He's not ruining anything, people are free to do whatever they want, it's called creativity. Maybe he just prefers a high torque advantage over a high rpm advantage. I don't blame em.
lol, these poor fanboys are in denial. The LS1 makes everything better period, the Renesis holds its own and is vastly improved in terms of reliability I have to admit, but other than that the rotary engine is a shit engine design that no one uses for a good reason. People need to look around, RX-7 go up for sale fast and hardly anyone wants anything to do with them because of its cost to own. There now just shells waiting for the next guy to stuff an cheap LS1 in and run faster.
where the fuck do you live? I live in Kelowna BC Canada and there are FC's EVERYWHERE. There are 5 in town powered by pistons, the rest have blown motors and theres probably 40 all together, only 3 i know that are running
@SlidewaysWoofy25 LS V8's are better more capable motors than the SR20, 2jz, or RB26. LS V8's are also much smaller and lighter than the 2jz and RB26. RB26's and 2jz's don't fit under the hood and require you to relocate the RX-7's steering rack which ruins the cars handling.
cause a 240 looks like shit compared to the rx7 and you still have to swap engines to get any power out of one trust me i had a 240 and personal i love my ls1 rx7 way better
the actual weight difference between a fully dressed rotary and a fully dressed lsx motor is 40-50lbs. I hate all you rotards that try to argue this point because you won't accept the fact the lsx motor is far superior. So what if it weights a tiny bit more if it outputs 4x better than the rotary stock block for stock block. I drive a 350rwhp rotary and I know tons of LSx cars that will walk me day and night. Accept the facts and take a walk into reality park.
You're a dumbfuck. My 13b ate 2 gallons of gas idling and revving in my driveway for 20 minutes trying to get the fucker warmed up. 20mpg highway IF you're lucky and stay under the 3800 secondary crossover.
LS1 is far superior. The rotary is just different. That's all it's got. Yeah, both engines can make big power but the ls1 does it reliably and efficiently. Deal with it.
LS1 gets waaay better gas mileage. Dont let the 1.3L rotary fool you.
They are dirty money stealing motherfuckers. I'll run mine til it pops and i'm putting either a 1jz, lt1 or ls1 in it's place. After riding in my friends f-body camaro, i'm thinking of going the chevy route. Can't fuck with SBC torque.
Well part of that was because of the standards the C6Z06 pushed performance wise, as well as the marketing by Chevrolet, really brought the C6z to everyone's attention. The c5z didn't have anywhere near as much marketing thrown at us.
Either car is very fast though even in stock form.
Actually I really liked the car, unfortunately my brain is thinking about the next thing I have to focus on so it might have come across as pre-occupied...actually I really wanted to drive it :)
because it is verrrry cheap, very powerful, and very reliable. Get over your whole jdm fixation. its just a trend. Doing what works/whats best is timeless.
yeah but probably for gays like u . V8 is cheap , but rotary is not ? is tat it ? . actually i noe the main reason . let me share wif u . coz they r a retard when comes to tuning/fixing rotary
your a loser. 1. you try to act tough over youtube 2. your english is horrid 3. you obviously dont know how long a high hp 13b-re will last or how much a quality rebuild costs.
You got rid of the best bit! Roters are magic!
Like +600hp with only 3litres! You killed a great car!

If you wanted a piston engine so bad why don't you get a 240sx or something. Good job ruining a rare car...

the 1970 Chevellle SS454 engine model was a LS6
TimmywmdYFZ 3 years ago
Its an ls6 not a z06 motor
hoser69 3 years ago
LS6 was the C5 Z06 motor. 385hp in 2001, and 405hp in 2002-2004. The C6 Z06 from 06'-current has an LS7.
JustinStrife 3 years ago
I've noticed when people see "Z06" they automatically think of the C6 Z06 and not the C5.
