  • I have sony acid but i lost the software but i still have my certification code do knw what to do?

  • @254MAdE254 have you... tried... calling sony?

  • hit me up colab soundclick . com / therealrichieporter

  • I wish I can do what you did. I had interest watching and learning. thanks!

  • @TheCrazyMusicKid You can! That's the point of the video :)

  • ppl say hes boring, i think hes actually pretty nice and pretty helpful. he gets the job done and explains stuff well

  • @DeeJayMikeyG Appreciate that. One guy said I was boring... and he's the same guy who uploaded a slideshow of a car he doesn't own... with trance music playing in the background.

  • @jacksonwonderful well thats dumb. who the hell does that? i guess i could see if it was his... but not his? is he a tool? ya i think so

  • @DeeJayMikeyG I feel you. I just feel sorry for people who need to spread anonymous, negative comments via the internet. It's a waste of their time.

  • @DeeJayMikeyG this is the most useful tutorial ive watched on youtube..ever. for anything. I have Acid Pro 7's trial version and this is exactly what I need to comprehend it.

  • this sounds like some honda civic slaps

  • Dude, you could write a manual & sell it. I subscribed to your channel & learned a shitload. Anyone who hates on your vids is only here to do just that. Anyway, I have an issue w/ my Lexicon Lambda interface in ASIO mode. I won't get into specifics but it only works in record mode in ACID Pro 7, I can't hear anything in playback. So, I use my sound card for playback & I'm able to record thru my Lambda in CLASSIC WAVE mode. As long as I record thru the Interface, I should be good, right? Wrong?

  • ok u got 2 screens :P ...i fuckin hate soulja boy

u kno ur shit takes time i guess, that acid looks alittle like sound forge

    i use cubase

over there it says the hottest beat eva im about to listen because there was one yesterday, it was something my 10 year bro would make what a load of shit the guy called it dope i hope that means shite he had a nice set up and then he made this little beat........ what a wanker ....the guy was feeling something but fuk knows what that was

  • NICE!

  • you're so boooorrrrrriinnggggg

  • @gavinjamesaitken1 And you're a whiny amateur who needs help learning to make beats, so I guess it evens out.

  • this is a preschool beat

  • @ballsdanglin It's also a tutorial to help teach new producers the basics of ACID grid programming. So thanks for the comment, but it's been said a million times and it doesn't help anybody, not even your own ego.

  • i want to make instrumentals so friking bad but its so complicated.. i used to have FL studio & Reason.. But I Had No idea how to make any type of beat on them

  • @cjlewiscccc I have acid pro on an old computer and reasons on a cd(computer is too small to install it) I havent tried using reasons yet. Is it difficult? Have you tried acid? I heard reasons is better.

  • say if i wanted to get loops i want instead of the soulja boy song, where would i go?

  • good tutorial! and its kinda funny that u copied the song in like 10 mins, and plus some lyrics and figuring out the melody, i give it a day.

  • this is the best acid tutorial so far. THANK YOU !!!

  • just read some of the comments man-- everybody knows it was made with FL and the tempo in this case doesn't matter.

  • @jacksonwonderful yeah true...

  • @jacksonwonderful hey man love all ur videos, may be cos i too have a small vision of producing music..am an asian in uk,begineer.need some advice on what kind of course to choose..thanks..

  • r u god

    that was so pro skills

my beat turned into barbie girl song :(

  • You obviously have a good ear for beats, and obviously you have a nice amount of experience with melodies. Aim for the sky you WILL go big if you have the talent & you stay at it. Good luck.

    Btw: Good tutorial.

  • thank you dj pain 1 .. very cool tutorial it helped me a lot especially im new on using sony acid pro

  • im not worry about what u play on radio because u have sumthin call a (Program Director ) and they what to play which makes u a puppet. It dosent matter if its on another video what he said was disrespectful and ignorant. as far as a premo beat anyone can do it its if u take the time to learn it, but hey u got ready made program which keeps orinignality out of music. dont confuse pop culture with hiphop u claim u work kev brown but your showing people how to make garbage, get real.

  • You have a real immature view of how hip-hop culture works, evolves and interacts with people. Hip-hop has many problems, yes. But you acting as though premo beats are going to save us all is ridiculous. That's an entirely different conversation. I'm just teaching the BASICS of a program. Can you understand that? The basics. I used the soulja boy beat because it is BASIC and it was relevant, for better or worst,to the current generation of hip-hop fans.

