@sniperlif3 The filter is up high close to the box and not inline with any wheel so it stays almost as clean as a filter under the hood.

damn there is some compressor surge, i was a little unwilling to believe until I heard it. Sweet setup, you will need either larger turbine housing / porting / better cam to move more air through the system more efficiently. You could also possibly sort it with a good EBC. Still I bet it feels very nice and performs well- just need to get the surge issue addressed

With the 3.55 gears I was getting 22 mpg, 2-3 mpg better than stock. Now with 4.10s and always driving it hard it is getting 2-3 mpg worse. (both on the highway using cruise control)

My BOV spring is a little too heavy. As long as it isn't surging in boost there is no problem.

Turbo's will never surge while boosting. Compressor surge only occurs when the throttle closes and the boost reverses right into the compressor wheel (when no proper way to vent the air is present), causing that sound, and sometimes causing the turbo to back spin.

On a side note, that truck is fast!

Turbos shouldn't surge in boost if sized properly. They will be very short lived, otherwise. I am upgrading the turbo and intercooler in the upcoming weeks.

Around 12 psi. The resonator is a 4" Walker for diesel trucks. It takes out all the turbo whistle and leaves all the rest. The turbo itself acts the most like a muffler.

you must have upgraded the transmission heavily because that is putting out some power and we all know about dodge truck tranny problems. What all did you do to the trans and rear end?

The transmission has been machined for an increased number of clutches that are also upgraded and has a worked over valvebody. The rear end is stock, but with 4.10 gears and a Powertrax locker.

I have an 04 ram hemi with KN intake, Superchips computer upgrade, and dual exhaust which are pretty mild upgrades that let 'er burn pretty good, but don't sound anything like that!!
