What Michael Jackson's death did to me was revive my interest in his music. I was a huge fan in the 80s, then throughout the years I listened to him on and off, forgot about him for a while, there is more to life than Michael Jackson, and when he died I started listening to his music again and relived the mania. I have to disagree that he only did a few hit singles. He was way more talented than that.

This country is going to hell if people feel the need to take a day off for every time a performer/musician dies. Michael Jackson's death was tragic, yes, but is it really that traumatizing when someone you never knew personally passes on? I mean to pay respects to him and give condolences to his family for a couple minutes or hours is all well and good, but taking a day off work or school or whatever is just too much.

this was really good. It is the reaction of a guy that wasn't necessarily a fan but comes across as pretty objective. I agree that the media is run by a bunch of hypocritical assholes. The 180 degree change in attitude to MJ when he died came across as completely fake and phony. I actually did lose interest in MJ in the late 90s but I got it back after songs like "break of dawn" and "one more chance". I was actually holding my breath for new material. His demise truly is a tragedy. Nice video!!!

What Michael Jackson's death did to me was revive my interest in his music. I was a huge fan in the 80s, then throughout the years I listened to him on and off, forgot about him for a while, there is more to life than Michael Jackson, and when he died I started listening to his music again and relived the mania. I have to disagree that he only did a few hit singles. He was way more talented than that.