  • Also, you attacked me personally by saying I was a puppet, that I made garbage, that my beats are "ready-made." Go ahead and test me-- as a dj, as a producer, as an educator, as a writer. You won't win, plain and simple.

I agree that what soulja boy said is ridiculous. But this video is about teaching the basics of a program and if you can't understand that, I'm done talking with you.

  • theres no ignorance, but if sum one comes to me an says i wanna produce then give them a Pete rock record or a Gangstarr album, Da beatminerz, Madlib, J Dilla. Music is about challanging yourself, not point an click with a mouse button thats not making music. come on this is the same person that if it wasnt for the white man bringing me over from africa i wouldnt be able to rock all this ice now thats ignorant. but your a radio personality u play whatever is trendy and that shit is trendy.

  • Don't worry about what I play on the radio. Worry about your own contribution to the global hip-hop community. Like I said, I support all hip-hop while giving well-founded criticism and challenging problems (soulja boy's attitude towards slavery being one that I mentioned in a separate video as a matter of fact).

Point and click programming is the best way to learn the basics of a program. You think somebody who has never made a beat before can recreate a Premier track? No, that's absurd.

  • great tutorial!

  • why would anyone want to remake this garbarge that shit is trash stop confusing pop music with real hip hop

  • I love comments like this. There's so much ignorance and ego involved with "keeping it real." This beat is simple enough to help aspiring producers learn the basics of programming and, at the time it was created, the song was relevant and popular. Now don't even try to say I'm confused. I'm hip hop straight up and down-- I've done tracks with kev brown, chino xl, cl smooth, I know my history and I write, dj, dig and produce. Don't confuse ME with some fan. I make ALL forms of hip-hop.

  • -_-

  • Is the sample pack URL finally dead, huh? If so, I'd be really grateful for an active link.

Or maybe you know some nice steel drum samples on the net?

  • updated

  • Why do all that just get fruity loops .... thats what he used all them sounds are in fruity loops 5 6 and 7 daugh!!!

  • read the description, bonehead.

  • You'r beat is nice, can you upload it and send me the link to download?

  • what purpose do the two screens serve? i'm not trying to like be a smartass or anything, i've seen videos with dudes with like three or four screens, and i've always wondered what they are for.

  • With programs such as acid, protools, logic and many video editors, one screen isn't enough to perform the editing and the mixing-- more space is needed. You can split the two windows and have more control over the software... plus two screens make you look way more important.

  • haha oh okay thanks

  • hey sup jackson i have acid pro just got it i wanted to know where and how do i adjust the settings on it cuz when i record its off beat and everything sounds real fast wen i play it if u can help me with the audio adjustments i would appreciate it thanx man

  • Hey man respect to you bro! you inspired me to record music that I will use in my demo reel just pray for those who have nothing better to do than have youtube fights lol.

    -God bless.

  • would you recommend this software for mega mixing and mash ups ? im new to all of this thanks!

  • yes

  • why would u make life hard and use acid pro to sequence a beat when its more of a multi-track tool for arranging/recording a song. it's funny how u were changing the pitch of the sample to play the steel drum parts, make life easier and use the right tool for the right job. flstudio (fruityloops) would have been a step in the right direction plus there are many other software sequencers (production) tools out there i.e. reason, cubase.

i bet u left a lot of people scratching heads, lol

  • Make life easier and spend less time complaining about a video meant to help people learn the basic functions of a program you don't even use to begin with.

  • okay, so it's a video on using acid pro, but u know it makes sense to use the right tool for the right job. you could have made a demo on arranging a song or something to better demonstrate the use of acid. it's more of a video on hey look what i can do using acid! if so then thats ok. nuff said

  • didn't your mom ever teach you "if you don't got any thing good to say, don't say nothing at all"

this video helped me alot so fuck off!!!

  • People love to criticize. Everybody has their own reasons. This guy seems to really enjoy getting angry on the internet, so I imagine he's not doing much musically. No big deal.

    Glad the video helped.

    P

  • i don't really get what you mean by snaps :p could you explain?

  • Is there a way I can disect a multie sound beat into single sounds? Ive tried cuttem down but i cant get as accurate as I want to.

