  • could someone please explain what happened in his life? I haven't heard this album yet, too busy and obsessing about Foiled and Approaching Normal atm, but I fin Justin very interesting, so could someone please tell me?

  • I did what you did. I went for help.

  • it never ceases to amaze me how justin goes through hell but manages to speak his mind through beautifully written and sung lyrics and music ♥ . one amazing man right there .. :)

  • Good luck Justin. I am proud of you for speaking up. the press seriously sucks!!!!!!

  • .3. why are everyone's comments paragraphs XD

  • It is sad that any child has to go through the poison of divorce but 2 parents that stay together "for the kids" is just as bad...so don't judge! He tells my story but in reverse...my ex never wanted my son until I asked him for more child support! Now he makes my life hell and says horrible things about me to my 6 year old son! So mother's can get screwed and pulled through the system as well!

  • @treefrog0721 true. same thing happened to me. the courts dont always go by what the women say. Anyn man or woman in america can get screwed. I did, many other mothers and fathers did too. All we want is to be able to see our children , is that such a crime? toom uch to ask for from spiteful hateful parents who don't see that the real vicitim here are the children. I try to keep the peace between me and my ex but its hard to just keep my mouth shut when I'm getting accused of things.

  • I hate that Justin is having to go through all of this. Divorce is never easy on anyone, especially when they are nasty divorces that drain you emotionally as well as financially. Not everyone gets the luxury of two mature people actually trying to be civil for the sake of the kids. . Because in the end, that is all that matters, being there for the children. I hope things work out for him and that soon things will turn for the better and he an have the relationship he wants with his daughter.

  • @Mystic1Woman very true. the children do matter. and yes divorce is never easy on anyone. and i hate that anyone would have to go thru this. wether is is some one famous or not. it sucks for anyone and everyone who is in the situation. especially the kids. it effects the chilldren the most. thats who im most sad for. ive gone thru hell for my son and would go thru it again and again for him. all i want is to spare ourt children the pain. but it doesnt always turn out that way.

  • I am divorced but I am fortunate in that my X & I realize it's about our children and what they need, & we have a pretty good communication, I'm not sure if or what lies are being told in Justins case, or what he did or didn't do but it is awful to have one's past brought up to dictate their future. People can and have changed. I truly do hope for Justin that an agreement can be made that will make everyone involved happy. Good Luck Justin! Good Luck to all others in this situation.

  • Wow...How can a woman put a man through this..when people agree to disagree and divorce, that is their adult choice...but why think he has to divorce his daughter? when me and my ex divorced we made a deal that the kids would not go through anymore drama that the divorced had already caused...it to me is greedy on any parent (mom or dad) to feel they should keep a child from the other parent, considering it took two to make the beautiful child...not just one...

  • Stay strong brother!! You inspire so many people with your poetry and song. The soundtrack to my teenage years is Blue October!! A devoted fan for twelve years now!! And i think i can speak for most of is when i say.....thank you for just "being!!"

  • his story and the truth he is going through is sooo heartbreaking....your such a strong person....GOD how he inspiers me daily!

  • @OfficialBlueOctober Thanks for your words of encouragement. God is good! BTW I like your page. Godbless and take care.

  • @OfficialBlueOctober I'm sorry. These things shouldn't happen, as many other things shouldn't. Some people only seek to harm others. This world is so wrong. These things inspired to write a lot, lot of poems, lots of songs. My life hasn't been easy... too much crap. I've been through everything, I mean, everything anyone can think of. I only found happiness in my children. I have the faith that at the end God will take me before I try to hurt myself again. Thanks for the reply. Godbless!

  • I will never understand why the judicial system rakes fathers over the coals. I am so sorry for what Justin has been through. And glad I didn't do that to my ex-husband and our kids.

  • SAD :( But Strong as Hell, Start Over and Keep Doing What You do... You still have Your FANS!!!! and WE FUCKING LOVE YOU!!!!!!!

  • I can relate to a certain point. When my wife separated from me for 3 months, she wanted to take everything away from me, even my two children. It hurt me so much, so much, I'm still dealing with the pain. I'm back with her but I don't completely trust her. Although, I want my relationship with her to work. Thank you Justin for opening up your heart, as always. I find shelter in your words. I needed this album.

  • Awesome bravery to be willing and able to let a record label (or anyone who is supposed to be a "support" in one's life) go. Blue October is big enough and strong enough to not let this be an unachievable obstacle. The album is wonderful, heart-wrenching, inspirational, exhausting - everything. As a parent (with a disability, which has made those around me question my right and ability to do so), my whole body and soul was caught up in this album.

  • I FKN LOVE YOU!!!

  • Team Edward? Team Jacob? Screw that noise! I'm on team Justin! Hang in there Brother. My heart goes out to you and my prayers are with you all the time man. No man can slug EVERY curve ball out of the park but you've inspired millions (myself included) and the reality you bring to music is gonna continue to rock people. Keep on keepin on man!

  • =( Poor Justin. My heart goes out to him, he's a truly amazing man. I hope he gets to be the father his daughter deserves.

  • PS! If you live in Minneapolis, they are playing the Fine Line Music Cafe, not the Myth :D I love Blue October. My heart goes out to Justin, and his broken family. I can never understand why women do such things. I have a friend going thru the same BS and it breaks my heart. Brightest blessings, peace and love.

  • I find it funny that people are just saying "I can't wait for the new album" and ignoring what this man has been through. My parents are divorced and it sucks. So Justin so respect. This interview isn't about his damn album.

  • @Mrsocky42 I was on both sides...I was happy there was a new album yet I felt horrible about what was happening to him. He's helped through some tuff times with their music so much so that I feel as though I know him yet we've never met. I have the new album and it tells a lot about what went on...even has real life recordings of what his ex said and his daughter...My heart goes out to him as do my prayers. My parents divorced when I was about 5...it's not easy on anyone..

  • your amazing justin! cant wait to buy the album in an hour =D

  • Justin was accused of being dangerous because of song lyrics that he wrote 4 years before he even met his wife and she tried to use them against him. He has been through a lot and lost almost everything. The band made their own record label. I think it's a miracle that even after all Jusitn has been through, he has still managed to release a 6th studio album (not including the first two he released in when in the band The Last Wish) My prayers go to him. Blue October rocks.

  • My family went through a divorce too, sad as it is, it's what inspired my song writing, and I draw a lot of inspiration from Blue October as well, and I'm glad that Justin is trying to reach out in spend time with his daughter in the midst of legal battles that can fuck your family up.

  • He's being honest and that's what makes him great. Everyone is dealing with custody battles all over in America and I hate that people can't just mind their own business and leave him alone. Everyone makes mistakes in life. Damn paparazzi!

  • Isn't being a "constant presence" being a father? yikes

  • Love the interview! But one error...they released another album since Approaching Normal called The Ugly Side; its a live acoustic album and is one of the best (a must have for any fan)!!

  • @no1bluefan The Ugly Side is a live album not a studio album! Thats why they said that.

  • Thanks for the interview. I'm counting down the days until ANY MAN IN AMERICA releases!

  • Blue October=Genius

  • that's crazy

hmmm maybe this is what dirt room is about

    ...just a thought

  • First bitchesssssss.
