I think the reason why people dislike this film is because it did not meet most of the expectations people had. I myself thought this would have been the most epic moment in cinema history and was obviously let down. The film was light hearted and funny but it was no where as good as I thought it would be. It was good not great.. They should just continue making films rather then the television episodes, at least the movie was funny.

I agree with your review 100% this movie would have been better if it came out a lot sooner (unfortunately I would not be able to see it since there was not theater in my town until 2007). I liked the movie but it was not as great as I thought it would be. One thing there was no blood in this movie, in a lot of episodes there is blood even when it's not necessary. So why was there no blood in this movie? (especially in the Itchy and Scratchy scene)

to me the movie was bad and honestly all people like the old simpsons with their original jokes, and not these childish jokes that you can find in any usa cartoon. the movie could be a lot better and be a lot more like the simpsons if the characters were more like themselves.

When the simpsons started to have more things of today , they just sank, and the new simpsons repeat the old stuffs, that's why they are not funny.

Good review, but I have to disagree a little. There was no right or wrong time to release it, because the Simpsons shall always be icons, hence why this made the perfect summer flick. Nowadays, I don't find myself laughing as much to the new Simpsons episodes, however, this movie felt like a mid 90's episode (which is great). Sure, it could've been fit into an episode (like they did with Kamp Krusty), but I'll never regret seeing it on the big screen.

It made 527 milion,, i n fact it`s later elease had a few big asdvanrages, nostalgia, even if you didn`t watch the sjow A Simopson movie you did have to see and al people that ould have gone back than, would go now. I think you exacurate the Simopdon suces in th eary 90, tough the show was popular, but never became the new Star Wars, so thr movire woukld never had made thn 600 milion the amount the lowest SW made, so I think the had the hugest succes please respond?

when i first saw the trailer for this movie i thout it was going to be about kang and kodos seeing the shaddow cover everything thing which i assumed was a spaceship and the dome around was a force field got a little dissapointed what it really was about but to be honest it was a great movie and they managed to turn a bad script like that to a very good movie i would give it a 7/10 it was good