  • How about thinking before typing ignorant comments. I am a gold-certified producer/dj who makes original music on an almost hourly basis. This video is a tutorial showing the process (focus on the process, not the end result) of recreating an extremely simple beat using one-shot programming in Sony ACID 5.0. It says so in the description. I'm sure you can handle it if you try a little harder.

  • haha u just pwned CyaNiDeAsN

  • HAHA PWN!

  • Hey i've downloaded the trial version of this and i was wondering if u could tell me where to find the default sounds that it comes with

  • Trial version doesn't come with anything.

  • I HEARD A TRAIN

  • Yeah, I work right by the tracks. Coal cars all day.

  • prop, not on the song itself but on tempo mesuring

  • Good looking out!

  • mediafire says that the dowload has been removed

  • Because you typed it incorrectly. Try again.

  • shows how cheap soulja boys songs are lol what a poser

  • i have already made progress iv just completed the start of the song iv only just started makeing it but i need to know how to copy and paste all of it in one go but ur a gd teacher have u ever thought of bieng a music producer/teacher because u explain things properlly u dnt just rush to end the video gd video 10/10

  • I'm getting a wierd, kind of repeating sound at the beginning of my Snap file. Is that supposed to be like that?

  • Is it set to one-shot or loop?

  • One Shot

  • Try redownloading the file or if you can, chop off the undesired sound at the beginning of the clip.

  • Thanks. BTW, great video. I'm already more proficient with Acid than I was at the beginning

  • Can you tell me how to record vocals using sony acid I am having trouble doing it. I am new to sony acid

  • Your help file will explain that.

  • ay man u got talent u hsould use fl studio its way easyer to use everybody check out my remake of crank dat!!

  • Thanks for the compliment. Hey everybody check out every comment I've ever left in response to people who claim that FL Studio is easier and/or better. :P

  • i dont think fl studio is easier, because of the template. But you can do all the same things on acid pro and the over all sound seems better to me. i really dont get acid pro. i only know how to do what u have shown and mix with it. and plus its probably cause i have no vst plugins, so i cant create my own songs.

  • And I respect and agree with your comment-- FL Studio is easier in that regard, ie. it's easier to do more with less. ACID can do quite a bit, but it is more of a multitrack/daw and less of a pre-loaded drum machine/sound module. If you use FL Studio, do your thing! I'm part of the team that produced the new plies song "co-defendent." It was made by T-Minus with FL Studio. :)

  • Co-Defendant is one of my favorite songs off Da Realist which in my opinion is one of the best produced albums I have ever heard.

  • Great tutorial. Thanks. Very helpfull. I always try to use click tracks.

  • i like how you insulted soulja boy on the low.

i agree with you. some people just dont know good music from gimmick music.

  • I actually don't mind his music... it's totally stupid, yes, but I don't think he's ruining hip-hop. His statements regarding slavery on the other hand suggest to me that his definitely not as smart as I thought. I'm really not a fan of his anymore.

  • You gotta remember.. hes young. hes dumb. When hes 30, I bet hes a different dude.. if hes still in the limelight then which I doubt.. Crank Dat bullshit is the only song he will EVER be known for

  • He'll still have money though. He'll be an A&R or producer. It'll be interesting to see either way.

  • hey i'm back..... i tried many other programs.. but i wanna come back to acid pro. so can u tell me where i can get sounds? do i make them my self witha keboard? i know my questions are weird and stupid but i'm still a begginer :)

  • ...thanks for the insight.

  • Dead link

  • For the 15th time: THE LINK IS NOT DEAD. YOU TYPED IT INCORRECTLY. DO NOT POST "DEAD LINK" ON MY VIDEO IF YOU HAVE NO VERIFIED THE LINK. ?9t2iob1zymg

  • klkl it still works (i actually tried it like 3 times)

  • u can recreate soulja boy with virtually any software...plain and a simple its a crazy shit song

  • "Plain and a simple" your comment is just another non-sequiter. If you think you're too good to be watching a video for beginners, then don't watch the video. "Plain and a simple."

  • buddy i aint hating on you...just the track so chill out

  • I repeat: you posted a non-sequiter. It's my video and I will tell you if you are posting useless comments. "Plain and a simple."

