parts for military hardware. Russia have export problems with weapons for a lackof good service support and spare parts. Another thing is Russian future carriers. Ukraine have huge ship building capacities for Russian navy.
Well put Flanky. I agree that the Russians find Ukraine to be a much more useful pawn in their hands than do the Americans; I just find it sad that they have to be a pawn at all.
Well a pawn. Consider this: When soviet union was teared into smaller countries.... it was as if you would cut off all major parts of human body. hands, legs, head and them cut off even more smaller pieces like fingers, ears, nose. Thats what happened. Now Russia is tryong to re-unite under the CIS and Shanghai Cooperation Organisation all thoose "parts" back into one "body". You can't really say that Ukraine was a pawn to Russia, neither is Belarus as they have its ups and downs with Russia.
As far as the other countries mentioned... Venezuela has too many infrastructure (energy) problems and Chavez is in danger of losing his people. Brazil is in a much better position. China will suffer through too much political and economical turmoil; the geopolitical lines exploited by Mao will come to a head again. Iran is only of importance at this time because of their unpredictability; Turkey is a more likely candidate for power in that region.
Venezuela is not the richest country in Latin America, it has all the prospects to become one..... Exporting energiesfor the continent. However Chavez hasa problem. That is Columbia and USA in Columbia. They are after Chavez cozhe might trigger a sort of anti-american hate in LA countries. So USA through open blabla foundations, mercenaries and others are causing as much damage to Venezuela as possible to throw Chavez off his chair and get there some US puppet like in Honduras.
Agreed. I don't see Venezuela reaching a place of power, but I'm quite aware that the reason will lie mostly with the US. When I heard of the protests in Venezuela, it seemed to smell of CIA involvement. I also don't think they could fuel economic growth by relying on the export of petroleum; they don't have the kind of influence over their buyers as does Russia. The future for energy will likely be coming from space and oil dependent countries will be the poorer for it.
Well when it comes to energy export the thing is... Venezuela is missing cruical infrastructure. But when Russian companies comes to play within 10 years Venezuela might be the Russia of Latin America. You know no matter what happens you need energies like oil and gas for everyday life.

NATO is the only imperialistic trash you idiot, Tymoshenko ??? OK she didnt win anyways. what do you know about Ukraine your a Yank , You dont even have historical and cultural connection with Ukraine
you deluded idiot
RussianDefender100 1 year ago 2
LOL at calling others deluded. You should never do that. That's being closed minded. You have your opinions and we have ours. Thinking you're superior only puts you at a disadvantage in life. It will teach you more about wisdom to be less staunch on political ideologies and more on virtues.
angelmarauder 1 year ago
One more thing Ukrainains do not want to join NATO moron, one of the reasons for your failed Yuschenko had 3% approval on his last terms. LOL
RussianDefender100 1 year ago 2
Exactly. Why couldn't Ukraine pay for their gas? Because the freaking Russians doubled the prices.
angelmarauder 1 year ago
@angelmarauder
Russia give Ukraine gas much less than they give to western europe.
dusq123 1 year ago
Of course they doubled their prices. why shouldn't they? Since the soviet union broke down, Russia has been giving Ukraine gas at low prices because Ukraine was tight with them. But when Ukraine spit in the face of Russia and decided that they want to be in the European union and not have any relationship with Russia. I don't see why Russia could not do that.
theprodigiousmonkey 1 year ago
Doubling prices is fine over a period of time. Or maybe even during the summer. But doubling them during the winter is like economic sanctions/holodomor. "You can only be friends with Russia or we will hurt you." That's not a good to do, I think. Ukraine has always been friends with Russia but Russia being a bully makes Ukrainians dislike them more and more.
angelmarauder 1 year ago
LOL uninformed fools. Russia proposed low price to Ukraine at january 2009. BUT Naftohaz refused (because of Ushenko). So if they refused, Russia proposed normal price and slow movement to European price.
Russia even payed rent for transit on next year, to give money for Ukraine.
But your media NEVER informs you about these nuances. It's just imaging Russia as "evil oppressor" of "democratic neighbours". Typical western propaganda, what should we expect. People are brainwashed by lies.
igorvasilevsky 1 year ago
I would love to learn more.
angelmarauder 1 year ago
Please so not show ignorance, research the long history of the gas trade negotiations and the much lower than market price even the new price represented. The end user price was increased a lot more than the wholesale price was increased primarily due to corruption at the highest levels in Ukraine government.
I am an American who lives in Russia but spends a lot of time in Ukraine and know the history and watched it unfold over time.

