  • one person believes in an imaginary grandpa = insane

a shit ton of morons believe in a imaginary grandpa = religion

  • Attacking another belief is hardly cause for someone to adopt your own. Also, in your written description you use the word Secular Humanist and Science interchangeably. Arguably, this shows that you feel traditional science meets the definition of the term "religion". This clearly shows you don't understand what science is. You feel as though science proclaims to know an overall truth, just as religion does. The scientist knows that only the evidence is important. Show me yours.

  • @Bradly640 atheism is not a belief, a religion, a faith... or any other form of bullshit

science is not a belief, a religion, a faith... or any other form of bullshit

hmm, they are the same. do you know that 93% of all scientists are atheists? unlike religion the proof is already out there for science. so do not question my numbers, or assume they are wrong, look them up yourself

  • Obiter Dictum" : Words of an opinion entirely unnecessary for the decision of the case. A remark made or opinion expressed by a judge in a decision upon a cause, "by the way", that is, incidentally or collaterally, and not directly upon the question before the court or upon a point not necessarily involved in the determination of the cause, or introduced by way of illustration, or analogy or argument. Such are not binding as precedent

  • please stop saying torcaso v. watkins did not declare that atheism was a religion that was said in the "obiter dictum" so please stop and secular humanisim isnt atheism ive watched lots of your videos and this seems to be your favorite statement

  • someone BOO this man. Im no athiest, im a person who doesnt believe in religion, athism, any of it. but when i see this dumb shit. every one of ur videos is the same. it makes no sense. you put your theory to the bible and god and just say god is this all mighty all powerful being, and made this with his magical wond and is the truth to it all. get real man. open your mind your life is boring

  • "Re": 'back to the origin'

"Ligion": from the root Ligare meaning 'to bind' (think about "ligaments" or "ligatures")

In its etymological definition "Re-ligion" is actually a verb meaning"re-connect" Modern religion is an institutional concept. We associate it with the church and with politics, not with honest re-connecting to the ground of our being. Science, including the social sciences are the only disciplines exploring these areas now. Thank the church for having killed 'religion'

  • Good job Randall please check out Daniels time line by Dewey Bruton, scutter4christ has entire video on his utube channel im a newby 2 utube. Again Thanku

  • Sounds to me like he's saying: Yeah, secular humanists, we christians are not the only stupid religious people! You are just as faith blinded and stupidly religious as we are! In your face!

  • Bravo sir! Humanist have tenants, apologist, preachers, evolution equals salvation etc etc etc.

  • Any idea that can be fought over, debated, lived for, unites and divides, can easly fall into the modle of religion, especially since religion is for the community of people.

  • @sunshade0 - In the words of the virgin Mary ...WTF?

  • Not all atheists are Secular Humanists though, you can't generalise. Atheists are not all the same, they just agree on ONE intellectual stance.

  • Religion allows people to believe things without proof, aka faith. This horrible flaw in human nature expressed in faith has a nasty habit of transfering to other aspects of a 'faithful' persons life. So yes, faith and religion cause many many problems.

Faith hasn't been kicked out of the schools, you are free to worship where ever you want, it just isn't sponsored by the schools which are paid for by religious and secular people alike.

  • @killerbandit just to point out, not t debate, just to put out there, there is a difference between religion and faith, religion is what the community of believers believe, depending on the communities stance on it. Faith is the individuals trust in the idea. not debating, just puttin that out there.

  • Yes, and the catholics started losing Americans and started their political agenda for profits and power by putting their beliefs into our law. Which is treason. As far as I can see. These people have been this way since they started invading England for Spain. I read how they have been in the book "GOD'S secret Agents". When a church turns to politics, they're turning their backs to GOD.

  • @Licmycat Well the church is like democracy, as in it's a community of people, yes the Roman organization of smart/rich elites, does have an organiztion, for it is a government in the same sence as countries gonvernments that have caused wars and made hospitals for there people and them selves. It is true when a group of people gain power over a feild, corrupting leads to a dark path, yet the church, anyone, are not evil, just hijacked by human error.

  • @sunshade0 u don't know what evil is??? Haven't experienced it? Practice it???

  • @Licmycat All people are evil have done evil, and lead evil. Yet evil is not a substance or a material, it is the lack of. Evil is the lack of good, of wisdom, of love, of hope and of God. When people do an action that lacks a virtue of God and of Love they commet evil, even if it seems trivial to us. For us to say this is evil and that is good, is feeding the ego and should be done carefully and with kindness. We can know good/evil, yet we should not judge others of it.

  • @sunshade0 Judge not lest ye be judged. The churches out for power in this nation has opened themselves to judgement by judging those who belong not to their political groups they use for power. 1 Samuel 2:25

  • @Licmycat true, it seems as though all minorities true like that, when threated by the majority. It's funny because the church is a collection of people in a community, following the teachings of christ. so in sence if a church stops following christ, can it be a church after that, or just humans doing human things?

  • @sunshade0 It looks to me that they become the corporations they register for. Profit and power. With their members perversions. Political agencies. Right there they turn their backs on GOD and worship only themselves. You can tell from their fruits. Which has smelled pretty rotten this year. Man will serve only one master, hate the one and love the other....when a man worships the devil he sure isn't working for GOD, deliberately. Which u know when u see them turning their backs on GOD's laws.