  • OMG I DID MY FIRST 1!!! but.. i didnt go to the complex stuff like the two measures . it sounded good to me but for a professional like u it would suck lol

  • Like I said, you're only 13 and this is one of your first tries. Be happy that you're making progress. I know of people who are 10 years older than you are who aren't making progress. You'll get it if you keep at it!

    :)

  • OMG!! I CANT BELIEVE THIS!UR THE BEST I'M ACTUALLY STARTING TO GET THIS STUFF OMG!!!!!!!ur the best really!!! when i watched u do this stuff i just wanted to start doing it too but i still have a LOOOONG wayLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG

  • nvm i got it thanks :D

  • um... i know this is a stupid question but how do u get the sounds for drums and the snaps and stuff like that do u make them?

  • he's sogoood lol i wish i can do that .. but that's a wish lol

  • haha i'm so stupid u explain so well but i'm so stupid!! i'm still 13 and i know nothing about this stuff not even the basics can somem1 plz help me plz tell me any where i can get the basics and the program

  • where do i get the sounds on the website?

  • It was very easy to understand. Nicely done Sir!

  • good ill get it for sure then

  • does acid support vsts, dx, rtas and so on. it looks pretty awesome.

  • it supports vst and dx fully... to my knowledge, rtas is property of pro-tools so it is only compatible with digidesign software. I could be wrong.

  • a couple of quick newb questions, I have a stock soundcard in my pc, and make beats on the ASR 10. Instead of cutting and pasting samples and drums or what ever in acid, can I make the beat on the ASR and somehow route the instrument tracks from the ASR into multiple tracks in acid at once? Also, does acid come with keyboard sounds that I can send to my ASR ?

  • In short, yes. However, you may need a new soundcard (with multiple ins) and ACID 6.0. Otherwise, what you could do is isolate the tracks in your ASR, ie. play just the drums first, then the bass line, then the sample, etc... and record each track separately into ACID. That takes a while and you'll have to line the tracks up manually once they're recorded. I'm sure there's a better way, but I don't have much experience in that area.

    P

  • im thinking of getting a program like this. Is this the best and easiest to use?

  • Very good work, congratulations!

  • Thats why all the hip hop rap music is easy

  • I'm not going to dignify this comment with any type of time spent. Already refuted this a couple times.

  • good tutorial maan, really helpful :D

  • is it free?

  • even a retarded person would learn to make beatz with your tutorials...

    good job...

  • thanks for the help. good stuff

  • good tutorial man, you are soo professional.

  • ur gonna always get hate bro so just make more videos so they can hate thas what im doing im making videos for them lol they takin time to write about me hahaha so keep doind ya thing man ny stand up

  • no wonder the song sounds like shit 6 one shots lol

  • I'm glad that many users express appreciation for this video as it has helped them better understand the basics of Sony ACID. If it weren't for them, I'd be tempted to remove it due to the volume of negative and irrelevant comments it receives.

  • He meant the original song sucks because it only has 6 one shots, not your vid.

  • I listened to his beats and it doesn't sound like he uses more than 5 sounds (main sample, kick, snare, hi hat, vox sample)... so I'm not sure why everybody is up in arms here. Some classic beats only use 6-10 sounds (when they reminisce, c.r.e.a.m., etc). In any case, I was only annoyed because the comment was irrelevant and negative, as I said. This video is meant to help people with the basics... for the 672th time.

  • how do you put the sound files downloaded into acid workspace?

  • hey im new to recording music and i just bought the acid music studio 7 to make a demo of myself singing to give out to people in the music business. i really want to learn how to make my own beats to my songs and im having trouble on figuring out how to make the beats and then putting into Acid. Do you have any advice or any equipment you could recommend? i would really appreciate your help.

  • good tutorial but guys stop fighting over.. "oh fruity loops is better! oh reason is better! oh acid is better!" your not a musician if you think that. buy a roland fantom if your a musician LOL.... good video either way

  • You honestly think that a Phantom is going to make somebody a musician let alone a better musician? If that were the case, piano teachers would have been out of their jobs since the keyboard hit the market. I have several professional-grade keyboards and beatmaking is still a challenging process. The arguing is totally stupid, but you seem to be missing the point entirely.

  • no I'm saying if your a real musician you'd know that these programs are trash and I didn't say the Fantom makes you a better musician i was saying that it is just better than acid pro and fruity loops LOL but yea we should do a little compitition do you want to make a beat or are you into sampling?