And where should I research this hmmm? I'd love to have some different sources.

They are pawns of different groups. But so are all bad politicians (i.e. the majority of freaking zhe politicians.)

The problem is that they are fighting over principals and ideals rather than improving peoples lives.
Проблема в том, что они борются за принципы и идеалы, а не за улучшение жизни людей.

Principals and ideals have led all revolutions. Improving life takes blood and sweat and sacrifice. Hopefully they come together.

Neil, how can the yanks not like the result?
Yanukovych paid for the services of Paul Manafort. Remember, the advisor who worked with John McCain during the failed 2008 election?
The fact that an American helped Yanukovych's image can not be denied!

MissileD11 1 year ago
I am afraid you are using buzz words and opinions that are no close to reality. Free market in the west means corporate control of public policy, the economy and government. Sadly that is the case now, and just the opposite it Russia, it might be a little too free market right now because it needs more careful regulation. I am a business owner in Russia, and an American and see more economic democracy and opportunities in Russia at this time than in the US. Ukraine would do well to be neutral.
km6xz 1 year ago
Unfortunately since the O.R, Ukraine has drifted into chaos of control in government and corruption has gotten much worse. Ukrainians are smart, hard working and loyal, and many of them are ethnic Russians. They all deserve better than what was dealt to them by western influences that sold them down the river. Russia and Ukraine are natural trading partners and the election will likely improve the quality of life for most Ukrainians. Russia has seen dramatic improvements in quality of life.

US/UK "projects" have the same result in the end:
People, brainwashed by "beautiful words" and "external threat" are realising that everything that was with them in these years - a farce, show, artificial script. They were USED by political technologies, in geopolitical purposes of american terrorist empire.

George Soros/CIA/NATO Funded Revolution.

DodgeVip3r 1 year ago 2
It is sad that the revolution was false; it would be good for Ukraine to lose the influence of both Russia and the United States but that is an impossibility. I am of the opinion that the US is using Ukraine to keep Russia in check and Russia desires to hold influence in Ukraine to keep East Europe a safe distance from Moscow. In my opinion, Ukraine is the puppet... it is just a question of whose puppet they are.
scotti81 1 year ago
While Ukraine may be a means to hold NATO as far away from Russia as possible, however the value of Ukraine in Russian eyes goes far beyond that. Ukraine have lots of Industrial facilities that Russian companies could get ahold of for manufacture of spare parts for military hardware. Russia have export problems with weapons for a lackof good service support and spare parts. Another thing is Russian future carriers. Ukraine have huge ship building capacities for Russian navy.
Flankymanga 1 year ago
Well put Flanky. I agree that the Russians find Ukraine to be a much more useful pawn in their hands than do the Americans; I just find it sad that they have to be a pawn at all.
scotti81 1 year ago

Iran is only of importance at this time because of their unpredictability; Turkey is a more likely candidate for power in that region.
scotti81 1 year ago
Venezuela is not the richest country in Latin America, it has all the prospects to become one..... Exporting energiesfor the continent. However Chavez hasa problem. That is Columbia and USA in Columbia. They are after Chavez cozhe might trigger a sort of anti-american hate in LA countries. So USA through open blabla foundations, mercenaries and others are causing as much damage to Venezuela as possible to throw Chavez off his chair and get there some US puppet like in Honduras.
Flankymanga 1 year ago 2
The future for energy will likely be coming from space and oil dependent countries will be the poorer for it.
scotti81 1 year ago
Well when it comes to energy export the thing is... Venezuela is missing cruical infrastructure. But when Russian companies comes to play within 10 years Venezuela might be the Russia of Latin America. You know no matter what happens you need energies like oil and gas for everyday life.
