  • What about 2x Medics healing an inured player?

  • i wish this could be a class in school: P.E. is replaced by Team Fortress 2 learning and testing XD

  • As a scout I help my team medics by hitting myself with the boston basher. It's very helpful to them.

  • someone help me im new to this game. what happens if you have full uber chargE? you turn red and all but what does it do?

  • Remember guy that the über updates medigun (the queck-fix) builds uber as fast as the Kritzkrieg!

  • Wow I.. honestly have to say I got disappointed,..

Thought i'd see some actual tactics, not the simple charge rate of the Über-bar, which only complete noobs don't know.

  • Song is Love Generation by Bob Sinclair.

  • what about three medics?

  • I experienced this on Frontier, where the cart is inside the spawn for Blu team. I couldn't fully charge before the game started because they were all on the cart.

This should either be fixed by the cart won't heal or give ammo before start, or the teammates should just understand that my ÜberCharge doesn't fil fast enough when you stand near a cart or Dispenser meanwhile.

  • I really like the music.

    From jaamaaacaaaa

  • song name?

  • @WhatboutJosh You...could try searching "Love Generation" in Google...you know...the phrase he keeps saying over and over and over and over again? A lot of the time, that phrase that is constantly repeated as such is incidentally the title of the song.

  • What about a Heavy with gloves of running urgently?

  • What if a player hurts themselves after setup? such as on their way to the cart or something? does that also increase the uber charge faster or does self damage do no effect for increases charge.

  • @MondoMiniman Obviously. The healing charge rate in setup is same as healing someone injured (these two do not stack for faster charging). Once setup is over it goes back down unless you heal an actual injured person (self induced or not doesn't matter). So damaging yourself before the gate opens is pointless.

  • So does medic and dispenser or medic and medic give a faster heal and make it more difficult to kill someone or is it just the benefit of having a backup medic?

  • To clarify this a bit...the ubercharge rate is 2.5% per second for players who are not fully overhealed (150%). For players who are fully overhealed, it is 1.25% per second.

So, the one being healed doesn't necessarily have to be injured for the fastest ubercharge rate. They just have to be below the max overheal mark, or 150% of the classes' base max health.

  • What about two medics healing an injured player?

  • Even though the information part was pretty much done at a minute in, I had to watch the rest of the video to hear more of the song haha.

  • so if you want an uber quicker HEAL ALL YOUR INJURED TEAM MATES!

fuck, I'm HAET those damn medics who ONLY heal this one heavy or soldier. I'm pretty good myself at healing and buffing my entire team to 150% health where we become pretty much unstoppable.

  • I think it also matters if the player is injured to the red zone or not and if the "wound" is fresh, but still the video is very informative

  • lol wut??

so while setup, you cant do ub3r, using ur times

  • what'[s better? uber charge? or crit charge?

  • i think that when im healing a full health player, it raises faster than this video... i think...

  • basics...

  • what if everyone has full health but you keep switching targets to keep a buff on them at all times? say at startup everyone has full health but some medics get there uber before others what is the timing doing this tactic?

  • During setup time ubercharge time is improved to that of healing an injured person.

Buffing constantly will be quicker than sticking to one fully buffed patient and slower than injured so yep would be interesting to show that too.

  • That's very subjective, depends on how long it takes for you to change targets and if they are damaged or not.

  • Very helpful. Thanks!

  • There may be situations where a combination of thse happens (eg injured then full healed or one medic then two medics) but it is a good generalisation.

  • @xridethelightningx That wont take long for him to get to full health, turning it into a Medic-Dispenser Situation.

  • What about the spawn uber timer?

  • it only makes it longer when 2 medics heal one person in set up. also it doesn't make it faster if a soldier//demo injures himself during set up as well

  • 40 secs. or less.

I keep telling the Soldiers and Demomen on my team NOT to inflict self-damage, do they listen? No, of course not.

  • I mean during Setup

  • The Dispenser+Medic got its uber subtly faster than the Medic+Medic. :o

And I agree with jgjghgh: You should try differently leveled dispensers, and maybe even three medics.

  • the dispenser calculation is wrong. the Lv. 1 2 and 3 dispensers all heal diffirently the higher the level the faster they heal players and give ammo

  • Yea EJLFilms, it hasn't been that way for a while.

Go look back in patch notes before February, it's in there somewhere that during setup time you have a constant rate. I was even told one match a while ago to stop rocktetjumping because it wasn't helping the medics.

  • Well maybe in one of the shitty console versions.

  • a tip is to be a soldier in setup, rocket jump til while lots of medics are healing you. That's how you get lots of úbers.

  • No... you're wrong. In setup, all the ubercharges charge at a fixed rate. Damaging yourself in setup has no effect.

  • I meant the medic gets faster to uber if im soldier or demoman and keep hurting myself repeatable

  • You said it happened in setup. When you HURT yourself in SETUP, the ubercharge DOESN'T charge faster.

  • It does actually.

When a medic is healing me when im hurting myself does get his medicgun faster uber.

  • No, it doesn't. Check TF2's wiki.

  • @Neso906 But medic can get some points :D

  • what is music in this clip !!!????

  • Bob Sinclar - Love generation

  • love generation :)

  • awesome video! thanks :)

  • Nice informative video :]

There was something else i noticed when played as medic, at beginning of cp or pl, with medigun i just buff up the hp of about everyone on my team, mashing button on many teammates, then when most of them are buffed up, i go charge my medigun on someone and the recharge rate seems to go way faster, i'm not sure if it's cause of something else, so if you got time, can you try to check it up?

  • hmm lol well thats strange, u know before the gate opens ur medigun charges at a constant rate of 2x speed

  • Do it the other way. Work up an uber on someone for the first 40 seconds, then take the last 20 to overheal everyone.

Whenever the Medigun beam isn't attached to someone, you're not getting uber.

  • @CDiKingsAhoy When you buff a teammate it's similar to healing teammates because you're actually giving them health rather than holding health at a steady pace.

  • @CDiKingsAhoy I'ts probably because when you switch targets, there's a split second you're not healing anyone.

  • Thanks, interesting video. Here's a question: does self harm still work for a faster recharge? I thought they removed this a while back

  • yes, the thing they changed was: before the gate opens your uber builds as if your healing an injured person. after the gate opens the uber rate resets to normal

  • cool vid

  • As a medic player, I thank you for the detailed informations!

  • thanks! im glad you liked it :)

  • wow i never saw u on youtube before. Watched all ur vids they are good and u should keep em comming.. Subbed!

  • thanks!

  • cool

  • yeah im especially happy about making this video :)