  • Well, no, it's not better-- a fantom is essentially a computer with instruments and a keyboard. When you connect a keyboard to FL or Acid, load it with good VST's, it becomes a sampler, workstation, keyboard, drum machine, recording/engineering suite and more. There is no difference.

As far as beats go, I'm up for whatever.

  • well sorry to tell you should check out the fantom g8 then bud because it has everything you just said. LOL

How about we choose a song to sample and then take like 3 days (i'm in highschool so time is an object for me) and we post up a video and video response it on here?

  • Fine with me. I have 3 jobs and I'm in grad school, so time is a major concern of mine as well. Let's keep the sample minimal so that we have more creative space.

  • ok cool. I just don't want you to think I'm comming off as a jerk. It was dumb to argue we both have differnt opinions. But anyhow let's just choose a song and then we can just pull what ever out of it. I'm a pretty big fan of aretha franklin or maybe the supremes? I dunno who you like. I don't know much I just now in the last 3-4 months have been getting into the 70s stuff and sampling so. what you think?

  • It's all good! 70's works, but I think it'd be more fun to use a really stripped-down sample. But it's up to you! I'm flexible.

  • dont reply back hes a ahole

  • He's more misinformed than anything.

  • horrible

  • Hah... alright Eren. As long as you're "gangsta," I guess I'll let you make those types of comments on my videos.

  • fl studio owns owns acid;) nuff said

  • Well, no, they do the same thing. You're just most comfortable with FL studio. However, if you're up for some friendly competition, we can go head to head if you're so confident.

  • LOL sure

  • You can get in on it too.

  • i can make that song with my kids fisher price baby keyboard. crappy ass beat. it would actually be easier if you put it on 140 bpm. not hatin on you, you're good i just dont like soulja girl

  • No it wouldn't be.

  • i can make that song with my kids fisher price baby keyboard. crappy ass beat

  • And thanks for repeating yourself.

  • all then sound are in fl studio thats how souljia boi did it

  • i just got acid pro, i didnt even know you could make beats on there. thanks for the video it was quite helpful.

  • lol me too

  • Glad to hear that! :)

  • Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I found it very informative.

  • hey do u know how to take the beat out of a song so only the acapella is left

    PLZ reply A.S.A.P.

    i really need some help

    THANKX!!!

  • Nope, it's not possible unless you have karaoke versions of the song. You're stuck finding an acapella version of the song.

  • good vid

  • bullshyt!!!! dham jus use fl studio how soulja boy did...

  • If the spelling weren't so laughable on this one, I might have addressed it.

  • wer can i get more sounds??

    please answer yo.

  • watch my other videos, yo

  • it nice seeing someone trying to help people work this program. it truly is a wonderful program buts it hard to work i know it took me a year to learn how to work every thing properly in acid 4.0. but now i can compose my music with no problems

but show how to use midi

    that was hell for me

  • did we do this in ita??

  • lol are you being sarcastic at the end there? I hope so. Cause Soldier Boy is waaaaaaaaack.

  • hey man.

    can you help me out?

well i'm making a remix to the song, and i have the tempo but i still can't get it on beat...

  • man people crack me up, i dug your video, not a lot of people talk about acid pro 6 because "its so hard to use" so they get fruity loops instead. I use both of these programs, and if you are serious about audio production and are willing to actually study your craft you would definitely want to get into acid pro 6, it is very versatile and can literally do anything...remixes hip hop songs, rock songs, pop songs, videos, music for films, anything. Great Video!

  • ya I've been using acid since version 1.0 lol. its still not used much but its a great program. Danger Mouse the producer for Gnarl's Barkley uses Acid. He's the only one I've seen so far.

  • i agree... i did a remix medley of Kenna, Depeche and She Wants Revenge using ACID. i love it and how simple it is to use. =D

  • ok, ok, but who's Soulja Boy??

  • I love using sony acid, im compiling a CD with it soon. You are very talented!!!!

  • dude don't mind the buggers they can do nothing but criticize. make more!

    peace

  • Thanks. I'll be working on more videos throughout the summer.

  • sony acid pro is so hard!BUT YOU ARE TALENTED!

  • Thanks. I'm just glad to be of some help to others.

  • I can make it better
