I really dont see why people are knocking Microsoft. They have already said that they want the Xbox to become more of an entertainment system rather then just a gaming machine. I got a PC because I'm tired of Microsoft's and Xbox's shit, but still, they're making money and that's is what a companies true goal is.

PS3 is much better if you want your machine to do more than just play games. Kinect could be fun but it's way too expensive and most of the games are gimmicky shit made for children. As much as we may not like to hear it, Casual gaming is now a $4 Billion dollar industry and has enjoyed a fierce pace of growth over the past 3 years.
Growth in Core gaming has stood virtually still. Sure you have the big franchises that post impressive sales figures, but not all core games are enjoying the same success. Shooters tend to do extremely well while other genres like RPGS and Strategy suffer from low and sluggish sales.

Yeah...and Microsoft is turning their backs on the real gamers now. They were the ones to boost the xbox to what it is today. They were the one to buy millions of copy of the first Halo and paying the services of xboxlive. As much as we may not like to hear it, Casual gaming is now a $4 Billion dollar industry and has enjoyed a fierce pace of growth over the past 3 years.
Growth in Core gaming has stood virtually still. Sure you have the big franchises that post impressive sales figures, but not all core games are enjoying the same success. Shooters tend to do extremely well while other genres like RPGS and Strategy suffer from low and sluggish sales.
