What? Fighting Lightning. Now, I haven't completed the game yet, but I thought lightning was trapped in valhalla. So, is this lightning we fight some sort of imposter/copy, or has it got something to do with the paradox? I'm so confused.
Reason why I don't like FF13, relationships. They straight up break up, kiss, argue, hug, etc. I mean, FF7 had some relationships but they weren't so direct for it. FF13 and 13-2 are the biggest chick flicks in the entire series. The song and the outfits don't help either.

The costume bits are useless and ugly; this I do not support. The Omega battle is a move in the right direction if Omega is once again as hard as shit. I'm still not fond of the concept of DLC, as I see it as another excuse to wring money from our cold, cashless, lifeless bodies. That and it shows that they could have included something when it was released instead of making you pay separately. The remakes of FF & FFII included all kinds of extra bits that were built into the game.
Hey i got a question: Will the DLC be region free? I have an xbox with a Japanese account, I was hoping to pre-order the game for the DLC of serah costume and genji bow on Gamestop or maybe the Omega boss battle if pre-order on amazon..But since i have a Jap account, I'm worried that the code of the DLC will be invalid.

In certain battles, not only did you need to heal up, but you needed to know certain characters weaknesses, how to stagger them quickly, how to buff up quickly to suit your needs and debuff enemies. This needed to be done for a considerable amount of battles even outside the main bosses. Just because it didn't require strategy from you doesn't mean the game isn't strategic. Most people will debate that it was, even if they hated the game.

I completed the game only dying twice and they were both because I stopped paying attention to my health in a boss fight.
Strategy is a plan - a method of how to go about attacking etc...FF 13 didn't require that apart from for specific enemies who could only be killed easily in one way. So no, it didn't require strategy

It was far less hectic than XIII and XIII-2, and it allowed you to strategize more. It allowed you to actually try something different in the middle of a fight, rather than XIII's "go in, die, look at a walkthrough, then kill it" approach. Of course, ATB with a pause option is also a possibility I wouldn't reject.

@xtrem3rd No let's hope not. We've seen some gameplay footage, and little bits keep getting leaked here and there. One of the main delays is the transfer of engines from the crystal to the luminosity engines (or whatever they're called). But it's being developed by the Kingdom Hearts team, and they always make great games, so even if we have to wait another year it'll definitely be a game worth playing
@Simmsville I do hope that they make the gameplay a bit more action-based, something like Devil May Cry with a Final Fantasy flair. That's just me, though.
@xtrem3rd From what I've read/heard/can remember the combat and gameplay is supposed to be pretty much an exact replica of Kingdom Heart's (hence why the team is the same) so enemies just spawn anywhere and you can take them down without entering a battle screen. Great costumes, but I don't know how I feel about Serah showing all that skin in that bikini costume. I just don't see her that way and it feels kinda awkward to see the sweet and innocent Serah from the original transform to this. @taq85 It's because the game is actually finished, in all territories (including US/EU) and because of the age old problem of translation that's why it takes a little bit longer to come out in those places. If this wasn't posted about on the internet, you wouldn't even know of its existence, and therefore wouldn't think the game was 'cutting stuff out' when you bought it. It's all extra stuff, no one is forcing you to get it, you will though because you want something to complain about

I love all three costumes!!!
Although, the first costumes look nothing like the ones that were announced so far (the Assassin's Creed costume for Noel and the... other one for Sarah.) I guess those costumes are coming later.
Hurry up January 31st and get here!!!! And bring this glorious DLC with you!!!

Great costumes, but I don't know how I feel about Serah showing all that skin in that bikini costume. I just don't see her that way and it feels kinda awkward to see the sweet and innocent Serah from the original transform to this. But I can't complain because it's DLC so I just won't download it haha

@kingyleon IT IS! :D Yes! Epic battle time. I used an English to Japanese translator to translate 'Omega' which matches the name above the stagger bar. It also looks like they're getting the Omega DLC on 12-22. Man, this is exciting!
