how does this car drive on snow?? I'm looking to buy a used one but i live in Quebec and i'm a little worried that all this power will be of a disadvantage in snow given that it's FWD..please answer
No one can disrespect the TL-S. There is nothing to disrespect but FWD. Not the best but hey, it looses a lot less to the wheels. It looks amazing, the engine sounds amazing, its quick, and luxurious. Really cant get better, and you can get em now between 16-20k. Its just a perfect car.

Well, the Acura TL does a great job with dealing with torque steer, but it's still there. It's noticeable when you accelerate while turning. The RWD cars don't have a problem with that.
I have to agree with most of the folks here. Acuras are solid rock. The style and handling is amazing. I have been driving acuras for more than 12 year including 4 legends and 2 TL and currently own a TL.
BMW's are highly overrated. The exterior does not look bad but the interior sucks. BMW interiors looks like yogo. The handling is not very impresive unless you are willing to spend tons of money on a M3. Even, M3's interior looks like crap.
the x5 is not in the same class as the tl compare it to the mdx. i actually like the x5 interrior even the older ones. they look classy. but the bmw cars 3,5,7 series all look old and dated interior wise

I tested a 328i Sport. When I stepped into the car, I felt like I was in a Go-Kart. The interior was cheap and the driving experience unimpressive. The steering was way too stiff, and the ride too rough.
I then drove the more refined 530i Sport which lacked power and again bland interior and uncomfortable seats.
We then drove the 07 TL Type S. This car IMO is clearly superior in terms of features, refinement, and driving experience.
its a great idea to make them in rwd for performance but u gotta remember that us in the northern states or in climates that get snow, cause rwd is horrible in the snow. trust me drove a gto on there barley was any on the ground and the traction control would take over an u wouldnt even have the accelerator down...theres gotta be a market for everyone and i think this is what they are trying to do.
i think that if they make the TL s coupe and incorporate rear wheel drive that the TL will really be some bad ass competition for those g35 coupes out there.The G35 coupe has one of the best looking exteriors but has a piece of shit interior. Idiots this car is still cheaper than a G35 and BMW 3 series when you compare apples to apples. Put Nav system, bluetooth, HID lights, heated seats, surround sound, etc and you're up to 41k in the G35 and 45k for a Beamer. Meanwhile every reviewer seems to forget that and claim the Acura is overpriced.
Overpriced? If you know about the electronical problems that are haunting BMW, you wouldn't even think BMW deserves money. Germans are so unreliable, it's not even funny. I used to own one, so I know.
G35 is good, but if you want a good reliable car that balances out both luxury and speed, you should go for Acura.
Just bought May 23. We put the ground effects on it with the side body modeling. We got the windows tinted and added a sun roof visor. Carbon bronze with tan interior. I am in love with my new car.
Why do people think RWD will be so much better? Didnt TL-S beat g35 and 3series around the track? FWD are much easier car to drive than RWD. As much as i like to have rwd (s2000) in everyday driving FWD is easier to live with (snow, better mpg), acura is making sh-awd and people are complaining its not rwd based. Btw EVO has same layout. I think in couple of years people are gonna compain about cars not being midship rwd like formula one or drag cars. It will never end.
and rwd though a better platform for performance driving is something that the majority of drivers don´t need and rarely use to it´s potential, that said honda/acura still seem to make fwd cars that not only match some of their rwd rivals but better them in many aspects.
all in all I don´t think honda should change anything just keep on making extremely well engineered, reliable fun cars!
Have an '07 Type S and love it. I get lots of nice comments about the car. FWD is good to have in areas where it snows. AWD or RWD would be preferred along with more horsepower to keep competitive with the Infinity G35.

Well, the Acura TL does a great job with dealing with torque steer, but it's still there. It's noticeable when you accelerate while turning. The RWD cars don't have a problem with that.
