rofl! geartronic better than automatic and manual?! good one, volvos geartronic isn't very good, you cant get precise shifts, it shifts about a half a second after you shift, i understand it is very nice as when your just cruising you can keep it in D and when you feel like getting on it you can wined out those gears, but it takes away from the experience of a manual. a good geartroinc i would get over manual would be the system in audi's (jdm i think they call it) it's very good
the V50 was only called that in recent years, when it was released in 1995 they were called the S40 and V40 for mark 1 and 2, only the mark 3 is called the V50

Sorry, but your dad can't be full on throttle. We've also an S40 2.0D it has got 136hp 320NM. The acceleration you're showing in this video looks like the same, as in our 136hp 2.0D. Our 2.0D reaches the 220KM/h , a T5 is doing 250-260 KM/h on the speedo. Also the whole acceleration has to be much more faster than that.

Your dad can either have S40 or V50, not a V40. And no 1.8 engine comes nowhere near to the 2.5 l V5 turbocharged in T5 version. Believe me.

do you think is that really fast? i do praha (cz) to vicenza (it), is 898 km in 7 hours....
normally i drive at 180/200, but when i have inaf space i take 265kmh with my s40 t5 MANUAL 6SPD 270hp....

My dad has a V40 1.8. He can do 245 km/h. He has driven it in Germany... So why buy a T5:P 1.8 is enough;)

a T-5 engin gets you 220horses and a 1,8 gets you i think like 140horses and the T-5 is mutch faster than your little 1,8