  • @Licmycat true, but true christians have this thing called mercy and forgivness. the church is a people, we must forgive the people, and work to correct our wrongs.

  • @sunshade0 How do u expect to forgive someone who doesn't ask for it, much less not admit they hurt you?

  • @Licmycat heh, its not easy, but possible, forgiveness is a two way action, and thouse who do it, show greater love, then thouse who don't.

  • @sunshade0 Don't the mean people give unto others what they want for themselves? Tell me, did Abel forgive Cain for killing him? Did GOD forgive him? Did he ask?

  • @Licmycat well thats hard to say, forgivness makes it hard to entertian people who like drama and action, also your ask if some dead forgave, it doesn't say, and for God, it depends how you look at it. he didn't kill Cain, also with the sacrfice of the Lamb, you could say he was, but this is hard to say as the writings don't focus on that. So we can't know. Also I thought mean peole took from others what they wanted? not gave.

  • @sunshade0 I see. U don't know that GOD punished Cain. He marked him and ran all his life. Because anyone would know who he was they would punish or avoid him. It's not possible to forgive someone who thinks they are so superior to anyone else they treat them cruelly. If a person refuses to ask forgiveness from GOD, then they will certainly treat others like that. Turning the other cheek also includes staying away from him or tempt GOD by putting urself in danger around them. DON'T tempt GOD!

  • @Licmycat hmm, I don't know, early church martyers would say right to their killers, "I forgive you", or ask God to Forgive them. It's not impossible to forgive someone who doesn't ask, it just their not sorry, but still forgiven by the person out of love, the basis for fogiveness and wisdom.

  • @sunshade0 Excellent Sun. You've hit the nail on the head. You have just shown how people's different religions believe to a point, but more importantly just how different people's personal relationship to GOD is. Every individual looks at the same things and sees it differently. Right? And...between us and the Jews who have become stiff-necked, ours is different with Jesus, although GOD'S laws originated with the Jews....Moses.

  • @Licmycat true, we all see things differentaly, and when it comes to relationships, it's between two individuals. The human and God. though we must stay away from relative out look on God, or we will loose sight of the love. Yet not fight over the aboslute. So long as God gets his basic desire of relationship and forgiveness, everything else will come to pass at the beginning of the next adventure.

  • @sunshade0 ...and after further thought....our discussion goes to prove why there is a separation between church and state, civil laws, to advoid the war of religions. (Besides protecting all citizens from violence and evil.) EXCEllent. Are u an Angel or what??! (And the man who they hurt said; "Father, forgive them. They know not what they do." Doesn't mean HE forgave them, now did it?

  • @Licmycat heh I'm not an angel, far from one. just a thinker.

Though the idea of seperation has puzzeled me. Democracy spose to give power to the people, and I saw the church as the people who follow the commandments of Christ. If the church followed that and didn't cause war, would there be a need for seperation, and in sense give power to the people with the guidence of God?

  • @sunshade0 @sunshade0 Truly, Sun. Many years ago I read someone who said;" If all people were Christians who obeyed GOD'S laws, there would be no need for civil laws." And so very true, the worse people get here, the more I think about it. They should be honorable, honest, trust-worthy people. But I know no church I would trust. Especially since the blasphemies the big churches are committing and yet strive to take power over all our people thru the civil law.

  • @Licmycat Cursed be the man who trusts in man JEREMIAH 5.17

Is that your excuse not to believe in christ and not go to church.. thats what many people use as an excuse because they see the errors of other christians but not see the perfection of God. Man will always faill you but God will never!!!!

  • @panchopablo88 Are you saying ur a GOD????? Or did u sell me some marijuana last week? Hey, man, where's the LSD u promised??

  • @sunshade0 Do u know the history of the Catholics that went to England from Spain and planned to murder the Queen who was Protestant and take power by bringing their people to invade there? Omygosh. I read the book; "GOD'S secret Agents", and it was appalling. That church sanctioned murder for power. They are no different today here in America. Although they are striving to take over without violence, they are still sinnin' big.

  • @Licmycat question, are you anticatholic, or antichristian, because you seem to keep putting blame on the church like it's some alien 2012 illunitie conpericy. I don't quite know what the church is like in your USA state, but in places like china,Canada and south America, it's alot different, epesciallly since it just abunch of people living as farmers, teachers, taxi drivers, etc. nothing politcal. Also just to mention in a scholar setting, 3 books is the min for an arguement paper, more better

  • @sunshade0 Wow! U got two personalities??? I thought u were a senitive intelligent there for a while. U just fool people or did u forget to take ur meds?? I'm outta here, crazy.

  • @Licmycat are u not also sinning too???? he who is without any sin throw the first rock...!!!!

  • lol, i didnt know there was a case that deemed humanism as a religion. yeah i guess it would be a religion. thats kind of like nihilism, self-refuting. you cant believe in "nothing" because that itself is a belief! heres a quote

"I am convinced that the battle for humankind's future

must be waged and won in the public school classroom

by teachers that correctly perceive their role

as proselytizers of a new faith: a religion of humanity

that recognizes and respects the spark of what the.."

  • "...theologians call divinity in every human being...

The classroom must and will become an arena of conflict

between the old and new -- the rotting corpse of Christianity,

together with all its adjacent evils and misery, and the new faith

of humanism, resplendent with the promise of a world in which

the never-realized Christian ideal of 'love thy neighbor'

will finally be achieved." - John J. Dunphy
