HOW TO CHANGE UR PSP'S MAC ADDRESS (NO COMPUTER NEEDED)* **my way** Part 1

The reason you can find the mac address in the menu is so you can ad it on the whitelist of your wlan router if you are blocking unknown mac addresses.

There are absolutely no reason to hide or change it. (well the only reason to change it would be to use it on a network that is restricted, but then you would need to know a whitelisted mac address)

@blaskkaffe Another reason to changing your mac address is because sometimes it is required to load some save data files from other PSP's. The way this is possible is if you want to give your friend or someone a copy of your save data, but his/her PSP won't read it. (Such as the game "Sodom Fireteam Bravo 2")..

2 possible errorS

1: you have a slim and must use time machine and bring it back FW 1.50

2:you have a psp phat BUT you do not have the 1.50 kernal addon installed to it.

or maybe you do and you have to go enable it...

BUT if you go to recovery and you change it to kernal 150, IT DOESNT MEAN YOU INSTALLED THE 150 TO YOUR P. so if you have a psp phat, go look for a video that teaches you how to install it. if you have a psp slim, go look for a video that teaches you how to install Time Machine

hey if you change your mac address wouldn't that cause you configure that new mac address with netgear router if if you have one.

well not really because is just like getting another psp and setting up the internet connection for it. so if u change ur mac address u wont have to re-setup the connection unless u go to system settings and restore to default setting.

if u have a psp phat, go install the 1.50 kernal addon for 3.71m33.. if u have a slim, ur gonna have to install timemachine and go back to version 1.00

their was a miss undersatanding, u need to install the 1.50 kernal addon for 3.80 m33 into ur psp and then go to recovery and switch ur kernal to 1.50. after that run the mac address changer and it should work just fine. so for now, go watch a video on how to install the 1.50 kernal addon. =)...

nope, just because in the recovery it says 3.xx or 1.50 doesnt mean u have the 150 kernal addon... u have to install it and then change it to 1.50 kernal in the recovery menu...

afeter i change my kernel to 1.50 and i exit game boot to go to my memeory stick it shows that 1 file is curropt and when i go to the other file and click on it a message comes up and it says it cant be started so what am i doing wrong!
